There's a new crime based show on TV, but somehow it didn't impress us much

After Bade Acche Lagte Hain, Sakshi Tanwar has come back to the small screen with a new crime based show called Code Red. Well from the promos of the Colors' show, it seemed like something on lines of Crime Patrol and Savdhaan India, but the first episode truly disappointed us.

What's it about:

The episode starts with a woman telling her life saga. How she was happily married with the man of her dreams. She quit her career on his insistence and became a housewife and the mother of his son. Six years into the marriage the spark and chemistry between the couple dwindled away. Her husband started seeing someone else. When the wife finds out she decides to take things in her hand and get rid of the other woman. Whether she successfully pulls off the murder or not forms the rest of the story.

What's hot:

Frankly there was very little good in the whole show. Unlike Crime Patrol and Savdhaan Indian, which are based on real life incidents, this one is purely fictional. The actors roped in to dramatise the story are decent. The direction is good and the production value of the show is much higher than the rest of the crime based shows we've seen. The show depicts the turmoil within a person to choose between right and wrong - and what ultimately pushes them to take the drastic step.

What's not:

Code Red is purely fictional and at times over dramatised. The inclusions of Bollywood songs just make it seem like a short feature showcased in an hour; and very cheesy. Sakshi Tanwar barely has screen time in the show. Unlike Crime Patrol and Savdhan India, where you have the host narrate and explain the situation, here the main characters talk to the camera and tell their story. Sakshi looks exactly like she did when she hosted Crime Patrol. The promos of the show depicted a very different story, but the show is neither gripping nor engaging. If it is for sheer entertainment then that should be specified right in the start. The first two episodes will showcase the lead actor talking to his conscious - the good and the bad. It seems to be the central idea of Code Red.

Verdict:

All in all, Colors and Sakshi should have opted for a better show to promote. We'd definitely not recommend this to anyone - there are still better things to watch on the idiot box.

I don't think she has wasted her talent.
Its the PH who do not know how to put her and utilize her potentials😊

About the show I felt gud, the story line on the first day was about human mind at times fail to think and take the step forward, fails to make rigth decisions when hatred, betrayal , revenge is surrounded by you, how human beings loose their sensibility and that leads to nothing but loose ur life or have to pay a huge thing ffor it.
Psychological imbalance. Yes BGs like Bolywodd movie😆😆

only annoying thing for me is Yes Sakshi being shown for hardly 3mins in the entire 50mins😕
