This question has been on my mind for a while now. After the Pandavas escaped from the Lakshagriha, why did they hide?

Why didn't they immediately return to Hastinapur and confront Duryodhana and Shakuni for their cruel conspiracy?

Same question I had during Bhima's poisoning in childhood too. He knew that Duryodhana did the poisoning, all the Pandavas knew too, why did they keep quiet?

If Duryodhana was punished at a young age, he could have been brought to the right path.

Bheem's poisoning: this one's quite simple. Kunti didn't want to risk being sent away by drawing attention to the living-there prince's shortcomings. She needed to be in the heat of the things.

Lakshagriha: till now they did not have Krishna's direct support. Without that, they were cunning-wise no match for Shakuni. In order to make up for Shakuni's quick shrewdness, they needed time. By hiding after the Lakshagriha incident they (actually Vidur) made Shakuni believe that 5bros are dead, and by believing this, Shakuni left Dury and Dhrity to their devices for a while and did not harm Hastinapur any further.

Also, by roaming in disguise through most of the Kuru kingdom, they found out what the people exactly thought of 5Ps and Dury&co, and by potentially manipulating with people's view of Dury&co., they actually were able to make more damages.

Unless they had met Krishna at Drau's swayanvar, I doubt they would have resurfaced even after that.

If they would have returned to HP immediately, Shakuni would have started on another plan, and this time would be wayy more careful, and there was no saying if 5Ps would survive the next plan. This way, they could cool off and also, give Dury&co. the false sense of security taaki when they did come back, they would be taken by a shock and would be able to do less damage.

Pandav were not hiding actually tunnel inside lac grah was too long means tunnel starts from yamuna tributary and end at bank of ganges it took almost 5 month to complete tunnel . So when they come out from tunnel they are already quite far from hastinapur so it was not possible for them return so soon to hastinapur

And crossing such long tunnel was tiring so they need rest too as they have not slept properly and ate properly while crossing such long tunnel

Thank you. That makes a lot of sense. 😊

That's why they say we should change according to times. There are many things in Ramayan and Mahabharat which we can't imagine to apply in this age. Those were times of extra-mahaan people. That's why Yudi told Bheem not to tell anyone about Dury.

As for hiding, Kunti was fed up of all the saazishes by Shakuni and Kaurava on her sons.

He could have helped but Krishna was also in the process of consolidating his position in Mathura/Dwarka at that time, not everybody trusted his intellect and he was still almost a stranger to the Pandavas.

Also it took a few more years for his wisdom to become famous. We saw yesterday ke episode mein only na, everybody thought he was a coward, and Kunti I believe did not know him that well to trust him despite the apparent blunder of deserting Mathura. 😳

It was 2km tunnel.tunnel was located at varnavrat at bagpat district. Varnavrat is 71 km from hastinapur ( located at Meerut district)

First pandav cross 2 km tunnel and then they cross 2km ganga to reach other side of bank of ganga by boat and from they reach dense forest and as there was no intense light in dense forest so they were finding ways in dense forest by light of star and they were tired and thirsty so they sleep in dense forest
