Sakshi is one of the top paid actress in the industry and kudos to her! I think Mona, Shweta and the league are paid the similar amounts due to their talent and experience in the Industry. And she does advertisements which should add to the current amount shown.

Let's not bring in women and pay scale here. I think that's absurd Atleast in the TV industry. It's a brand value and recall apart from talent paid industry. I doubt OM got paid as much as Parvati during KGGK! It's just depending on the production house contracts they had at that time. Usually TV is a woman based Industry and except for the rare Ram, Ronit etc, the men usually get a raw deal.

As for as acting chops by the forum critics, unfortunately we don't seem to be the determining factor of pay scale. And I agree it's unfair the female lead needs to deliver such lengthy dialogues while the male lead had to emote and walks awy with the top most salary. Not fair eh? But again there must be a very valid reason by EK who isn't gonna throw away a 1.25 lacs per day to Ram ;-) Someyhing that's beyond the naked eye of the biased audience who have their favorites

Oh before I forget about the other article quoted, I think in a month both RK and ST make similar amount. Apparently this article quoted Ram gives 15 days and ST gives 25 days! So EK might have mentioned the overall pay being similar :-)

The article that I posted (TOI interview) mentions nothing about the number of days both actors shoot.. All Ekta Kapoor said was that they get paid the same. So since pay is based on daily earnings, if Sakshi shoots for more days, contrary to what you claim, she actually takes home a larger pay check than Ram, NOT less. Bottom line is that for Ekta, Ram and Sakshi are both equal . I know you RKR girls never lose an opportunity to come an defend your hero but facts are facts.

Also, everyone seems to be assuming that these numbers of 1.25 lakhs and 70K are accurate. As Sonal pointed out only Ekta, the actors and their managers know the truth. It is a silly pointless exercise to speculate on this. The important thing is that Ekta is a shrewd businesswoman who has publicly announced that she does not discriminate between Ram and Sakshi in pay.

And btw if we read the whole thread it seems pretty obvious which actor is being defended for their pay scale isn't it? Oh wait, uproar is made for rather. Lets not bring forth other sites simply because IF is very less tolerant about labeling and calling members even in a nice way.

Looks like you missed the fact that I merely combined the two article. And just like the way you assume that EK meant daily pay instead of monthly, I have assumed both articles are correct. Just using logic without emotions here actually!

Just see the HT article with the no of days and pay per day and connect it to the other where EK says they are paid the same or something on similar lines!

Why would anyone combine two articles especially if one was quoting unsubstantiated numbers and the other one had a quote from the lady herself? Like any responsible person I go to the source and in this case Ekta. It is idiotic to cherry pick sentences especially to try and build a case to prove a bias. The HT article provided a case to substantiate your bias. It has NO grounding in fact ,unless you can provide me pay checks from both actors that can hold up in a court of law, Sorry you lose. This is so typical of you RKR girls. You never let silly things like facts get in the way of your opinions. Your site reminds of Fox news and I feel like Rachel Madow trying to get a point across to Sean Hannity. Trying to get a point across to you is beyond what my Ivy League education has trained me for. Ram is a very fine actor and doesn't need people like you scouring the net and rushing to defend him all the time. His work speaks for itself. Your attempts to bring the Ram Vs Sakshi divisive debate from RKR are not wanted here in this forum. People here respect and admire both actors equally

You might just wanna check the box next to the name! I have been here long enough to know this forum allows discussions and not assumptions. If you cannot read the post without assumptions of bias, I cant reallt do anything about it. It is clearly praising both actors while stating the obvious that unfortunately the armchAir critics aint deciding payscale. I have been observing the debate from a distance and there isn't a single objectionable word I came across. This is about the money that two well-paid actors receive, isn't it? So, where does your sense of offense come from? Does being out-argued constitute offense? I ask because I am genuinely interested in figuring out what the tolerance threshold is...

Does the "Let's get mad" point come when someone has a point of view you don't like? or is it when you feel out-argued? Or do you think its because they have chosen to frame the discussion in a way that compares you to Sean Hannity (who gets paid heaps!) ? Just curious.

Feel free to butt in. There is no issue with comparisons to quirky newsroom folks. It's about dragging other websites and labeling apart from accusing of trying to create a divide when the person is just posting their opinion.

And with respect to winning or losing an argument, like I said in the first reply, none of our arguments are gonna make a difference to their paychecks. Doesn't stop us from sharing our two cents in a
Respectable way.

It's just an article and all of us have our interpretations about it. Is that too hard to understand? All I said was refrain from labeling folks and it seemed to not register which is why I had to report the reply.
