But let me correct you on one point. Ram was in RB mode quite a bit in season mode. Here's the ones I can think of...

2. shipra accident
3. Kartik slapping nuts . Ram breaking off wedding
4. Karvachauth
5. diwali with Ashvin
6. post Honeymoon upto the Divorce papers
7. Nuts kidnapping, kartik in jail drama
8. at the Kapoor INdustries party where KK makes an appearance.

don't underestimate our CVs. they milked the actor as much as they could!

Now who's going to count all the hugs? My hands are not steady when I try to list those! 😆

Right from the start, even in season 1, they always portrayed Priya as a kind hearted, lovable kind of person and Ram as a ruthless businessman.

So whenever there is an issue, Priya is shown to be thinking about others, to be sacrificing her happiness yada...yada...

and Ram is shown to be hard headed and in RB mode.

here's what I think is the reason behind this...

Let's look at the actors:

Ram Kapoor the actor does such a good job portraying the raging bull... when he is angry, I feel scared. I feel like he is yelling at me. I want to go hide behind the couch. He is good as a smiling happy man too, but other actors might be able to do that. NO ONE can do RB like Mr Kapoor does.

Sakshi Tanwar does such an excellent job crying. she can show subtle tears of joy, subtle tears of sorrow, tears of hurt, loud tears, loud crying, crying while smiling... you name it...she can do it. And when she is in that sad state, you want to reach into the television (in my case laptop, but that is beside the point) and give her a big hug and comfort her. Other ladies might be able to do cute like her, and be happy or bubbly like her, but NO ONE can cry like her.

So tell me, if you were a CV for the show, wouldn't you try to showcase these strengths of these two powerhouses you were lucky enough to have on your show?

Why would you waste such talent? why wouldn't you try to make Sakshi cry whenever you got the chance, and make Ram be angry as much as possible?
To achieve this if you have to botch up the story, make the characters take very illogical turns and unexplainable decisions, then so be it!

And remember! the ultimate talent these 2 actors have is to show us how to do a real HUG . A HUG that can TUG at your heartstrings like nothing else can! So all the CVs have to do, after they are done making a mess of the story, is to get both of them to shout their lungs out (which they are also very good at ) and then HUG! And VIOLA! Fans are happy...
This formula worked in season one, and it will work again in season 2 and any other season they might want to come up with!


I think the Priya-fan section should thank Ram for making Priya cry and thus ensuring more awards for Sakshi.

(P.S: I am glad Amrita''s forte is not crying, or we would have had to watch a sad Pihu. Amrita does a great "Happy Kid" so I am hopeful for the Pihu storyline. )

Gita,a very well crafted support for the CVs,brings one to totally forgive them and hat is because of your well written post, the CVs still need to redeem themselves ( my POV) for the stupid leap( my POV again )
