i use photoshop...but i dun think it matters in the way i se them.

i do the siggy or picture in one layer.
then you make a second layer and fill it with w/e color, gradient, texture, etc...
then use the eraser tool and click on ur mask brush...then use it wherever you want it to be...then ur layer under will show...in the shape of your mask brush.
