I don't hv words to say what I felt when Priya said Mujhe reject hone ki aadat hain. The same lump in my throat when Ram opened his heart out during Diwali.....
That was very sweet of Ram to say agar Dad hote toh bolte badi changi kuddi hain.. I always felt Priya's strength of character , her principles , her brutal honesty would remind Ram of his Dad, and he just said that aloud today.
Priya brushed it off as expected.
Every child dreams of making their parents proud. That pride in their face when we achieve something means the world to us.
Ram was so hurt when he could not fulfil his promise made to his Dad during Diwali, he apologized to his dead father saying he disappointed him.
Then how much it would have hurt Priya to not disappoint but be rejected by her own Dad, to hear him curse her that " tum beti nahi leech ho"
"Tumhe tumhari Maa ko mard nahi rakhna aata. Zindahi bhar akeli reh jaogi"
My heart feels infinite pain , when I hear those painful words coming from the mouth of a father.
Mahendar Sood has no idea what he has done to the fragile mind of an innocent girl. He has given her a life long trauma. Parental rejection is just so tough to handle, to accept. It just destroys your self esteem. Nothing can fill that void in your heart, that your own parent hates you, considers you good for nothing..
When Priya said " Pita ka pyaar , pita ki tareef mujhe kabhi nahi mili", I instantly visualized a little Priya excelling her studies, winning debate competitions , running home with a trophy only to get that one word from her father that "I am proud of you beta "
But alas , it never happened. Then came this creep Neeraj who destroyed any bit of self esteem left in her..
I must say , I am so freaking proud of you Priya Sood , my girl.
It's not easy to be you. You never let the world know how broken you are inspite of the zillion insecurities and inner demons you fight everyday.
It's always easy to succumb to fate , to accept defeat , but to rise up so strongly every time people pull you down, to study hard , to stand on your legs , to be able to take care of your family, when the person who is waiting for you to fall, who is waiting to declare you good for nothing, to call you a failure is none other than your own Dad, it takes unshakeable tenacity and will power to be able to do that.
And look at where this girl has reached today , strong, independent, confident, capable of taking care of herself , her family and even taking care of her husband stand by him as his true equal , has got the guts to even handle his client in his absence..
Itni himmat lati kaha se hain ye ladki ?????????
Kashaf Murtaza and Priya Sood , don't have words for these girls....
Something in Ram broke today when Priya said " The brave Priya ko dar lagta hain ". He recognized that familiar pain that is so common between them.
He would now know , that behind the girl who stands strong as a mountain , is a soft , sweet, delicate, vulnerable girl who is as broken and lonely as he is.
Hats off to Nakuul and Disha for their excellent acting.
Special mention to Disha's phenomenal acting today as drunk Priya. The innocence and simplicity with which she conveyed her pain, I don't have words to appreciate this girls talent.
Who thought the sweet Pankhu will one day be able to pull off Priya Sood with such perfection..
She made me teary eyed, without herself shedding a single drop of tear.
Makers ,this show has immense potential, please give us the story we deserve.
