I do use hd quality videos mostly either 720p or 1080p and I use screencap because I'm unable to import the video but even after I use psds and try to make it clear it always turn out to be grainy 😕

it's a common problem. There's no way to be 100% grain free gif but try a few things along with using HQ videos

-use minimum coloring. More coloring mean PS setting will recognize color which will make the outcome look horrible. There's the reason why black and white gif are always so good.

-dont make too big gif in size. Keep it under 2mb and in case it goes bigger delete every third frame.

-saving gif setting always pattern. Diffusion again increase grain.

Also I think topaz also reduces grain though it slows down your PC.

Btw why you can't import video? You Downloaded QuickTime?

@avenger and annihilation: Thank you so much, will definitely try all those you guys said, and yes I've downloaded QuickTime but my Photoshop still shows the error stating that I haven't downloaded it yet

It looks great! Btw for your question that's a sharpening action which makes the gif look so soft, check PSD thread and there's one posted by Nabila(18shabbo).

Anyone here can tell me about VMs? I downloaded Vegas pro 13 since windows movie maker is unavailable😡and I guess my decade old 3GB don't support it so trying to get 11 which needs max 2GB, I think? I wanted to know how fading to black/ to another scene effects, coloring are done? Maybe I am jumping into moon first but ah well . . .😆 a newbie tut would be great.
