Hey.. I am very well versd in hindi. U know I scord 90% in hindi in my class 10 cbse (INDIA).
So, in hindi there is very less diff b/w ee ki maatra (sound) and aa ki maatra. Just a diff of a curve. Thats why leela became laala.. Hindi class is over.!

In 2nd Feb episode it was shown that in Dimple's marriage invitation card, Leela bhabhi's name was misspelt as Lala Thakkar instead of Leela Thakkar.
If you write Leela and Lala in Hindi, then the two words look very similar. If you write Lala in Hindi, then by adding a small curve, it can be converted into Leela.
