What a day after a dull beginning to the long test match. Today was a delight for the audience. Ram Kapoor hits a double century and Priya kapoor hits a century too! Niharika's googly went terribly wrong and ended up being an over for 6 sixes. RK and PK did a Yuvaraj singh of her over😆 Sid's got a new googly planned up for the next day. Sharma's had their own celebration at the dressing room while our 3rd and 4th batsmen(Neha-Vik) had a friendly tiff before their turn to bat. Indeed the pitch for a batsmen's delight and the roaring audience got their paisa wasool. Stage set for another interesting day with the bowlers planning a few seamers to surprise the settled batsment. Sounds like a plan to me. Ram's double century highlights: Today belonged to none other than Ram Kapoor. From the upset husband who can't spend a minute without his wife, to the patient listener of his wife's explanation. From the instant make up from his sad state to telling himself abt his changed nature of not holding anger coz his wife was sweet.From the sleepy man who wakes up looking for his wife who then walks up to his wife's surpise to the son who adores his father. Now that's how you react to a surprise. Those emotions on seeing the statue(top part of it!) just made him race to the first century. What an innings?Folding of hands automatically on seeing the father displayed the son who missed his father like crazy and felt like he was indeed alive right next to him.The feeling of a man who has always given but never received. The man who finally felt the happiness of being cared and getting his unsaid wishes granted. His face said it all. There was happiness, joy along with the gratefulness to his wife who made it possible. The silent prayer with folded hands and that eyes closed but every emotion was felt by all around.He just made the perfect century with no flaws.The audience were left with tears of awe and happiness on seeing his performance..
Yet again.
Critics who thought he was getting carried away after listening to Nih can take a backseat and seal their lips coz this man was not mad but upset. Not becoz of his Mom's words but his wife's absence. That's the only thing that mattered. He was an epitome of love!!
The 2nd innings to the double century begins during the thoughts of him having that special someone when he was younger. While his thoughts were getting completed in words by his partner, his reactions of subtle surprise just hit another sixer. The taken aback look and the tone in which he asks about how she knows these things was another four. The reaction to his partner's questions on digging the past leading to the FB of washroom was a hit outside the park. He made the 150 runs at his mark. The realization of how stupid they have been while destiny has made their bond ages back but they chose to ignore it. Now the remaining 50 runs are a cake walk. The big bear hug and the dam of emotions that went through in his mind which he held tight with his eyes closed. Every one of those memorable moments from the 1st time they meet. Their fight, the petals, holding hands infront of Ass-swine, the adjustment of tedi bindi,clumsy walk to the hospital, the accidental fall during picture taking. From the "Main inse shaadi karoongi dialogue" to the actual shaadi, handlock during honeymoon in Aus, first happy hug for a cancelled honeymoon,handshake towards dosti, screaming confession of ILU , on the knees confession to the consummation moments. A FULL CIRCLE!
Priya's century highlights:
The ghudiya who entered the business tycoon's life with no expectations just made the biggest surprise for her husband. She was confident would bring the biggest happiness in his face. She walks into the KM and greeted by a googly from Nih and Mamaji. After a taunt abt being MIA, she profusely apologises and tells them that she would handle her partner's upset state. Seeing the lion upset on the throne, she gets closer to patiently explain his concerns leaving a note to wait for answers. His silent treatment is manaofied by her affirmation about an impending surprise which she cannot talk declare. She breaks the ice asking about his dessert and leaves to the changing room. The 1st half century is hit. With the googly of Niharika being hit for 6 sixes.
The next quarter century is made with the statue surprise moment. She calls him downstairs and asks him to close his eyes like he always made her to..Then the surprise that sweeps the earth under his feet leaving a big smile on hers. She was finally seeing that emotions flow from the man which started to affect and even made her eyes tear up.She lets him know and her awareness of her FIL's birthday. One thing that the CV's should have done definitely was to share the credit. It was unfortunate that they never let PK mention Rishabh since infact he was the one who spent the whole night and got it ready.
The last quarter century was hit with the scene where she completes the dialogue and Ram's thoughts. About how he wished for a girl in his life who will not love him for his money,success but just for himself and marries him. The one who accepts him unconditionally. Then trying to figure out of the washroom meeting in and she realizes tht she was indeed the person inside the washroom.She even tried finding the person who had the convo since their thoughts were so similar. The bear hug and the flashbacks of their whole life ever since the first meet. Life indeed had come along a full circle!
Brilliant performance and thankfully subtle and not OTT!!
This partnership was what made the triple century. It would have been meaningless and impossible without their togetherness. It's their trust and understanding that would help each other and absence of one surely makes them incomplete. Their success wouldn't be possible without each other and the sooner they understand that they win as a team, their life would be a smooth run.
Bowler's DRESSING ROOM STRATEGY:
The back to back centuries leaves the bowlers get back with the thinking cap on. The busted bowler Nih is close to conceding defeat while the star bowler Sid has a plan ready. He shows them the newspaper about Ayesha's interview and assures that this seamer is gonna get Priya Kapoor clean bowled and back to pavillion. Left with no choice, mamaji accepts that they would go ahead with the strategy since there was nothing but loss already. Day 3 may spring in surprises.
Sharma's celebration over press reports:
Ayesha sharma calls on the whole Sharma clan players to watch her interview on the press. The excitement makes them all go crazy while a sane Nutz tries to figure out the way she got an interview in the first place. Ayesha goes on her "I love Sid " mode.. a little change from " I love bhabhi" earlier. Shipra the spokesperson of the team gets back to making announcements while the last batsmen Karthik wants to celebrate. Nutz concern abt Sid's involvement ends up in her leaving the ground while a surprised Karthik and shocked Sudhir end up reading it otherwise. For once, can the Sharma's see the truth before getting beaten up? And yes.. their own little celebration is gonna create trouble for those standing batsmen in the team since they have little care for anything other than themselves now!
Tiff between the next best batsmen :
A rutna manana scene with the couple over the increasing work schedules of Vikram. A contrast and similar scene to KM but the make up doesn't involve a surprise. A waiting wife and a late husband.Vikram's working schedules and late night arrivals leave Neha upset and irritated once again. Harry's mention makes her irritation shoot the roof.But Vikram's hunger makes her forget it instanteneously. The anger goes away through the window while concern takes over as they make up to have a calm dinner. But the thought of Harry creating havoc in their lives makes Neha ponder.
Overall, a run feast and a delight for the crowd. Day 2 was fast and happening with many memorable moments. While Day 3 looks like springing some surprises with a turning pitch prediction, the eyes are set on the century makers. Will they make it all the way or will they return hurt after their innings? Will the Sharma clan players and Neha-Vik take over and help them or hurt them with their own share of troubles? Lots of action pending and the match swings both ways. But we know that however hard the seamers hit, the lead batsmen will take it all on but come back with a bang. Cause true love never fails!! Enjoy!
