Part 16 - The very last!!

Hey guys,
Its the one last day today.. The finale finally coming up today. A journey of 3 stupendous fantabulous fantastic years coming to an end.
Its been a fun 3 years of a perfect blend of friendship, love and passion. RaYa are one unforgettable couple and will always stay close to my heart.
I started this FF 4 months ago and the love and response i got from you guys for my effort has been terrific. Love u guys!

Ram picked her up in his arms and strolled around the room. "Peehu, you are not going back there. You are coming with us, to our house. Okay? Me and Priya will never let anything happen to you. And i promise, that uncle and aunty are punished.", Ram assured her.
Meanwhile, at Kapoor Mansion, KK was worried. She had no clue where Ram and Priya were and she hadn't seen them since morning. None of them were even picking up the phone. She called up Vikram. "Vikram, i cant find Ram and Priya since morning. Both of them are not even picking up their phone.", she said worried.
Vikram reached Kapoor Mansion in sometime and tried tracking Ram. He had called everyone from Rams driver to his secretary. That's when Ram entered the house with Priya and Peehu. "Ram! Where were you guys? What id going on?", Vikram asked. "Beta we were so worried..", KK said. "Maa, i'll tell you'll. Priya, just take Peehu inside and put her to bed na.", Ram said. By then, Neha also came to KM.
At the end of the story, everyone was shocked. No one ever thought that Varun could do such a thing. Ram and Vikram proceeded to the police station to file a case of child abuse, while Priya and Neha waited back to take care of Peehu.
"Priya, have you thought about adoption?", Neha asked her. "Yea Neha, i did think about it. But then, me and Ram have only been married for a month. I think we need to understand each other. I would love a kid around. But Ram, what if he is not happy?", she said. "Have you tried talking to him?", Neha asked. "No Neha, not yet. I want to give him some time before we take that kind of responsibility.", Priya replied. Neha just nodded.
It was almost two weeks since the incident. Peehu had recovered now. She was still at Kapoor Mansion. Priya just couldn't let her go to the NGO without making sure that her princess was alright. She would spend all her day with Peehu, taking care of her.
At the same time, the case on child abuse was going on in the court. Ram and Priya had managed to prove the Khuranas guilty.The final hearing was due one week later and the court had given Peehu's custody to the Kapoor's till then.
Ram kept busy these days. He would leave early for office and come back late. By the time he would reach home, he would find a sleeping Priya and Peehu cuddled on the bed. He would caress both their face and giving a kiss on their forehead, he would sleep next to Peehu. In the morning, Priya would wake up first. She would get ready and make breakfast for Ram. By then, he would get dressed too and come downstairs. The only little time they got together was during breakfast. They would talk over the phone during the day, but that was different. Both did miss spending time with each other.
One fine night, Ram came back from work as usual. It was pretty late and he had skipped his dinner. Not wanting to disturb Priya, he decided to go and check in the kitchen. As he opened the refrigerator, he felt a pair of arms wrapping around his torso. He turned around to see Priya behind him.
"Go and freshen up Ram. I'll get your dinner ready.", she told him. "And how did you know im back?", he asked her. "I always know it when you come. I cant sleep without you snoring besides me.", she replied. "Oh really? And why do I see you sleeping when I come every night?", he asked her. "That's because I love it when you kiss me and the way you run your fingers on my face before you sleep. Makes me feel special. You come directly to the room everyday. Since you didn't come up today, i came down to check." she said blushing. He laughed and hugged her. He started kissing her on the neck when she pushed him away.
"Ahaan, not now husband. Go freshen up and come back.", she said. He left her to go up to their room reluctantly as she turned around to make his dinner. He came back in sometime to see Priya setting up the dining table. "Priya where is Peehu? She's not up in the room.", Ram asked her. "She's at Vikrams place Ram.", Priya replied. "The kids insisted on taking her and Peehu wanted to go as well. Neha forced too. They'll get her back in the morning."
Both Ram and Priya knew this was a plan. They knew Vikram and Neha would have taken her so that Ram and Priya could get some time. Ram and Priya loved each other and understood each other. But that didn't mean they didn't want to spend time together.
Priya laid down the dishes when the light went off suddenly. She turned around to see the cause but what she saw was Ram lighting a candle. He came and placed it at the centre of the table.
Priya served him as he relished his dinner. It was after really long that he had a proper meal. Priya sat next to him and kept adoring him. As he finished, he looked up to see her adoring him.
Ram helped Priya in clearing the kitchen and together they walked out. They were walking towards the stairs to go upto their room when suddenly,Ram picked her up in his arms. "Ram let me down. What are you upto?", Priya asked shocked. "What do you mean what are you upto? Isn't it evident? Carrying my wife upto the room", he replied with a smirk. "And why do you think i cant walk?", she asked. "I don't think you can't walk. Its just that i don't want to waste any time in having you in my arms." the reply made Priya go red. She was blushing, hiding her face in his chest. That night, Ram and Priya decided not to let each other move away even for a second. They were glued to each other.
"Ram, wake up", Priya called out the next morning. "Let me go please. We need to change. Peehu will be here anytime now.", she pleaded as she tried to move his hand and leg that he possessively wrapped around her ashe slept.
He lazily opened his eyes to see his wife struggling to get out of his arms. "Good Morning wife, what are you trying to do?", he asked her. "Ram let me go. Vikram and Neha can be back anytime with Peehu. And you get dressed too please.", Priya pleaded. "On one condition. I want my morning kiss.", he said. She slowly came close to him as he loosened his grip on her. Giving a quick kiss on his cheeks, she ran off to change.
"Priya, there are a few papers on the coffee table. Sign them before you go down.", Ram told her. "What is it Ram?", she asked him. "Nothing much, just some investment that i want to make in your name.", he replied. As she went to the table to see what the papers were about, Peehu entered the room.
"Priya aunty.. See, im back.", she shouted in glee. "Aww mera baby", Priya said picking her up, "How was your night? Did you enjoy?". "yes aunty. We enjoyed a lot.", Peehu replied cheerfully. Neha was still at the door, smiling, looking at the bond.
"Priya sign the papers before you go please. Its urgent.", Ram said as she was about to go down with Peehu and Neha. "And you rockstar, come here to me. Looks like you have forgotten your Ram uncle. No one misses me.", Ram pouted. Peehu quickly gave a kiss on his cheek and wrapped ger hand around his neck. "I missed you Ram uncle. But you don't have time only. You are in office all the time.", Peehu complained. "Now, im done with my work and i will spend all my free time with Peehu.", Ram promised her.
It was the hearing to the case. Varun and his wife Anita were put behind bars and the best i in town couldn't save them. He vowed to come back and take some revenge but Ram and Priya chose to ignore. They were happy that the culprits were behind bars.
Later that night, Ram and Priya were in the bedroom. Priya sat at one end, with her back resting against the headboard. Ram lied down with his head on her lap. She ran her fingers through his hair, as they kept looking at each others eyes. Suddenly, tears welled up in Priya's eyes. Ram got concerned and got up immediately. He cupped har face and asked, "What's wrong Priya? Why are you crying?"
"Nothing Ram. Its just that i have seen so much happiness in the last few months that i feel scared. Scared that it might all be taken away from me. Sad that i might lose people i love. Now see, Peehu has to go back to the NGO tomorrow. She has given me so much happiness Ram. She has been the daughter i can never have.", she said crying on his shoulders. Ram just held her and let her cry out. "Priya, listen to me. I know you have had the best time of your life in the last few months. But trust me, future is going to be better. And get this fear out of you. You are not going to lose anyone. I promise you that. And I love you. Nothing can ever hurt you Priya when im with you. I wont let that happen.", he assured her. " i love you Ram.", she said kissing him on the cheek. Just then, there was a knock on the door.
Ram went to opened the door as Priya wiped her tears. Peehu ran in with Krishna walking behind her. Ram followed them smiling. Priya was confused at what was going on when Ram pointed to the clock. It was 12 am of 12th Jan. It was her birthday.
"Happy Birthday Priya", Krishna wished her. Priya bent forward to take her blessings. Ram came to her and gave her a kiss on the cheek. "Happy Birthday!", he wished. Priya blushed hard as she said thanks. She kneeled down before Peehu. "Wont you wish me baby?", she asked her. "Of course. Happy Birthday Mumma", Peehu said.
Priya couldn't believe what se just heard. 'Mumma?' Is that the word Peehu had used for her? She hugged Peehu as tears found way down her cheeks. "Say that again baby", she said. "Mumma", peehu repeated. Priya showered kisses on Peehus face out of joy. She then looked at Ram for an explanation.
"The papers you signed the other day, for investments. The adoption papers were mixed with those. I registered the moment the Khuranas were put behind bars. Formalities should be done jn another 15 days.", he explained. She just couldn't help hugging him that very instant.
People clearing their throats got her back. She saw the whole of Sharma's, Neha and Vikram with the kids at the door. They had all come to wish her on her birthday. The party started with music, dance and cake. Priya was dancing with Peehu in her arms.
After some time, she came and stood next to Ram. "Thank you Ram. You have given me the best gift ever.", she whispered in his ears. "Its you both who have made my life beautiful. And that's why, i love you both.", he replied. They were smiling at each other when Peehu came running to them and jumped into Rams arms. He held her between both of them as they kissed her cheeks together. "I have the best mumma papa in the world.", she said to both of them. "And i love you."

With that began Ram and Priya's perfect happy family life!!
