Seems like romance and love is in
the air. Earlier in the day we
reported about choreographer
and actor Salman Yusuff Khan
getting married tomorrow, and
now comes the news of two
lovely actors getting engaged.
We are talking about the pretty
Tanvi Thakkar who got engaged
to talented actor Aditya Kapadia
on 24 December (2013).
Tanvi, who is currently seen in
Sony Entertainment Television's
Desh Ki Beti Nandini, met Aditya
when they both were a part of
the show- Ek Dusre Se Karte Hai
Pyar Hum on Star Plus.
Talking about their love story, the
bubbly beauty shares with a
broad smile, "We were acting as
brother and sister on the show
and we would get to spend a lot
of time together. I loved playing
word games, and felt that I was a
pro at it until I met Aditya who
made me feel zero. This is how
we started bonding and soon
Cupid just struck, even though I
had decided I will never marry an
actor, I think his intelligence did
the trick."
So when did the family agree to
the match? "Since we both are
Gujratis, there was no problem,
they were more than happy to
say yes'. Also my brother is
named Aditya too, so my family
gave consent after hearing the
name (laughs). But yes, being
from the same cultural
background, it was surely easy to
convince them."
And since both of them are
Gujratis, we wondered about the
Roka ceremony they had which
is a Punjabi tradition. Tanvi
replies, "We had decided to
official our relationship with the
engagement and it was
supposed to be just a family
affair. But when we started
counting on the heads-and that
too only important ones, the
numbers shot up and it would
have been difficult at home, so
we had this ceremony at a
restaurant. It was not exactly a
Roka ceremony, but something
similar to that. "
Also the news of Aditya getting
replaced in his show Bade Achhe
Lagte Hain (Tellychakkar.com had
reported about it) got flashed on
the same engagement day. "It
was seriously a strange feeling; a
sad and good news both at the
same time, but since the good
one was a bigger happening, I
think it overcame the sad part.
We had got the news much
before, but we had decided to
keep it under wraps so that the
family happily enjoys the day,"
avers Tanvi.
And what about marriage plans?
"That will surely take a year. We
both need to first get settled, and
sort out a lot of things in our
professional lives before
enjoying marital bliss."
Well, we wish the couple a great
time ahead.
