Dear Friends,
High drama in today's episode and as per formula too, I am willing to withstand all this but as long it is once in a while, far in between...aaj ki do baatein...
1) The director is trying his best to tone down Sipra, to some extend he has managed too, today Sipra did not do anything drastic inspite of being accused by her husband for being like a 'step mother' she managed to keep her cool. I have already started liking her.
2) As predictable the groom had been arranged by Ram, I had turned the channel briefly but I think the reason given by the groom is that he was not being paid well hence he decided to take the offer of Ram...kya Ram what kind of employer are you? Don't you look after your employees...jokes apart..whatever said and done both the father and the brother jumped in accusing Ram for all the goof up, no fault that they did not do proper investigation, nothing is wrong in that, chalo koi mila to put the blame on, so Ram it is 😔 What about your drawbacks...aise kaise shaadi kar rahe the beti ki without proper checkout and investigation, too hurry to get rid of your daughter eh?
Last but not the least...Priya turned out to be the most sensible, more than her father even, she defended Ram well but then she went on and on, saying all those things about being married and not being married...yes whatever she said was correct but somehow I could not connect the high drama to Priya character, I mean I was expecting Priya to get back to a shell and then stand in the balacony where Ram comes to aplogise...again nothing wrong with the dialogues but the way it was delivered the subtleness of Priya's character got lost is my take...
Jate jate...much as I hate it seems that trademark Ekta's style the consipiracy or sazish will get Ram and Priya together...oh no...I was expecting a guilty Ram offers himself to Priya much to the horror of his step-mom for she knows even if Priya is a middle class girl she is not a dumb fool...your thoughts friends, love Tin

Hey! I haven't watched the episode yet, but I have seen the clips from SBB - I totally agree with you. In fact, i mentioned Priya's histrionics during that (in)famous scene in her building when Ram is forced to carry bags and climb the stairs and then they talk, rather, scream at cross purposes...
I thought that was not in keeping with her character either...too outlandish for my tastes too.
Too much hand waiving and flailing about. From everything else, Priya seems to be a quiet character, so I wonder why the actress is playing the dramatic scenes like this? I love the idea that she would have said her piece with quiet dignity and retired to the balcony where Ram could/should have followed...

Also, agree on the second bolded section: Niharika is quite stupid though. I guess we have to swallow that she has not read Priya well, in spite of all the proof that Priya herself has offered her today of being a woman with her own mind!

Agreed Tin. I'm glad that Shipra has been tamed to an extent but i would have loved her if she had something to Vineet/Ram. Even though i hated the fact that everyone pounced on Ram but i seriously wanted the mother to open her mouth at that particular time.

I really loved the last scene. Whateva priya said was indeed close to reality. Any girl could connect to it. I really liked that she spoke her mind rather than crying in a corner. When she was looking for answers from karthik i was actually expecting that guy to wipe her sister's tears. But to my disappointment he was standing like a Statue. And whats with nuts's expression. The chick is blank.

I was a little disappointed in ram(the character). Why dint he let vik say? Why did he take all the blame on himself? True that it was his fault but priya's family is equally to be blamed after all it was their duty to make all the requisite inquiries about the guy. Its so easy to put your blame on others and get rid of the guilt...

Totally agree!!!!!!
Yes,Priya's dialogues were all nice n true but while watching,I was like-"Typical Ekta" in my mind...
The way Priya talked didn't go down with her character at al..
I was just expecting her to defend Ram n go to balcony n think to herself that "this is not 4 m n I always knew there was something wrong nmay b marriage s not 4 m " n then Ram ll come to console n apologise n then with emotional scenes n then every1 ll come n make Priya laugh...

Having an emotional outburst is a normal reaction. Priya had hers today.

I think it went pretty well with her character. She maybe soft spoken and polite. But she is today's educated woman who is capable for standing on her own. She is as blunt as a knife if she needs to make a point . Crying or having an emotional moment doesn't alter anything.

Priya is actually very real. And to mistake a EMOTIONAL outburst as a weakenss is wrong. Emotional people are more sensitive than others. It doesn't mean they are WEAK. It should not be mistaken for weakness..

Enjoyed today's episode...in spite of Priya's emotional outburst. Glad to see that even 30' plus people have their moments. Loved Mr Kapoor's guilty look on the face..he still looked cute.
Totally fair.

I completely agree with you ar every point, but specially the above points !! These were exactly what I had in my mind... I so much didnt want Priya to react the way she did, although whatever she said or did was well executed by Sakshi and were all correct in some or the other way.. As much as i could read the character in these few days, i felt, it would have been much much better if she had rather not spoken out blaming the rest for what ahd happened...rather would have kept silent and moved on after some silent words, instead of an outburst.. Ram's apologising following that would have been the best part ..But...

Also, i had mentioned in some thread last day itslef, that i would not like it at all if its Niharika coming forward with the idea of RP's marriage... i would have prefered if Ram does start feeling softer for her ... Anyways, this was very well expected and so it had to happen.. Lets see, how R P react to this now..😊

enjoy watching everyone !! 😊

I had not seen the sbb segment nor read any article so the prospective groom is married stuff was too typical.

Coming to Priya's outburst, it was needed and Priya is not someone who would see the blame going on Ram when she knows that it was the condition of her brother at first place. Emotions and patience took a toll and she had to burst out for the sake of her self-respect and dignity. Be it her mom's hurry in getting her married to any guy, her dad who did nothing but felt he was not a good parent only bcuz daughter is at home at 33 and her brother who acknowledged her efforts in bringing him up but indirectly meant that she cant afford to stay by herself. If she had kept quiet, she knew that tomorrow people and society would put the blame on her. The last scene saved the entire episode for me. Her acting, dialogues were brilliant!

Okay folks,

Just saw the whole episode and I have to say, I really shouldn't have commented before seeing the whole segment! It was tad melodramatic, sure, but it wasn't OTT like i thought it would be.

I LOVED the fact that Priya told off that stupid Karthik. šŸ‘ šŸ‘ šŸ‘
He is a prize ass...so conservative! He should tell the world (which, acc to him, will blame Priya for the broken engagement ) to go to balzes! Instead he has appointed himself spokesman of the self-same people...

AND

I LOVED her sarcastic remark about Ram's "ehsaan" in arranging the match and then preventing the engagement. šŸ‘ šŸ‘ šŸ‘ He deserved that & more.

But, she was right in first pointing out to her own family the way they treat her. After all, if she can't count on her own family for support, why would a Ram Kapoor act differently?

She showed real dignity today and I liked how she did it...it was an emotional outburst and it seems long overdue...

Her family needs to spend some time reconsidering their attitude and Mr. Ram Kapoor needs to eat some humble pie...I wanna see his apology

How do these two build trust from this low point?! Will be interesting to see how he can win her trust...

I have to say I am generally disappointed with today's episode...

That balcony scene was so charming...and today all this formulaic melodrama...am really confused again about what this show wants to be...

I have nothing against emotional outburst but somehow with Priya;s character that needed to be more subtle and silence or saying things quietly does not mean you are taking things lying down...she could have questioned her brother in a calm and icy tone, when you have failed why are you blaming someone else ditto for her father...and Oh I love the balcony :) it would have been a perfect scene for Ram and Priya tit-tat maybe her mother overhearing some of it and feeling guilty how they have pushed Priya ...
