I think this Turner Production is responsible... Until NDTV was associated with the channel it was good ...

Actually, no! A lot of the problems Rakhie listed above were there when it was under NDTV's ownership. If Turner is too impatient w/ shows, NDTV showed the opposite - it allowed shows to drag on (Jyoti), and took meaningless leaps (Bandini). Problem now is that Turner doesn't reward shows that are doing well, as was seen w/ Rakt Sambandh a month ago and now w/ KMH2 and GkD!!!

I like the idea of a swayamvar for Imagine TV 🤣 But more seriously, anybody who want to make stuff for Imagine TV should do a collection of stories, rather than a single storyline, so that it can be switched off and on @ Imagine's whims. Something like the Jataka tales, or something like that.

Jyoti started draging after her divorce ... which was in starting of 2010, same goes for Bandini after santu's imprisonment of 10 yrs ... that also from staring of 2010 ...whereas On 8 December 2009 Turner Asia Pacific Ventures (a wholly owned subsidiary Turner Broadcasting System) had acquired a 92 per cent stake in NDTV Imagine Ltd..(Source :Wiki)

Actually, Jyoti was dragging even b4 that, w/ the Brij-Sushma saga, and there being too many near misses on Devika being discovered. Jyoti at the time was both enjoyable (Devika/Suday track) and unwatchable (Brij-Sushma track)

Things weren't dragging as much after her divorce - Deepu's marriage happened, then Pankaj's, then Kabir came in... It did drag some after the death of her father, when they seemed to be taking forever to tie her up w/ Kabir.

Thanks for filling me in about when Turner took over. So in other words, RS, SS was totally during the Turner regime, as was every serial that started in 2010?

well Rakhie i too felt that shyam of BV is one of the best male characters on TV. but this is once upon a time story coz now shyam has no much to offer. i mean the character. so it's good vikrant left it. anyway the show BV is more about anandi & as fuzzy said i watch it for anandi's sakešŸ˜† vikrant being there or not has no effect on mešŸ˜† btw vikrant being in BAVD is also right now ineffective as i don't watch it even for himšŸ˜†

i seriously agree that all the shows started on Imagine were innovative concept wise but later on the serials did no justice towards it's main theme. agree with rakhie about the serials mentioned. well devi was promoted as a story based on a true incident. that was what made me watch it but later on i just don't know what they did to the story. kashi was started off brilliantly right from episode one but later it seemed as if the story will go the Uttaran way of Colors, thankfully it didn't but then after the leap the serial was just a love triangle😲

same here... BAVD had been promoted as an emotional tale of a young midget girl. but amazingly instead of showing bharti's struggle in her campus life, all of a sudden the CVs jump into the marriage track. bharti was just 20 so what was the hurry for marriage. they could have easily shown her college life & then slowly jump into marriage & it wouldn't have looked as filler episodes. but nope! same goes in BBCG, sarika is just 19, then what's the hurry for marriage.

there's Colors channel that is raising voice against child marriage through BV & here is Imagine channel glorifying not child marriages but Early Marriages with examples like bharti, sarika😔

I feel if they showed her struggle in college life and her office the show would have been much better and fresh ... Like Jassi this show might turned out to be a huge hit ... But no they followed the tried and tested way of family saga ... which actually has no innovation without only the lead being short height ...They don't want to take risk ... they don't want to wait ... These channel really needs to go off air .

The idea of conducting a swayamvar for Imagine TV is a great ideašŸ‘šŸ¼

Btw how many people noticed that most of the serials on Imagine TV have their names which refer to finding someone or about marriages? Like Pardes Mein Mila Koi Apna sa🤪, Baba Aiso Var Dhoondo, Beend Banoonga Ghodi Chadhunga🤔 or Looteri Dulhan & obviously Swayamvar season 1, 2 or 3😵

Imagine TV is higly obsessed with this marriage conceptšŸ˜†

Now I know why the girl is always married at an early age sacrificing her studies & career. Who said Marriages are made in Heaven, they're made right here - on Imagine TV LOL!🤣

Btw what are the two new fiction shows lined up after RKR???šŸ˜•

Vik, I didn't stop watching BV because Vikrant left. I stopped because at around that time the track was just dragging for me and I subsequently lost interest. Since then, it's picked up pace but I just can't pick up where I left off with the show.
Shyam has been totally sidelined anyway. And the new Shyam and Sugna just don't appeal to me at all. I read the updates and if an epi is worth watching I'll watch it.
Vikrant isn't responsible for me being here either. The character of Bharti is. Or I should say was. Because CV's have reneged on their promise of a story about the struggles of a dwarf woman! So to be honest I'm not sure why I'm still watching šŸ¤”
May be it's because I really want to see MridAla get their comeuppence 🤣
