All the romance comes from Tagore. And then of course we have our beloved Ritu da with his queer angle 😆

Queer angle?

Rituparno Ghosh is a prolific Indian film maker, worked mostly in Bengali. I was referring to this interesting take on the story of Tagore's Chitrangada that he undertook with queer undertones.

Basically, Tagore's fictional play states Chitrangada was raised like a man though she was a woman. As per Rituparno Ghosh's film, he interpreted this as the story of a biological man who is also gay but is a woman from inside. And meeting Arjun, discovering his sexuality led him to change his sex ie Tagore's Shurupa in the text.

It's far from Mahabharata. It's just Tagore's text in a different light. 😆

Even Shalya had to change his side

Although I understood what you meant. This was just a joke

Dury also didnt have a problem with polygamy right. 😆

Fir shalya, his jeeju was no longer alive neither was his sister. His nephews weren't shakuni-close to him alright. He didnt really have a stake either way.

And problematic mamas ran in the family right. Nearly every main character suffered from a bad mama syndrome. 😆

Dury I meant was the ladki waala with her daughter married to Krishna's son, still he try to capture his samadhi

Tell me about that, my dad always teases me since I am very close to my Mamas.

Pandavas I mean Kunti Putras were lucky in this regard though

Their mama n mamaputra were their greatest support, not the same could be said about Shishupal though, if not mama hi mamaputra was the reason of his death

Their mama Vasudeva never once offered to take them in after any of the calamities in their lives. Kunti preferred to stay on in Hatsinapuri than return to the Yadavas. In fact in her conversation with Krishna, she bluntly blames Surasena and Kuntibhoj for the problems in her life.

Actually Krishna was the only mamaputr on the Pandava side. Balram wanted to fight against them despite Abhimanyu being his own blood. So did a number of other yadavas.

Balram was the mama in league of others at his time

There is a folklore that Abhimanyu was in love with Balram's daughter but Balram wanted her to marry Lakshman the son of Duryodhan. He became a typical dad separating the love birds, finally with the help of Ghatochkat they were united
