Actor Ram Kapoor, who plays
a pivotal role in the film,
Shaadi Ke Side Effects, has not
allotted any time so far for
promotion of the film. Sources
say that even though Ekta
Kapoor's production house
approached him for dates a
while ago, the actor hasn't
given them any so far. A
crewmember says, "Initially,
we were going to release our
film in December, so we asked
Ram to keep aside certain
dates for the film's promotion.
We wanted to chalk out his
interactions as well as include
him in some promotional
tours. Accordingly, we had a
word with him in November
and he told us that he would
confirm the dates a little later.
However, he hasn't given us
any dates yet."
Incidentally, Ram has been
busy thanks to Ekta's TV show,
Bade Achhe Lagte Hai. Now it
has emerged that the makers
will shoot an episode with
Farhan Akhtar and Vidya
Balan. "Ram kept going back
and forth on his dates even
though the film's release was
pushed ahead by a couple of
months. He has informed us
that his schedule for the next
few months is packed and
that he has no time to spare,"
says the crewmember.
When contacted, Ram
confirmed the news. "It is true
that I don't have dates to
promote the film. This is
because the production house
had not informed me earlier
about the promotions. I was
under the impression that I
would not be needed for the
same as the film belongs to
Farhan and Vidya, and mine is
a small character role," he said.
Ekta Kapoor too confirmed the
story. "Ram is busy shooting,
so it is getting tough for him
to manage both " the show
and the promotions," she said
