Sp here's my take. I think since the launch of new show promo, the PH knew off air was high chances. That's why since then KuVan love story was rushed, Bobby Vandu MU was not dragged out. I read somewhere that makers want to give a good ending that's why.

From the beginning unfortunately this show has not been performing well. Star has been rottaing through so many shows in 9pm slot to find a good one that can consistently stay in top 5. The previous show did better TRPs than BKAK and it still went off air in 9 months. I'm surprised BKAK lasted so long - I think it's obly because Rajan has good relationship with Star. Or else high chances of Jhanak launching at 9pm.

From the time new show promo aired, 99% everyone knew BKAK was going off air. Cause no other timeslots are available. 7:30 to 9pm has good shows that are preforming well. And 9:30 to 11pm shows are also good. YHC may be getting 1.4 but it's at 11pm. BKAK is getting 1.7/1.8 at 9pm so chances are less of it performing well at 11pm. For some reason this show didn't get a lot of channel or SM popularity. I think TRP aunties are obsessed with third angles and sautans. I think BKAK would have been better as a web series. All in all, given the TRPs, 7 months was good life span. And makers are 100% planning a decent ending.

It was all over social media and then suddenly articles started pouring in and finally stated that the news was confirmed. It’s a very sad day indeed.

The show really just got good. I think KuVan was the 💎 for this serial and their chemistry should have been explored early in the show. I know that’s not typical but I think it would have worked because Sayli and Mohit are two very attractive people and are like magnets on screen. Plus, I’ve always thought Sayli slayed or did well 🔥 with romance scenes.

We were requesting more of that from writers for months.

ITV shows are honestly annoying to watch. If show does well, then channel gets greedy and ruins over time by stretching out the OG story and if show is underperforming, then off air.

That is so sad. It isn't doing so badly that it needs to be axed no? I'm sure with the current storyline the TRP can go up?

I also really wished they focused more on KuVan - the two of them are just so much fun to watch together. Sayli and Mohit act very well IMO. I know a lot of people think Sayli overacts but I didn't quite think so - it's the cringy writing at times that made her have to go overboard but her acting has always been pretty natural IMO.

After K got custody, V as a neighbor could have helped him care for T. And then after her divorce she could have focused on her career and helped out with T. K and V could have organically gotten closer and then they could have introduced a guy in V's career path who took interest in V - K's jealousy would have been a treat to watch. And they could have gone that route with K&V taking centerstage always. Prolonging the Sonia track was a waste of an idea .. - Kuldeep, Vani and Vijay track is intriguing and would have kept the audience hooked ..but somehow whatever they tried didn't work I guess!! I wish they had another chance.

Oh well! Hope we get some good KuVan scenes at least.

Yes, i think they should decide on the number of episodes apriori and also the full storyline. If the writers have to keep changing tracks to cater to TRP, the story loses its consistency and they can't retain the same character arc for the actors. In that sense I do like some Pak shows - they are short roughly 50-60 epis and have consistency ~ it's a different thing that some parts of the storytelling feels too regressive for my taste but that's true of ITV as well.

TMD could have gotten axed and BKAS could have had a slot change. If a show with 500+ episodes has same TRP as one under 150 episodes week after week, then the decision should be to cut the older show because the newer one has potential. TMD has always been safe and their TRP was low for months in 2023.

Yeah quite unfortunate! I used to watch Bepannah prior to this - That also was very nice IMO, but they decided to cut that short as well!!! Ofc, I've watched some long running ones and lost interest myself and quit like YHM ...but there is that sweet spot until which a show can run and cover all tracks around the leads and BKAS could have had at least a few more months of good storytelling ..anyway it is what it is ..and let's just enjoy it while it lasts!!!

The problem is that expectations are much higher for 9 pm timeslot. 7 pm, the stakes are not as high, even mid-1.0 is fine. For 9 pm, I think Star wants above 2.0 consistently.
