Where is the individuality?

Let me start with am not here to bash or anything not a regular viewer but have seen most of the show and know what is going on hence the post

My Simple question is Where is the Individuality? Why is ram made to be some downgraded version of SSO and they are trying so hard to recreate SSo by inni minni differences.. why they have no conviction in their own character that they had had to make this ram a pale shadow of sso? I am sorry it is so offensive as a fan of the great Wall of SSO. First it was the characteristics that btw were sso's speciality and not part of package of being businessman on ITv like his medicines obsession etc..the quirky sense of style etc apart from his similar character traits but yahan bas foodie bana dia and to change made him more friendly while sso was strict khair but woh sab OK fine part of business keh ke paas bhi kar do toh now they have gone down to literally copy pasting the wedding look as per the precap. It is carbon copy of shivaay Singh Oberoi down to his neck piece like excuse me..why do you want to sell ram as sso 2.0 he is not and he will never be

Sorry but NM is nor convincing as ram and just cannot sell it caz the character itself has no conviction he is trying to be sso ka koi aur version mixed with older ram ke traits but it is just a jumbled up kicchadi ke it is not believable at all. Why can't they let Ram be Ram and leave sso behind..it is anyways impossible to create SSO again but it just reflects badly upon NM as the actor too ke kuch aur nahi kar paa raha and fail ho raha hai trying to recreate caz first of all they don't even have bothered to create any kind of connection and chemistry sab is so mechanical and uppar se bas copy paste kiye jao..aise toh show nahi chalte bhai. Thoda toh kuch apna daalo sso was the past he is iconic for different reasons and will always be what NM will be associated it .. and remembered for it is impossible for him to recreate it too so can you atleast not undo the goodwill he earned through sso by this cheap sa copy and give this ram apna khud ka kuch so people can separate the 2..

I don't see Shivaay in Ram

Ram is Ram being S1 viewer too i don't see old Ram in this Ram nor Shivaay

Ram is just an emotional man who loves his family while his family is taking advantage of him,his innocence & understanding the imporatance of family friends & even others is so heartwhelming

NM made his own Ram & he is nailing it

Again good for you if you don't see it for me he is a pale shadow of sso so I said it and it wouldn't change until they try to change him .. but no they have to legit now dress him up as SSO too

Again am not trying to compare but it is very hard to distinguish because the makers are he bent on cashing on the sso image which explains the copy paste down to the same look for wedding but they cannot do that.. this is not IB 2 this is BALH 2

As I said nothing against NM or anybody else of if you cannot tell by my dp am myself a fan and still checking out for NM only

I left IB after a point of time as i cannot tolerate it

Again am not here to say IB is superior tart comparisons or anything plz do not get me wrong again your choice and this is not about IB ..this is about this show where they have made him such an identical character.. and have given very little to NM to play with. Sirf stuffing your face with food and sitting between a jhund of useless people all day long hardly makes a character or is enjoyable

I have watched IB and sorry but I don't see Shivaay in Ram.

Being an ultra-rich businessman and loving your family is not a unique characteristic of SSO, but is actually a very common trope for ITV male leads. That medicine thing is also not unique to SSO as Ram Kapoor of BALH1 was also someone who took a hell lot of meds.. so that trait is a Ram Kapoor trait (carried forward from S1 to S2) . Now talkimg about the wedding outfit yes I agree that it is very similar to SSO's wedding outfit. But thats about it.

Now the differences-

Ram is gentle and soft-natured. SSO was not.

Ram is a foodie, SSO was not.

SSO was arrogant and proud of his lineage , power etc. (Naam Paisa Power jaap of his). Considered people without these , beneath him (e.g. Anika). Ram is not.

Ram is easy going. SSO was not, it was his way or the highway.

SSO manhandled Anika. Ram can never ever think of doing that.

(There are more differences maybe which I can't think of right now)

And tbh, I think Naks is doing an awesome job as Ram. If only you stop comparing it with SSO in your head, you will notice that this is a completely different character.

Btw I will say that Ram is more similar to Adi of PKDH than SSO. Ram Kapoor feels like Adi after 10 years. But still there is a distinctiveness between the two.

To me, all the 3 characters of Naks look distinct from each other and 3 different people.

Just the actor is same, SSO and Ram are poles apaaaart. Both characters have their own individuality. This is coming from a fan of both the shows.

Ram reminds me of of Adi only bcoz both of them are sweethearts.

Otherwise I don't see any similiarity between Shivaay and Ram.

I know its your POV and all but Idk in which scene u think Shivaay and Ram are similar.

They r poles apart.

About caring about family and being their wall, I think there have been barely any show where a ITV Male lead isn't like that.

I have loved Shivaay and love hot headed male leads but Shivaay was a typical male lead manhandling and getting angry.

Ram is like a breathe of fresh air.

He isn't typical ITV male lead he is sweet, caring, understanding and most importantly respectable.

I think no one except Nakuul can play Ram of S2.

He is amazing, he is convincing and bring that sweetness with him for this character which he does wonderfully.

I think this show will be a boost for him and people are gonna love him more.

Chemistry is amazing. They were amazing 10 yrs back when SM was not so wide spread and I am sure they r gonna be amazing now too.

Ram Kapoor and BALH2 is anything but cheap.

If this was said by BALH1 fans it was understable as S1 Ram was also freaking amazing.

But calling him copy of SSO is weird.

Ram will always be better than SSO as a character.

I think u really need to watch the show rather than calling their wedding look a copy.

It is soo different and their situation is different.

U know the biggest difference between SSO and RK

It is that SSO can hurt anyone else for his family but Ram won't.

He will care about his family without hurting or insulting others specially for their status or family.

This is nothing personal.

Just my views who has seen Nakuul as Adi, SSO and now as Ram and also have seen BALH1.
