The major trend is websites...😛 Nowadays where ever I go, people are making websites for their creations which is all nice and all, but now, like the entire forum is making...you know why i cant contribute too much to this didiii, i'd be a hippocrite na..if i say something?

What are your opinions on the trend of everyone making websites? I think that orginally, people who made them were ones who were totallllyyy awesome and very good sig makers...its like wowww a site, amazing! they totally made a statement with their work. But some people i feel they just make a site, i dunno...to sorta feel popular? To show that they just dont have a gallery...but a SITE! Is it a good thing? I think its good depending on what intentions you have. I think some people do make it for popularity. But on a lighter note, if i were to have one it would be to improve my work, and meet new people. There are so many sig makers that are not Ifian. I think a site would help you meet these people. Is it just to stir up compettion or is it because they feel their work should go out to the entire world? Like said, it really depends. One may feel that they are prepared to have one, while others do it to show-off? Seriously, it might have been a friend's begging to have one. They may want to take on the challenge of having one, a site is maybe the next level...so you are hungry to improve day by day.
• Is building a website a creation satsification ( I know, i am using rajeev's words, an overdoose of him u see😉) or is it just another popularity stunt, that if one has it, I should have it as well😛

Please remember not to pinpoint fingers at ANYONE😛 and please don't take it personally, it is just a trend I noticed😛😳

Websites will continue, i dunno what else to say, but it clearly depends on the intentions of a person. In my opinion, a reason i would have a site is because i love challenges. I love learning. That would make me strive for improvement. I love meeting other designers as well, so thats another reason. That would be my intention-truthfully. 😊 I dunno what other people had in mind when they make one, it may be for the same intentions as me or for popularity.

Sweta, yes...free domains like freeweb sites can be googled and found. 😊

and yeaaa, i've seen people who request a siggy and either use it for a few hours or never use it! It really gets on my nerves cause i know siggy-makers have put a lot of efforts into making that siggy. Whats the point of even doing it when they just throw it away? I think a lot of siggy makers would be happier if we had a standard for using siggys. I dont mean like using them for weeks and weeks, but atleast a few days would be nice as it takes a lot of time to make them. and i;m sure no siggy maker just rounds up something quick-i'm sure many put their heart into it, and do their best with high hopes of the requester liking it 😛

^ Hmmm Momo, you've made a good point there, that has also sometimes happened to me, but later on they use it again! 😛 So i think it happens that sometimes they want to use it and then use it again later on.. cos of any kind of reason, they want other sigs in their box, etc...

For me, when i make a request for someone i don't expect them to use it immediately, in fact i don't even expect them to use it for even sometime.. it's something I made for them, and even i spent a lot of time on it, I think in the end it's their choice.. although feels really nice when it is used! 😳

Another thing also what I wonder about is how do people start off with what they do? Everyone has their own style of how they make sigs.. and it's just so interesting how with the same pictures, you can get two completely and totally different sigs. What made you make sigs the way they are? 😳

Good point Ammu, it depends on what style u want to use.. I usually end up just blending the pictures togather and then later turns into something else. 😛

One thing I can never do is re-make the same style I have made which I think is good and bad 😛

Ahhh, Ammu! 😃 Just like Jenny, i first think of my layout 😃 this is usually blending and placing things in order. aftre this i usually merge the blend and i have a base. Then i do whatever it needs to look better-these things usually consist of any softness or blur, sharpening needing to be done. then i do coloring, work with the images, then lastly i i add on brushes and the text 😳 i think you just do whatever looks good to the eye. i think many people start simple and add on 😃

Eggjactly Jenny, i can't ever re-make a sig that i've already done.. because 99% of what it is, is purely experimenting.. i usually don't have an idea of what i want it to turn out like, sometimes i do and it usually never turns out that way 😆 😳

I usually start the same way too, make my pictures look clear and nice and whatnot effects, then blend them together, do some colours and lightening and all that, then brushes and text, and anything else.. and voila! 😛

Hehe, I start the same way too..first I look at the pics and see what I'm gonna do w/ them..I start w/ the layout..and then edit the pics up a bit..add the border..add some brushes and stuff..then text..and its done! sounds simple huh? 😆

I think..now on I should start taking like 5 reqeusts whenever! That way I don't have to think about all the sigs I have to make and stuff after a Friday..and I can spend more time on each sig and experiment a little more! 😛 I'll actually think about this idea! 😆

Ammu, I really liked your question about diff styles w/ same pics. Not sure if you meant two diff styles by same siggy maker or same pics and stuff but diff styles w/ two siggy makers? Idk..but it is amazing! Yesterday when I came up w/ the "new style"( 😆 ), I wasn't really planning on doing anything new..its just the Saakshi pics were really nice that I felt like experimenting..I saw a couple brushes, felt like addint them. Then just went on from there..and in the end--Viola! It's something completely diff from what I usually make!

as for me , i also same as sweta , i look at the pics n its the pics which will determine the style i gonna use, for example i got a miley request n i didnt know how to make it as the pics were diferent from each other , so i used the main one which had a white background big n use the other picby making them smaller n rotating them so that when i wil use a colour , it wil match the main pic n also i added a border wiz the small ones which wud make the whole sig matching 😛 and after putting the pics , i put the brushes n text 😳

but there is a prob here , this style cant be done wiz all pics n each style is gud for some particular pics but some times the siggy requesters giv examples n ask u to make it like zis one , do u think it wil turn out as gud as the example they have given if the pics r not the same way as the pics on the example ??? 😕

Seeta, I looked through soo many pages of your shop..couldn't find it. 😆 I didn't understand what you exactly meant so do you mind pming me that sig? i wanna see. 😛 its late that i'm not thinking..hehe..if you dont want to, its okay..I'm sure i'll live. 😆

@The second paragraph..I don't get why requesters do that..I mean if they really want to request..they'd trust the siggy maker and will hope that what they make turns out good..I made a sig today and the person asked me to make it like a specific sig..well, if it didn't have to look like that particular sig, then I think I would've ended up w/ something wayyy better! But they wanted it in the same style..so, it didn't work. Now, I don't think I should be at fault over here..and neither is it the requester's fault..but I think siggy maker's should be given the freedom to do w/e they want w/ the pics. 😳
