Ram’s friends always told him that he was too naive and trusting. He had always countered that with friends and family, there was never something like too much trust. He was a razor sharp businessman and played hard ball when he needed, but that was a side his family and those closest to him never saw. He was over generous, over trusting to the extent that sometimes hurt those around him when trying to take decisions for them and choosing to please another. He had done this multiple times with Adi, Bri, Vikrant and Kunal over the years….and more recently Priya. It is perhaps this karma that was making its way back to him.
Ram was staring at the frame in his hand. The words on it seemed to mock him. It was the second time she had broken his trust in a way that had knocked the wind out of him. He never imagined that she would use his weakness, his niceness, his need to please her and others against him.
He wasn’t sure if he’d ever look back at rain fondly. He would always be reminded of the trick she had pulled to get him to spill the beans.
He had convinced himself a few weeks ago that they both deserved a second chance, but what were these chances where there was no basis of trust, could love really develop in such circumstances?
Perhaps this was their destiny. To spend eternity with a person who they didn’t trust, to walk on two parallel paths that seemed to be heading towards the same destination but were never fated to meet. Perhaps there wasn’t more to their story, it was as they both set out in the beginning, an obligation for the sake of their families and nothing more.

Note - I’m currently very annoyed with how Ram and Priya’s characters are being written.
He knows how sensitive she is to men lying and yet chooses to beat around the bush! Sometimes intentions don’t matter, a decision you are taking is just simply nonsensical.
On Priya, If there was one character trait they had with her, it was straight talk. She was blunt at the expense of being called khadoos and other versions of it but never . Why would this character choose to manipulate using someone’s nicest memories (I’m preempting based on precaps). Especially since she’s hiding a FAR more damaging and dangerous secret from Ram, one that actually matters and is life threatening.
I currently sadistically want them to just lead super meh lives 😂😂
