My suggestion to prevent STEALING & COPYING: i'm not sure whether this can be done or not.. but we can get this suggestion acrossed to vijay bro who can then try to make it possible. well, my simple suggestion is that if you see a member copying or cutting your creations, then a PM can be spent to the mod of avi & siggy section.. and then the mods can make it impossible for that copying/cutting member to visit avi & siggy section. for example, moderator section - this section can only be visited by certain members, so we can have something like that.

please leave your comments to this suggestion.

tham...: although a good idea, i doubt its feasible. consider this, there are 300,000+ forum members, how can the admin have the time to restrict and give access to so many members? they do have a life offline as well. we really cant put more work on them just to stop this.

now the issue about copying -- i already posted here before, but i'll repeat. you cannot do anything about it. its not like we haven't tried. this issue is as old as this section. its not going to go away. we started IR (individuality rocks) a group that had the purpose to stop copying (see links: disccusion in this section: https://www.indiaforums.com/forum/avatar-and-signatures-shop/401595/plz-support-n-put-an-end-to-this-c-pg-11, group formed: https://www.india-forums.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=402791&T PN=1 ) the problem with it was ...you cannot define a perfect line between what is copying and what is inspiration. the result of having judges to decide what is and what isn't is also a problem. how are you sure that the judge is correct in their judgement? no one is perfect enough to make the perfect judgement. the result of all that was ppl getting hurt and a lot of problems otherwise that caused us to close the club.

the only thing you can do to STOP copying, is to STOP cutting. thats all that you can do. seriously. we have discussed it so many times in the section, we do not have a solution that will be fair to all members and that will still keep the place as welcoming as it is now. now all you have to do to STOP cutting is to report the member to the moderator of this section. that is not a hard task, and it will seriously keep the cutting problem in check. Being an ex-dev team member of A&S, I know that when a member cuts he/she directly breaks the rules of the section, breaking rules of the section results in a warning level raise. 90% of the time the member wont repeat the mistake, cause if they do, we raise the level again. So, moderators have the rights to keep things in check. Trust in them and do YOUR PART by reporting those members (with as much proof as possible...directly report their post using the report button if required or PM) the moderators and help them keep the section as free from copying as possible.

i think you misunderstood my post
because members already have access
to this section and i can also be blamed
for your misunderstanding because my
exmaple wasn't a very good one!!😉

you made a good point about the mods
having to make decisions about copying.
i think khusi and (..) are good at making
decisions and ofcourse that's the reason
why they're moderators!!😉 i think certain
rule can be made about how to complain. for
example, the complaining member should
show proof to support there complaint - their
original signature & the ...!!😃

i think this is the only way to atleast reduce
cutting/copying @ india-forums!!

note to the moderators: please.. open a thread
telling people to add from whom they got the
inspiration from if they did because many people
are unaware of these things. i'm sorry if there is
a topic already posted about this, but i haven't
ready any post regardinf this issue so far!!😉

eventhough they don't look similar you can
identify some same elements - flowers & text
(in the earlier avi's i had my creation name just
like khushi's).. in this case - credit should be
given to khusi dear.😉

but khusi herself don't think there are any
similarities - here goes another issue!!😆
