Great first episode

I haven't watched the second episode yet, but I have to commend the makers for such a great first episode. It's a shame the episode has been cut up and shortened for the repeats and for the international broadcast.

First episode was quite refreshing and set my expectations high. From the shots of Lucknow, to the narrator's poetry, to how we were introduced to the characters, and then how Nikumbh and Yamini first met. It was nice to see a first meeting which went on in a normal way. And by that I mean, there was no eyelock, no bg while they stared for a few seconds, no sudden fall and catch, etc etc. While they do have a tiff, it's done in a realistic manner: subdued and not OTT.

I am looking forward to this show. I've been awaiting this for a few weeks, hoping it wouldn't let me down. And the first episode did not let me down at all. In fact it exceeded my expectations.

I can only hope the show doesn't disappoint me as so many others which start out promising, only to descend into family drama and/or kitchen politics. Or for the show to have sudden change in script and take regressive, convoluted, nonsensical twists and turns where characterization and sensible plot development go out the window.

Most shows begin very promisingly, won't you say? 😆

The first episode was really impressive. Why we can safely have expectations here is because this is Neelesh Misra's story. The show is to taste of the regular TV audience but I am really hoping he doesn't succumb to regular TV practices and keeps going this way.

Epiphany.

Yes they do. And I agree that we can safely have expectations here. But at them same time, we've all see what happens again and again. As you said, I too am really hoping this doesn't succumb to regular TV practices

And it can't be said enough about the first episode: it was really impressive. The same goes for the second too.

The 1st epi was really gud, it impressed me, I like the fact they there is a narrator, real locations & there r a lot of reality through the characters & the approach of the story. 😃
Hope it won't disappoint us & turn into a typical story coz nowadays every story turn into a saas-bahu saga or they keep chaining the writers & all...

I don't know how beautiful of a co-incidence this could be. This serial is loosely based on a story narrated by Neelesh Misra a couple of years ago probably, when I used to follow his programme on radio. Such wonderful memories. So obviously my expectations from this serial went up. I just watched the first episode, the story has been serialised (if that's a word 😆) a bit, but I still liked the intro. The Lucknowi essence, the language, the poems and most amazing voice of Neelesh Misra. I just hope the authenticity of the dialogues continue to remain amidst all the rat race of TRPs. 😃

Yes, serialised is a word, one that is oft used too. 😆 Your last line @bold, ditto to infinity. Not just dialogue, but hope the story and characterization continue to remain authentic amidst the rat race.

Third episode too did not disappoint.

Hey nice topic. 😃 Welcome to the forum! 🤗
Yeah even I hope that the show doesn't dissapoint in the future with OTT drama. I want that decent feel to remain. 😊

The start is promising and I hope the future is too. 😃

Ahhh! KK so nice to see you get excited for this new show and making a post here.

I hope it does meet all your expectations and I also love the setting of Lucknow and their speak.

Lets keep our fingers crossed that this show will stay on track and keep us talking about it for a while.

I have liked the first two episodes and hope to see more of the same.
