Rant & Rant - The Production House needs to pull up their socks

PS: Not a bashing Post but trying to discuss the technical aspects of the show. I would like to encourage a healthy discussion.

So Hi Folks - New & Old Alike🤗

Some of you might know me from another show's forum & some of you might get to know by my first Thread on BALH2 Today

Gosh! Where do I start? I loved BALH1 even though it was at such a crucial time that I couldn't watch it a lot. So when BALH2's promo came & that too with Nakuul & Disha - I was willing to give the show a chance and not skeptical at all . Yet, the entire Team are drowning my hopes in water everyday😭

Not to mention specially the Editing & Dubbing Team🤡

I saw the 8pm TV Telecast today. How the hell is such a big production house okay with such a huge blooper scene. Ram's video call scene with his Friend's wife was shown in the middle of him talking to his Mom. HOWWWW??🤪

What is EK even thinking? She's serving the audience a well-known pair in the form of BALH2 so they'll just lap it up? Where's the iron hold that we know she has over an editing team? The one who had put the team in place during Jodha Akbar for even mini bloopers🥺

We're on the Freakingg 9th Episode already & yet there's no proper flow in the scenes. Most Episodes feel like a cut & paste job gone wrongg.

Ep9 - Today - Priya's crying part, Ram & Priya laughing over the Tissue - It all seemed so fake cos of the horrible dubbing. We all know we wouldn't want a channel's interference not that Sony does meddle a lot in their shows but Sony has given a chance to EK cos of the previous season's success. Why Oh Why...is she hell-bent on creating this another failed project like KZK2 is something I can't understand😡

With stars like Nakuul Mehta & Disha Parmar who are already an eye-catch for the TRP Audience & at a Prime Time Slot too, we can get a GEM😎 of a Show yet I don't see the efforts. No don't get me wrongg, I am not saying its the Actors' Faults at all cos it's not.

But when u're competing with literally one of the Highest TRP Rakers on a rival channel how can this be the dish that you serve your audience specially when there would be loyal fans of PaYa & Nakuul & Disha already ready to pour in their support.

It's High Time this show gets the attention it deserves or I don't even need to spell out what it's future already hold😒

And this isn't about the show being Logical. I'm aware it's ITV. It's just I would really want this show to be successful. Or Maybe I'm expecting too much after getting acquainted to EK's previous shows.

I am seriously so disappointed in EK .. it's like she hasn't/isn't putting any real effort in this show.. being part of the BALH legacy which was such a huge hit and such a great show, plus with stars like Nakuul and Disha who are giving their 200% into the show, it is so sad to see such big loopholes in many aspects of the show.👎🏼

Today's episode was so so bad in terms of editing! And to think we had such important scenes in the show but it all lost its effect due to failure of the creative team! Ughh 😡

The story has so much potential, the actors are so good, so why can't the creatives give their 100%?? Honestly this show does have the power to be a big hit like season 1 .. but if it continues like this, I am pretty sure no one , not even the loyal fans will continue watching. 👎🏼

I wholeheartedly agree! I originally thought something was wrong with the version of the show that I'm watching since I am an international viewer, but after also seeing clips on insta and watching the episodes on Youtube it's definitely on the editing team. I also find that the camera work is a little strange, like, they had this weird zoom on Shivi's face in yesterday's episode and the way the camera cuts from person to person is really weird. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it really seems as though Ekta has become accustomed to the style of pacing and editing in web series and is still trying to find her groove again for daily soaps which I think she should be good with by now, the next week of episode's are almost done.

Agree totally. Was wondering where did this video call come in from no where! In fact I repeat watched to check if I missed something... May be it was a precap at the break or something. Really disappointing. And yeah editing has nor been grt. A seamless flow is missing between scenes.

And the Priya Rams confrontation scene again came out of nowhere. One min they were showing Vedika n the next Priya shouting at Ram. It looked so unrealistic. No continuity at all. I hv been wondering whether the team has been trying to show things differently... New approach of showing things.. But I was not able to follow!!🤦

I feel like the writing team is also writing such abrupt scenes to make sure that the marriage happens early. In stead of rushing the scenes and compromising on continuity it would be better if they cut out some excess characters and plotlines. Coming to the editing, yesterday’s episode was just awful. I really feel EK should put in more effort into the show because they already have a couple that’s popular and the tag of the show. After seeing the medicine promo, I really want to enjoy this show but the shoddy editing and rushed writing is taking away from the experience.

I saw some botched up version on YT so I thought the issue was with the video uploading. So that issue is silly - I am guessing they'll fix it.

But honestly, I loved the tissue scene. Coz I think that was really, real. Maybe the extra laugh wasn't that natural. But sometimes all of us - laugh OTT coz it goes with the flow. My personal opinion - that was honestly one of the most real and realistic scenes I have seen till date.

People do get angry irrationally, and she just burst out. Maybe the editing is poor - since I don't watch on Sony Liv I can't comment.

Of course there are issues. Like the typical bad step mother ( we'll get there eventually), the bad father. For once, I am happy Priya's mother is not money minded while the father is - he's probably too evil but that's one of the unfortunate tropes of TV. Priya has got to have a backstory. And so far, I am happy about these things:

1. Their back stories are very good. And Priya's mother calls out Maitri's shit pretty openly.

2. Even though the whole plot is about the marriage, they do drop in comments like marriage doesn't define happiness etc.

3. That's true and people in real life still take that chance - that's also shown quite well till now.

4. Priya's bitterness - earlier I didn't like it so much, but till Episode 9, I started understanding it. Ram isn't bitter - coz he doesn't have to be. That's one point they brought across very well.

5. This Vedika thing is annoying but - it's fine. I want to see the Priya-Vedu-Ram angle.

Exactly same thoughts. I was like what happenned ...why's she suddenly walking & how does she know where to find him if Ram wasn't aware that she's gonna come stomping to give him left, right & center. I don't think it's about showing things differently. The Editing really just needs to start working pretty hard😔

I'm not sure if it's about the WebSeries issue cos I have watched some of AltBalaji's WebSeries, yet even Bebaakee didn't have this issue. Add to that there's too much crowd around both the Protagnists.

Ram has a whole bandwagon of friends walking around & Priya literally has 4 other siblings. I think it gets difficult for the Director to himself capture so many people on a single screenspace.

The angles they're shooting from might be fine but the editing team ends up not showcasing the right ones causing both of our reactions😆

@bold so true. I definitely agree. My only issue with the makers are abrupt scenes like the last scene yesterday where Priya sees Ram in the audition hall with Akki and instantly starts shouting at him. I mean they should bring more scenes defining Priya’s such abrupt anger.

On a second thought, even I felt that tissue scene was good. I just feel that it was too abrupt. They’re literally rushing the scenes. Coz otherwise the concept of marriage n screenplay they’re bringing in, looks very good. Other scenes are written very well. I liked the elaborated scenes of Priya’s mom with her sister, her moms argument with her dad about Priya’s marriage and her rude behaviour, her moms tit for tat with Maitreyi. I’m just annoyed with story from Ram’s side. Writers should give more depth to his character and his side of the story. The whole Vedu jaap looks way too awkward. Plus I’m just not in terms with Ram’s friends. It’s hell lot of ppl not doing anything or having a back story. It feels like too many Ram supporters for no reason. How can he be termed “Lonely” this way???

Ofcourse, it depends on how each one of us prefer a scene🤗

I was talking about the Technical Aspects only here. The Dubbing & Editing Team really need to address quite a few things here.

Storywise, as long as the characters are doing justice to the roles - I am liking the backstories each one character can provide here.
