Chooda removing ceremony also happens in Hindu families.i belongs to Marathi family after my marriage I had removed my marriage bangles and wore another new bangles.shadi ka chooda utarana jaruri hota hai matlab hamare yaha to aisa hota hai.

Actually I don't know if other cultures also celebrate it like a big celebration or not that's why I said in Punjabi families because I'm a Punjabi and in the show Kapoor's are also Punjabi so I was speaking from my own experience.

Also in Punjabi families only married women are allowed to present gifts to the bride not unmarried girls.

No no I meant at chooda ceremony 🤭

In Punjabi families when chooda removing ceremony happens only married women are allowed to present gifts to the girl.

Muh dikhai happens right after the marriage when the bride comes in her sasural for the first time after marriage.

But chooda removing rasam happens either after 40 days or 1 year of marriage and then it is celebrated with the entire family both girls and boys. Shagun aata hai maike se and ladke Wale gold bangles dete hai Bahu ko. And everyone gifts new cloths to girl. Also in Punjabi family the new bride is not allowed to wear white so after removing chooda she is given permission from the elders to wear white from there onwards. It's a big deal in punjabi culture. Chooda ceremony is not just something girl does on her own.
