I wholeheartedly agree with the above posts.

I wanted to add some technical aspects

Likes

- Dialogues: though sometimes hit and miss, some dialogues do stay with you. I think dialogue writers are doing a decent job

- Song selection and bgm: on point for the most part. Though Dikthana is just so uggh- totally felt Shivina in that scene 😆

- Makeup: I actually like everyone's make up- I don't think anyone has loud makeup in the show. Well, maybe maami, but I think it goes with her character

Dislikes

- Editing: it is atrocious is some episodes

- Pacing: I wish they would just slow down a bit. Just a tad so that we can breathe with the characters a bit.

- Too many side characters: They can definitely cut off a few of Ram's friends and a few of Priya's siblings. I can't even remember half their names.

- Side character detailing- a big big USP of S1 was also the supporting cast- love them or hate them, they had a huge impact. I still remmeber Vikram, Neha, Dadi, Nani, Shipra, the lift aunty 😆 Even the villans were memorable. The characters were well defined and left an impact. I can't say the same for S2. Aadi anf Vrinda are no Vikram-Neha ( in terms of how the characters were etched out) etc.

dislike:

1. pacing! I keep writing this but I feel like the show is some rajdhani express except I don't know what is the destination and neither do I understand the rush. so it feels weird.

2. as a result of the pacing, it feels like all the characters (including ram and priya) are half-baked and the writers are taking some stuff from old shows and randomly putting in new stuff (like pre-nup which isn't even valid in our country - face palm).

3. we are not getting a read on the family dynamics and why characters are acting a certain way. it is like we have been plonked into a middle of youtube video without any context but we are watching this video at 1.5 or 2 playback speed.

4. some of the conflicts feel weird and jaded. for example, ram's stepmom raising eyebrows at priya's family when ram's family situation is just as complicated. some of the dialogues feel strangely tacked on without any context. every episode I watch, I keep wondering if there were scenes that ended up on the chopping floor because there are weird editing transitions.

5. I want original BGM! I was watching another show this week and I was so struck by the piano music that played in the background at key scenes. it added to the mood and also brought out the emotions of the characters. here, the BGM detracts from the most part and you almost want to laugh or just shrug.

6. lighting! can we have a show that incorporates natural sunlight and looks bright? for some reason, everything is a bit dark which is in direct contrast to the mood of the show which is supposed to be light. what is up with all the dark colours on set?

liking:

1. ram & priya -- so far I like the actors and so I am still watching to see if the show gets better. but I admit I am watching with one eye closed. it is not one of those "I have to see what is going to happen" kind of feels

2. I don't want to slap any of the side characters (yet) -- I don't get the motivation of some like the dad but so far, I haven't felt the urge to slap any of them through the screen so far. it is partly because I am not sure why most of these characters exist and what exactly they bring to the story.

I didn't like the pace at which they r showing. Its rushing non stop and sometimes I start wondering why where and how things happened! Don't even understand it... For eg the one where Vedu showing up in the rain and Ram seeing her but ignoring and moving to console Priya. I didn't even realise he has seen Vedika. I had ro repeat watch to understand. Many scenes I have felt like that!

Other things am.really ok. They do overdo certain bits of Rams obsession towards Vedika - who does it even and which husband will tolerate it! Ram stares at Vedu to no end and still Shashi is ok with it?!

And sometimes Priyas unwarranted shouting at Ram. But off late it has reduced already and she ia a lot more patient with him. So am ok.

Dislike

Lack of nuance-Everything is black or white and very in your face which is annoying. Be it the evilness of Mahendra Sood and Co/Neeraj/Shashi or Ram being soft/constant eating, Sandy's gossip, Priya's sharp tongue and much more

Pace - Show is way too fast. If they wanted to have marriage as soon as possible, they could have started the show with marriage and then explained circumstances later. Characters appear in convenient situations out of nowhere and go back to nowhere.

Editing-Awful in some episodes.

Side Characters- Way too many and some unnecessary.

Similar Situation with season 1- Would have liked the plot to be completely different. I know that they have made many changes but still I hoped for something different.

Neeraj and Mahendra Sood and Co on screen- Does anyone need an explanation for these? At least Shashi has separate fast forwardable scenes and his reactions are tolerable, these two have god awful reactions which keep interrupting scenes and make me want to slap them-repeatedly.

I totally agree with your points!

Esp the character development.. I wish makers give a little time to develop these characters so that they leave an impact, like they did in S1
