Part - 18

Priya's heart bounced as her phone rang. It was him. She threw a glance at her watch, it was nearly 12. "Why is he calling so late?" she thought to herself and picked the phone.

R: hi...!! did I disturb??

P: no, look who's calling me? Whats the matter Ram?

R: busy you are?

P: not exactly, I was just writing my dairy, aren't you asleep yet?

R: well, I am overjoyed, that I am not able to find sleep.

P: overjoyed???? Why all of a sudden

R: well today was one of my favorite nights, I enjoyed it thoroughly and all because of you. I am still not able to believe all what is happening is reality.

P: oh..? so what should I do to make you believe? Shout in front of the whole crew? Is that what you need?

R: (smiles) nope, I don't need that, a tight hug and kiss will do.

P: (blushing) Raaam..!

R: you blushed now right,

P: hmmm...!! (Blushes more)

R: really Priya the way your cheeks turn red when I do something, it really drives me mad. And one more the way your tongue plays on your lips ufff..!! Enough to drive me insane.

P: huh..! You haven't told any of these things to me before? Well I will make sure not to drive you mad again.

R: nooo..! I like the feeling. well, I am really scared to say all these when I am near you

P: (laughs) what ????Ram you're scared of me, please, I couldn't take this, maybe you are nervous but definitely not scared.

R: ha yes..! not scared baby, don't know how to say it, I just swallow when I come to say these words.

P: again don't..!

R: are you sure? (scratching his temple)

P: hmmm..! yeah sure (blushing, hugging her pillow)

R: well Priya I just want to ask you something?

P: sure Ram go ahead.

R: when was the first time you realized you love me?

(silence)

R: Priya are you there? did I ask you anything wrong?

P: (moves to the balcony) well Ram, the first day I saw you, I never knew that all these would happen. It all seems like a dream. But I felt a different feeling towards you, something which I have never felt before. I felt happy whenever you were around, that day when I stumbled and you supported me I felt secured. When you proposed and when we danced I felt loved. And when you taught me golf, your touch, I feel electrified even when I think of it now. All these I have never felt before. I don't have any idea of what love is until I met you. I still don't know whether this is love or not, but I just know that I cannot move a single second without you. You have become like a drug to me.

Ram is lost in her words. He knew that she loved him, but so much love? She was opening her heart to him. He didn't want her to stop it. Never he imagined that he would get someone who loved him so much.

P: Ram did I bore you?

R: (smiles) well I was just hoping that wouldn't stop it at all. Priya I dot deserve so much love

P: even I don't, but you keep showering your love on me. Tonight, is the best till now, I felt like heaven. Being there with you, close to you is all I want.

R: same here, I could have confessed a little earlier, wasted nearly a month.

P: ha and that night after the competition you nearly scared me, the way you looked at me, I thought you would swallow me up in one go.

R: (laughs) I really didn't know what I was doing then. I really felt so bad for that Priya and I tried to move away, if you haven't seen the diary then I am sure I wouldn't have opened myself forever.

P: I know you well Ram, thats why I kept it there. such a golu you are..!

R: what?? Golu?? I mean I was hesitant to confess so that you mustn't feel uncomfortable and you call me golu?

P: (Laughs) hmmm..!! lemme see that

R: You will see. Well I want to ask you one more thing?

P: Ram till now I was with you and you didn't ask me anything?

R: well I sought of go dumbfounded when I am near you, my mind blurs and I am able to see only you.

P: where did you steal this from?

R: huh..! its my own yaar, I swear

P: ok now will you go ahead ?

R: ha yes..! just wanted to ask, that night you got wet in the rain, just because for me right?

P: well I always give a try to what people say, I did the same and it felt good.

R: lie, I can easily find when you lie.

P: oh really..!

R: I know very well you lied, and your turning all red now.

P: Rammm...!

R: no no don't do that, don't look at the floor, OMG..! Priya your so red now

P: Ram (turns back)

Ram smiles at her waving his hand "Hi" raising his brow. "Ram when did you come here" she asked. "well not much time, just now" he replied inserting his hands in his pocket. "You scared me" she said. "Oh did I really?" he asked marching forwards. She pushed him "Now go and sleep" she ordered. "Well I am sure both of us wont get sleep, that's why I came to help you" he said. "what?" before she could finish he swept her in his arms. She held his shirt to balance. His strong arms held her firmly. She was pining to him. She was able to feel his warm body, his manly aroma filled her nostrils. Her hands held his neck. He walked swiftly and placed her on the bed, he gently the pulled the duvet over her. her hands were still around his neck. "So you don't want to leave me darling" he asked, as a naughty grin came over his face. She immediately pulled off. A strand of hair fell over her face. He tucked them in and caressed her face "good night" he said. "Ram I am not getting sleep" she complained. He smiled and started humming a song. He looked at him as he paced the room humming the song. She couldn't stop herself from starring at the handsome man who was standing in front of her. she wanted to go into his arms and hide herself in his chest. Her eyelids met and she drifted off in a few minutes. Ram gazed at her sleeping form, her guiltless face looking like a baby. he went near her and dropped a soft kiss on her forehead "Love you" he whispered. "Love you too" she replied sleepily.

Priya woke up, her eyes felt heavy to open. She didn't want to open them. She could spend her life sleeping. She slowly opened her eyes and saw Ram sleeping in the couch. His head resting in his hand, his hair ruffled, his mouth opened. He was snoring lightly. She smiled looking at him. She got down and put her slippers. She walked to him and sat beside him. She always wanted to caress his lovely face, his chubby cheeks and those eyes which never failed to make her feel loved. His hair standing straight making him look sexy. She made her fingers run through his hair. It felt soft. He opened his eyes and saw her, he gave a sleepy smiled. she immediately took her hand off. "Arrey why you stopped, I was enjoying it" he said. She blushed "Ram get ready now, we have a lot to do today" saying she left to the changing room.

After an hour they were done with breakfast and ready to leave. Due to Ram's stubbornness Priya was wearing a lavender kurti exactly matching his t-shirt. The morning they visited the church. Time seemed to fly away in clicking pictures, listening to the history of the church. Exhausted they sat for lunch. Once lunch was done Priya was doing some shopping and Ram was talking to some of the people in the island. Kevin was helping Priya in shopping and clicking pictures of her. "Kevin can you tell me about you sir?" she asked. "well mam I have been with sir for so many years, all I have seen of him, is his arrogant business nature and as a son no one can be better than him" he said. "arrogant? He doesn't look so." She said. "Well after the travel in the cruise, I myself, am surprised to see his behavior. I have never seen him so happy like this before. Its all new to me. But he is such a kind man at heart, who cares so much for others" he said. "I know that" She replied. "Mam and he loves you more than himself" he said. "I know that too, shall we leave?" she asked. he nodded and they left to reach Ram.

It was a week, they were walking out from gym in the evening. "Priya I am going for a swimming, will catch you in some time" he said. She nodded and waved him bye.

Both them never knew that their life would take a turn all of a sudden. Each day that passed seemed to more lovely than the previous one. They realized what they had been searching in life for so many years. LOVE. Ram never left her even for a second. The more he felt himself attached to her, the more he respected her, the more he loved her. He wanted to make her all his forever. Priya who always thought that science was the one which would give her happiness, she knew now how wrong she was. The more she opened up to him, she felt her heart growing light. She found a companion who would share everything with her, including his soul. Hiding her face in his broad chest, to feel the lubb and dub of his beats was the best feeling she ever had.

She walked up to her room humming the tune he used to hum for her daily night. It was her favorite. He always tucked her to sleep before he fell asleep. She opened her door and switched the light on. A small gift sat on the bed waiting for her. she went and picked up, there was a small note with it. she recognized his neat, straight writing and smiled.
