Hey guys
Let's not even talk about why I haven't update in such a long damn time. I swear I'll start dying of guilt if we start.
The point is that I'm definitely NOT sorry for not updating because I am making it up to you 😉 Wait and watch this week maybe?? You'll know what I mean.
Actually I'm too excited to keep it this long from you so I'll tell you now itself 😛 I'm going to post an update every day for this week and next week. And I will. If I don't, which will NOT happen then I will not mind if someone attempts to jab me in the eye with a knife multiple times. Maaf karo na! Pweasee?
CHAPTER 3
'Acchi hai na, woh Priya ladki?' Vikram asked, tying the balloons to his hands.
'Uss mein ek special cheez zaroor hai. Saaf saaf nazar aati hai uski aankhon mein. She is something for sure'. Ram said, slightly smiling.
'Uski friend kaafi talkative hai'. Vikram added.
Ram stopped for a minute and rewinded. He gestured his hand in front of Vikram making him stop too. Vikram looked confused at Ram.
'Theek toh hai na tu? Paani chahiye?' Vikram quickly glanced around the park for a stand that would sell water.
Ram snapped his fingers that made Vikram jump slightly. 'Uski friend ne kaha ki hum dono uski bookstore ke first and last customer the. I remember'.
'Haan, toh?' Vikram asked.
Ram started walking again. 'Arre, toh matlab? Help karni chahiye yaar. Dikhne mein pata toh chalta hai ki woh middle class hai. I feel so bad for her. Help karni chahiye usse'.
'Ram, kya yaar. Yeh kya ajeeb si khayal hai? Abhi abhi mile ho!'
'Toh? Mujhe already pata hai ki yeh bohot sweet hai. Nahi yaar mujhe ab usse help karna hi hai'. Ram said, chewing on the cone of his ice cream.
'Accha chal, jo karna hai kar. Meri baat toh sunega nahi tu'. Vikram muttered.
'Mein tere ghar pe so raha hoon aaj'. Ram said after yawning loudly.
'Hein? Kyun yaar Ram?'
'Mujhe ghar nahi jaana yaar. I need a break from that place'. Ram said.
'Arre aaj raat mein aur Neha busy hain yaar. Bohot kaam hai aaj raat'. Vikram said.
'Abbe teri guest room ka bed toh busy nahi hai na? Pooch nahi raha hoon, bol raha hoon'.
'Arre samjha kar na yaar Ram. Aaj raat mere aur Neha ke itne bade plans hai aur itne din tak karna tha yeh'. Vikram pouted.
'Ohhh. Samajh gaya mere dost, samajh gaya mein. Pagal ho tum dono. Itne bade hokar bhi'. Ram said, laughing.
'Abbe just shut up yaar. Sick minded idiot'. Vikram blushed.
'Oho dekho kitna sharma raha hai bas ek teenager ki tarah lag rahe ho. Kya hai na Vikram, tu apne aapse jhut bol saktha hai lekin yeh jo saamne khada hai na tujhse, usse kabhi jhut nahi bol paayega. And guess what, tum dono jo bhi karo na raat mein, jo bhi naughty cheez karte ho na teenagers ki tarah, mujhe koi farak nahi padnewali hai. Mein apne aapko guest room mein lock karoonga aur tum dono ko jo bhi karna hai baahar, karo tum dono. I'm not stopping you. Mere extra clothes pade hain wahan, mere extra toothbrush and undergarments so your home is my home'.
Priya and Shruthi...
'Ek din mein, do baar! Wow yaar Priya, yeh definitely badi baat hai'. Shruthi sat inside the car and buckled her seatbelt up.
'Yes Shruthi, I heard you the first thousand times'. Priya rolled her eyes. 'Ghar drop karoon tujhe?'
'Haan, neend aa rahi hai mujhe'.
That night (Ram)
Vikram rang the doorbell shakily. Ram stood beside him and stifled a laugh.
'Vikram Shergil! Agar woh tum ho then please get out I'm not letting you enter'. They heard a loud and angry voice from behind the door.
'Neha, yaar, bhuk lagi hai mujhe'. Vikram tried to sound normal.
'Bhuk lagi hai? Haww! Yahan iss ghar mein sirf sona aur khaana? Tumhari ek beevi bhi akheli padi hui hai. Aaj hum dono kuch karnewale the raat mein? Woh bhul gaye ho? Dekho time! Kitna late hai! Sab kuch destroy kar chuke ho'. Neha whined.
'Woh Neha...Neha mein...Woh mein...Woh mein tumhare liye hi toh gaya tha baahar baby. Tumhare liye kuch...kuch...birthday surprise plan ki thi meine. Darwaza kholo na babe'. Vikram pleaded.
Immediately the door opened and Neha jumped onto Vikram.
'Praise the lord! My husband is finally starting to become romantic'. Neha exclaimed loudly.
'Ahem'. Ram cleared his throat.
Neha looked onto her right and immediately jumped off Vikram. She gave him the death glare.
'Isko yahan le aaye ho? Mr. Vikram Shergil, aaj humaare plans the, if you know what I mean. You're ridiculous. Mujhse jhut bola tumne? Koi stupid surprise nahi hai. Sab kuch jhut'.
'Arre yaad tha mujhe. Yeh idiot ne hi insist kiya tha aur mujhse poocha bhi nahi ki aa saktha hoon ki nahi. Bas straight away kaha ki aa raha hoon mein'. Vikram said.
'Mein tum dono ko disturb nahi karnewala. Jo bhi karna hai karo, I don't care. Goodnight'. Ram walked inside the house and gave Vikram the thumbs up.
He went inside the guest room, noticing Vikram and Neha's children. Gave them hugs and kisses and said goodnight. He quickly changed to his extra pair of pyajamas that were always left in the guest room shelf. He brushed his teeth with the extra toothbrush that was left there for him and jumped into bed. He took out his iPhone 6 Plus and immediately opened up Google.
That night (Priya)
Priya twisted and turned but no way in hell could she sleep. What the hell is going on, she thought, usually she sleeps the second she jumps into bed. This was so unusual. She sighed and slipped out her phone from under her pillow. She opened up FaceBook and scrolled down her News Feed. Nothing interesting.
She opened up WhatsApp and tried texting some people to see if they were awake- nobody replied. She went up on YouTube to watch something, she realized that she didn't feel like it. Finally she decided to listen to some music. She slipped her earphones out till her phone vibrated into her hand and immediately started to ring loudly. She jumped a little.
Unknown number? What? She never got calls from unknown people. She hesitated on picking up. Finally she chose to.
'Hello?' Priya answered softly and hesitantly.
'Um..Priya?' A familiar voice asked.
Who the hell was this? She knew this voice, SHE DID! But...she didn't.
'I don't know you'. Priya blurted out.
'It's Ram. Ram Kapoor'. He answered awkwardly.
What the hell? RAM KAPOOR was calling PRIYA? How did he even get her number? Why was he calling HER?
'Aap...aap? AAP? Aapne mujhe...aapne mujhe kyun phone kiya sir?' Priya asked.
'Please don't call me sir. Just Ram, please. And um, mujhe pata laga tha ki aapki bookstore utni acchi nahi run karti. Matlab, aapki zyaada customers nahi aate. Iss liye mujhe aapko help karna tha'.
'Sir...I mean Ram... That's so sweet of you lekin it's alright, um, mein manage karoongi. Aapko...aapko fikar karne ki zaroorat nahi hai'. Priya said.
'Priya, mein tumhe pooch nahi raha hoon. Sacchi mein kar raha hoon mein yeh. Mujhe already pata lag gaya hai ki tum bohot hi sweet ladki ho aur tum yeh zaroor deserve bhi karte ho aur I'm just helping you out of concern. Please, please don't deny'.
'Ram...Ram, mein aapka help kaise le sakthi hoon? Kitne bade businessman hain aap aur mujhe dekhiye, I'll feel like crap. Please'.
'Tumhare aur mere mein kuch bhi farak nahi hai. Sirf tumhe aisa lag raha hai. Meine bas iss liye phone kiya tha kyunki mujhe kehna tha ki tum aur mein kal coffee ke liye milenge aur iss baare mein discuss karenge. That's all. End of discussion. Phone rakho. Goodnight. Take care. Sleep well. See you tomorrow. Mein tumhe address SMS karoonga. Bye'. Ram immediately disconnected.
Priya took a minute or two to actually accept that whatever happened, actually happened. That was no dream.
Awkwardly, still in a state of shock, she slid her phone under her pillow, lay on the bed again and unknowingly, she slept immediately with a smile on her face.
