With my entry, hopefully viewers will start liking Dastaan: Bhaumik Sampat
After creating ripples on Zee Cinestars Ki Khoj about a decade back, Bhaumik is back again in the TV space with this project. His character will be called Neil and he will play a doctor. Gradually it will be revealed to the viewers that Neil is Nandini's (Additi Gupta) first love. He will accidentally meet Nandini in a temple and after getting to know that she has become a widow, would want to re-connect with her. But how his life gets embroiled with Meera (Sanjeeda Sheikh) will be an interesting twist in the tale to watch out for.
Ask Bhaumik what made him accept a show which is dominated by two strong women and one indomitable veteran actor, he says, "I get to romance two gorgeous ladies, Additi Gupta and Sanjeeda Sheikh on screen…need I say more?? Plus there's Kiran Karmarkar in the show who is like an acting institution. There was no reason for me to say no to such a character."
He continues, "Daastan had a slow start but is now picking up fast and the storyline is becoming exciting. With my entry hopefully viewers will start liking it even more. I have already shot the promo and will start shooting for the episodes soon."
Speculations are rife that the show will soon move from its original 10 PM slot to some other slot. Does that worry him? Says the actor, "Not at all. A show works on the basis of its screenplay and storyline not on the timeslot. I'm certain with the new twist in the tale, viewers will definitely tune in to the show despite the change in the time slot."
Some big surprises are in store for the loyal audiences of the show. On one hand Bhaumik Sampat as Neil will enter the show as Nandini's (Additi Gupta)ex-lover and on the other hand, a wretched Balraj will get Meera's (Sanjeeda Sheikh) mother Aarti (played by Preeti Mangain) killed because she comes to take her pregnant daughter away from the Asthana family.
