Does any one else feel that Priya is over the top hyper?

If it continues like this this show will lose a lot of viewers.

I guess , I will take a break of a week from Priya ..

Oops I mean the show

I might be one of the few people who disagree. She is the first FL I have seen who isn't submissive and actually stands her ground. I know that this is just the magic of the first few episodes so I will enjoy it for as long as I can.

Unfortunately, as with all Ekta shows I am sure her character will go down hill to the point where she is basically a doormat. Till then I don't see her as hyper. But as someone who is just completely fed up of everything terrible that has happened to her these last several years. Even yesterdays episode when she admitted that she had yelled at Ram because she was angry and not thinking properly showed me a soft and kind Priya.

But I can see why Priya's character is a turn off for many. In a world of ITV where all FL's just tolerate abuse and are quiet/submissive, characters like Priya make people uncomfortable. After all, how dare a women be just as angry and rude as most all MLs in the ITV world?

I think Ram is jumpy and hyper. That's kind of how Nakul behaves and I really wish he would bring more gravitas to the role. He's popping pills like crazy and hyperventilating at the drop of a hat. You can be an OCD character without being jumpy, someone tell him to look at Ram Kapoor's acting.

Also, they need to lay off popping pills. Viewers are impressionable and will think that if a hero does it, it's okay. It's not quirky to pop pills.

Sorry but I don't agree here. She is hyper bit can't say over the top hyper. Whatever happened to her it's natural person becomes like this. She has gone through a lot. So it's not easy for her to believe on any man.

In fact it’s the sati savitri leads who drive me up the wall!

From my point of view, I like characters with back story and layers.

I openly admit to enjoying shows with angry young male leads & don’t discriminate if a female character is built like that. So at the moment, i am enjoying Priya’s retaliations and feel bad on the sheer misfortune and taunts thrown her way!

If i was asked for a wishlist at all, I would like the negative characters to be dialled down in first few weeks/months as literally right now except Ram’s couple friend and Priya’s mum, all have potential to turn negative ☹️

I agree I feel Ram is hyper and that popping pills like chocolate makes me uncomfortable.

Ram Kapoor is a legend and along with Ronit Roy is one of my fav actor

I agree I quite like her and hope due to trp and love they don't turn her into sacrifice queen who is submissive

She is fair not selfish. She seems to know what she wants and says it too. As of now she is one of the best FL. Even another one I liked on sitara has become confused and silly .

She is not too hyper, at least till now, she is just very frank and doesn't tolerate any shit. We are not used to FLs like her on ITV that's why it seems unnatural. Moreover she has been betrayed enough by her own family members so she is skeptical of everyone.

I want her to stay honest like this forever❤️

I agree with this. Priya is a refreshing FL. One that is almost an alien on the ITV screens. I really enjoy her. That said, I'd like to say that the issue is the lack of engagement between the actors. They are just acting out what they have been given instead of reacting to each other. There is no natural build up. No playing off on each other's dialogues. Priya, when she is not engaged in a screaming match with anyone is fabulous. But enter Ram Or her father, there's a disconnect.

Also, idk how this will be received but I feel that copying the dynamics of Kashaf's household from ZGH and just pasting it in BALH is a chief reason for this disconnect. The writers are doing too much or rather too little. Bas scene copy karke dal do without even trying to fit those scenes into a cohesive story arc.

In ZGH, there was a reason for Kashaf to have any relationship with her father but yahan pe there's no fcuking reason why the father is being entertained at all. Just kyu ki ek aadmi chahiye jo Priya ko constantly remind kare that you're useless because you haven't married 🙄🙄 Like tell me why would Priya give one flying fcuk about what this man thinks, writers. Give me one reason. Just the one!

Anyways.. What I'm trying to say is ki Priya can be the best female lead ever written if only some thought is put into her scenes.

I agree with you on the scene when she admitted she had gotten angry with Ram for no reason. It showed that she's someone who does something before she even thinks it through.

So I hope that she retains her fiery energy, never takes anybody's shit and gives back better than she gets. And God, agar Priya ko submissive banaya toh lanat hai EK aur writers pe.

Also true.. Nakul is overdoing it. Itna extra hone ki toh zaroorat hi nahi. Ram Kapoor ne jo kiya woh toh alag hi level tha. That toh nobody expects Nakul to achieve. But thoda kam acting karega toh zyada accha lagega.

Also the pills wala thing is just getting weird. Jaise aaj he had some anti-cold pills while he was having the ice cream. Like ohohoho.. Kya gazab idea hai. Anti-cold pills. Kya baat hai 🙄🙄🙄

With his character also, things are just haywire. In S1, things made sense, although not so much. Ram was a hypochondriac, he had OCD, he had allergies so he had duniya bhar ka tablets. His love for unhealthy food was at odds. He should have been a health freak but that discrepancy was more to accomodate Ram Kapoor's physique at that time than anything. This time, Ram likes to go out and get soaked in the rain. Ab mujhe batao which hypochondriac does things jisse woh bemaar ho sakta hai, jab ki usko sab se zyada khauf bemaar hone se hain 🙄🙄.

Aise writing dekh ke hi dimag kharab ho jaata hai mera 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️
