oh my God, where is the old babuji? i don't like the new one at all, at least for the present...
the old babuji was so mild and soft spoken..he suited really well as murli's dad...
i missed him through out the episode...

The replacement selection for Bansi was horrible. I just did not like the selection. May be as days go by, I will start getting used to this actor I guess. But like @hashbrown was saying it did not jive well for atleast today's episode.

there was absolutely no match between the two personalities of the two actors, so it was a bad selection without a doubt...

this replacement today leads me to realize that my initial thought of bansi lal getting knocked off by the cvs was wrong...it is not bansi lal who is knocked off, but the actor, Dadhi Raj. he was doing so well. i don't know the reason but when the promo was aired, i thought it was just an omen that something bad would happen to a family member, and this time it would be Bansi...when sumisa91 reported a FB wall post, i thought this must be it...i was so wrong!

now i am seriously concerned about the promo... is vikrant really going to be out of the show? if so, how horrible will that replacement be?

i still think the actors remain committed to the shows, and they should, unless it is real serious...
i expect that vikrant will be part of the show, even after the leap... dadhi raj's departure made so much of a difference today...i can well imagine what it would be like without vikrant...

Those were the same thoughts going through my mind. If Bansi is not getting the boot, then is Vikrant really leaving the show ?? Usually telebuzz would be the first to pick up on things like this. But you never know. It won't be same without Vikrant and since us viewers have Vik and Juhi picturized as Murli and Bharti it would be hard to change that perspective if they were to bring in a replacement. They both have grown to be a part of their characters and it will not do any justice to bring in a new actor/actress as it might take a while for him/her to get accustomed to the role. Also, most of the time the on screen chemistry might be lacking if they were to replace one of the lead pair.

Changing the actor playing a crucial role is always a bad idea. A very bad idea.
When Vikrant left BV and was replaced by some next dude, I subsequently stopped watching. The role of Shyam as essayed by Vik was so ingrained in my head, that when someone else took his place it was as if they were playing a completely different character!
The new face and the established character just did not gel. The new actor wasn't a patch on Vik, no matter how hard he tried. The character seemed to change with the actor, and I hated it.
While I understand the need to give the new 'bauji' a chance, I missed the 'original' bauji through out the whole epi today. I know Bansi isn't a very strong character anyway, and at times I often wondered why the hell he was there? But he was always quietly making his presence felt in scenes and I quite liked that. My only gripe with the character was that he didn't always speak up when he should.
If Vik leaves, so do I.

I absolutely side you on this Rakhie! Indeed this naya bauji mujhe raas nahi aaya! The new one seemed to be of the more stricter and commanding types like. Whereas the old one fitted the bill well, Bansi's character was played to the T by him. For he (old one) had that calm and simple nature required by the role.

Vikrant is he leaving the show? Any confirmations on that?? I announce it openly BAVD is THE END for me! I'll only sit back and relax watching the VMs by cheznazi and reminiscence the good old days and BharLi moments!

Seeing the promo another option came to my mind is that, Vikrant might leave the show since they show Murli dead like. And we would have a new actor come in play his role like with a plastic surgery done or something (very common in desi serials 😆). But a honest request to Vik we can't imagine BAVD without you, so please please do stay back if you have the intention of leaving 😭!

i need to know two things. if someone could help me on these two, i will highly appreciate, as i need assess the situation.

1- where did this idea come from that vikrant is leaving the show? was it just a buzz or a speculation? there hasn't been any news article/information indicating to that effect...at least not one that i have come across...
it has been going on at the forum for quite some time now, but i never really paid any attention to it...even at the release of the latest promo, i shrugged the thought of it, and assumed that it would only be meant for bansi, and not murli, as a normal way of deceiving the viewers...but today i was stunned by bansi's replacement. it means the character is not going any where. it is to stay...

2- why did vikrant leave BV? was any reason given to the media for his departure from the show?
is vikrant habitual of leaving the shows at his free will?

i would really like to know the answers of these two queries...

i understand that actors have genuine requirements at times to make changes in their priorities...if there are any, i would like to know them because as i viewer i have put in my time and heart into a show...

i shifted to vikrant because he is firstly a great actor, and it is a pleasure to watch him;
secondly, he has been there all along, into the show, physically present there all the time...
i grew fond of him because i felt he is an honest and committed actor...i therefore expect and hope to continue watching him even after the leap...

The imagination of Vikrant leaving the show literally scares me and make me upset, it's the only show i use to watch , and as hash says, i am also totally in it. Vikrant and Juhi are the backbone of this show, no they simply ARE BAVD. I promise, I am not going to watch it anymore if one of them quits the show, and I am sure, there will be a lot of viewers with the same reaction!

@hashbrown
Nothing as of yet has come from the media. It is just that we all are speculating it. For one after the other death threats to the two main people seems to be fishy. And that in one article here in the forum I read that
"On the other hand Bharti gets a dream about Murli's life being in danger. Later Murli will reveal his plan of going to Vaishno Devi which will scare Bharti as she will find a connection between her dream and reality. Their trip to Vaishno Devi will be one of the high-points in the show after which the six-year leap will take place."

So based on that and the promo I'm just placing my guesses on. We might be wrong just hope and pray! And the promo why would it be for Bansi?? They might as well show his photo instead of Murli's, would't that make sense?

I haven't seen Balika Vadhu at all. So idea on that bit at all. But from what I presume and deep down my memory. I think that when the leap took place there in BV, Vikrant bagged this role here and made a move. Not too sure, someone else who is a BV fan would help us on this.

The main idea which got me to watch this serial was the uniqueness in the story and first of all for Juhi, she is so cute and natural in her acting. But what kept me more glued was to see the fiery Vikrant just shouting his gullet out at a little girl so calm and peaceful. And then onto his transformation into an understanding and caring person, which I love the most!!!
