Part 12:
Next morning, Priya woke up to find her husband sleeping with small smile on his lips while holding her hand close to his heart. She smiled and said a small prayer asking God to keep him happy like this. She got up without disturbing him and went to do her daily chores. After getting herself ready, she went to prepare morning breakfast. Ram got ready and came downstairs to see his wife setting the breakfast table.
Priya: Good morning Mr.Kapoor
Ram: Good morning. You can ask tarun to do these work Priya, don't stress yourself.
Priya just smiled in return.
Slowly everyone joined for the breakfast.
Ram: shubu are you free today?
Shubhu nodded in yes.
Ram : great then can you come to office at 3 pm. There is a meeting regarding your business in which your investors will also be present. so it would be good for you if you attend that meeting, you can gain some contacts which will be helpful for you in future.
Shubu : okey Bhai.
Ram nodded surprised by his reply as he is not the one to relent so easily. Ram thought may be shubu is in good mood, he shrugged his thoughts and started eating his breakfast.
Ram: Priya shall we move?
Priya: 5 mins, Mr. Kapoor I will get my bag and come.
Ram: I forgot to get my wallet Priya
Priya: I will get it.
Ram: thank you, I will wait in the car for you.
Both excused themselves and moved to do their work.
Mami: what is happening nandhini? Now-a-days we can only see them together. If this continues,then we will have to move out someday.
Nandhini got angry listening to her bhabhi and Started thinking how to create some misunderstandings between them.
Shubhu got irritated with his mami' talk but didn't say anything.
He excused and went away when he got a call.
The day went normally and when it was 3pm, shubu came into Ram's cabin which shocked ram as he didn't expect him to be punctual actually he didn't expect that shubu would turn up for the meeting but he was glad to see him.
Ram: hey shubu, glad that you are on time. Meeting will be started in few minutes. I will ask my assistant to take you to conference hall.
Saying so he called his assistant and asked him to escort his brother.shubhu didn't say anything he just did what was asked to do.
He kept quiet and started observing everyone.
The meeting went successfully shubu can clearly see how hard his brother is working, he had his day packed with meetings and calls.
Ram excused himself asking adi to takeover towards the end of the meeting as he needed to attend an conference call.
Shubhu thought how did he manage everything, I am getting tired on seeing him.
It was 8pm, Ram was with his team discussing all the possible solution for the problem that cropped up suddenly in one of their project, when he got a call from Priya. Seeing her call, he smiled lightly asked everyone to a take break for five minutes. Everyone thanked whoever called him and went out fastly as they were in meeting for more than 2 hours.
Ram: haan Priya,bolo
Priya: Mr. Kapoor,I hope I didn't disturb you.
Ram: aise kuch nahi bolo.
Priya: I am going to cook our dinner. Do you want anything specifically for your dinner.
Ram: kuch bhi chalega Priya.
Priya: ok Mr.Kapoor.
Ram: okey bye then
Priya: one minute
Ram: haan bolo
Priya: when will you come?
Ram: I will try to come before 11pm
Priya: what is there to try Mr. Kapoor. 11 pm is pretty much late.
Ram smiled and asked so
Priya: I know I shouldn't interfere in your work. Sorry Mr. Kapoor . You can carry on. Bye.
Saying so she ended the call without waiting for his answer.
Ram smiled at her concern and begin the meeting again as everyone started returning.
10 minutes into the meeting,he can't seem to concentrate in the project how much ever he try.
His thoughts when back to priya, she called him and indirectly asked him to return soon for the first time. His wife is waiting for him at home and he is busy with his project. Not done ram.
Ram with determination got up from his seat
Ram: Let's wind up guys. We can continue this tomorrow morning with fresh energy. Good night.
With that Ram walked out of the meeting hall leaving behind bewildered employees.
Ram entered his home to see everyone in his family having their dinner except his wife.
Nandhini: Ram why did you come early? I mean you came early that to before 9 pm. Any problem Ram?
Ram: Nothing mom, just little tired.
Nandhini: oh okey, take rest Ram.
Ram: ji mom and ordered tarun to bring the dinner to his room.
When he entered their room, his wife was busy talking to her sisters.
The look on her face seeing him was so priceless, he really felt happy with his decision. She ended the call abruptly and started coming towards him. Her face started turning red due to her uncontrollable smile.
He couldn't stop the smile spreading across his face seeing her bouncing in her steps towards him unknowingly.
Before she can understand, she was in his warm embrace. She hugged him happily as even she missed him. Ram whispered in her ears, "I missed you biwi". She blushed hugging him. He too hugged her tightly. Their moment was disturbed by the knock on the door. It was tarun who brought their dinner.
Ram: you take out my night wear. I will see
Saying so he went to get the dinner while Priya nodded.
After getting freshen up, both had their dinner.
Ram: Priya shall we sit in the balcony
Priya nodded her head very eagerly which made him to smile.
Both got settled in the sofa placed in the balcony. Ram started sharing about his day while Priya did the same. They were talking randomly,
When Ram asked tarun to bring some icecream using intercom.
Priya: This is not the right time to eat ice-cream Mr.kapoor and How many times do I have to repeat the same thing to you.
Ram: arey Priya who sees right time to eat ice-cream.
Priya: Who eats icecream on a late night of the winter season. You are so careless when it's comes to your health.
Ram: okey okey don't get upset. I will eat ice-cream when you ask me to hereafter.
Priya: I didn't mean that.
Ram: I know what you want say Priya and I did mean it when I said I will listen to you. So take a chill pill. Today is the last day for late night icecream.
Ram did say they last line little dramatically which made Priya to hit him lightly on his arms.
That's when punnu brought the icecream. Priya smiled seeing him which he returned.
Ram: Thanks yaar tarun, please get some gulab jamuns to.
Which earned a glare from his wife,while punnu nodded and went down to get some.
Priya: Mr. Kapoor why do you keep calling him tarun when his name is punnu.
Ram: I call all my assistants as tarun, it is easy for me to remember.
Priya: will you like it if I address you as Mr. Sood instead of Kapoor.
Ram: kya yaar, I asked their permission before calling.
Priya: Mr. Kapoor what will they answer when their boss is asking. They have to bend to your demand. Mr.Kapoor, a name is their identity. You can't change someone's identity according to your wish. It's not fair for them. He does every work for you with a smile then why can't you address him by his name.
Ram: Priya it's not like that, I just
Priya: I can understand your point of view Mr. Kapoor but it is wrong on your part. Atleast you can try for once.
Ram just nodded and thought is it a really a mistake
That's when punnu came with dessert he asked.
Punnu: sir, do you need anything else?
Ram: no
Punnu nodded and was moving out
Ram: Punnu, did you eat?
What Ram saw on his loyal assistant's face made him feel guilty, punnu stood rooted to his place and was looking at him in shock but his face had a huge smile plastered on it.
Punnu: ji sir. Thank you
Ram: ok you go and get some sleep. Good night punnu.
Punnu: Good night sir, Good night mam.
He went away with a smile on his face.
Ram: you are right Priya, I was wrong. I will buy some flowers for him tomorrow and will ask sorry.
Priya: Are you going to buy white lilies?
Ram: what?
Priya: why do like white lilies so much Mr. Kapoor. Do you like any flowers other than white lilies.
Ram: I like roses now
Priya: do you really like white lilies?
Ram just looked at her whether to tell the truth or not . Then decided to come clean
Ram: woh Priya, in past she liked white lilies so I always bought that.
Priya kept observing him for few minutes before speaking
Priya: Now you like red roses because I like it.
Ram looked at her for a moment and nodded.
Priya: Mr. Kapoor, it is not necessary that you should like everything that I like and vice-versa. We are in a sacred bond and that to for a lifetime. So it would be good for us when we accept each other with all the flaws and goodness. You can have your own likings Mr. Kapoor, it's not a sin to have your own preference. We should respect our own choices first Mr. Kapoor.
Ram: you know what Priya, you never cease to amaze me. I'm lucky enough to get you.
Saying so he held her hand and entwined with his after placing a small kiss in her hand. She smiled seeing their entwined hands which is now resting in his lap.
Priya: Now tell me, which is your favourite flower?
Ram: I actually like jasmine flowers very much Priya.
Priya: Jasmine?
Ram: yes, I like the smell of it very much and gajra made of jasmine always makes the women look more beautiful.
Priya: oh
Ram: I never bought jasmine for anyone. I'm just stating the fact.
Priya: I understand, now let's go and get some sleep as it's getting late. Come on
Saying so she got up from the couch before she can understand in Swift motion, ram pulled her which made her to lose her balance and land straight in her husband's lap. She quickly tried to get up when he tightened his hold on her waist. While she refused to make an eye contact with him as she felt really nervous.
He took her face in both of his hands and made her look into his eyes while he conveyed what he meant.
Ram: what I meant is Jasmine flower will make my wife more beautiful and if you don't mind I would be more than glad to buy you gajra for daily. Priya you are my present and future. No one I really mean No One can take your place in my life forever.
I have heard many wives saying that men will start loving their children more than them but I assure you today, you will be my everything forever. Our children will always come after you. You are more important to me than anyone. We both had our own past, now I'm fully over it. I know that even you are over it. But there may be a situation where we need to face our past, I know you are strong enough to face anything still you should never ever have a doubt about your place in my life. My past,her husband is one of our business partner and she is also a good friend of mine. You may get to meet them one day or another and I don't want any secret between us. I know everything about your past and it is your right to know everything about my past.
He know she will never ask any explanation from him, still he didn't want any secret or miscommunication between them.
Priya clutched his hands which was in her face before speaking
Priya: Mr. Kapoor we have to put this past topic behind our back and start moving forward in our life. We can face anything together and I promise no one can come near your position in my life.
Both smiled looking at each other with a hint of tears. While Priya moved forward and kissed his forehead softly while a lone tear dropped from his left eyes. Ram hugged Priya tightly in that position while Priya to held him like a baby.
