Edit:
Thanks husna for the link you provided in your thread😛
@husna @naz @zaaratq @Abhisheking you guys had some pretty intense discussion over gif-ing and thanks for much needed information...I will try to implement them when i does doing some gifs and will tell you the results...😛Indeed it is best to use our own psds in gifs and it will be better if the coloring is so less...

1) No, what I mean is, if the option called 'timeline' in the Windows bar is not checked, you can't begin making gifs. Whether you do it by importing a video or whether you do it by importing pictures, the timeline option first has to be activated. Now, to use frame animation (gifs through frames) or video timeline (gifs through video) is your choice.

2) 'Convert to timeline' option which should be available in the options bar of the timeline (for most people, it is stripped out) is required if you want to use topaz or sharpen/filters.

Yes, for those who don't have the convert to time line (unfortunate one's like you and me 😆), the only way to use topaz or shapen the gifs is doing it manually in each layer. However, actions can be prove to be a boon. You need to do little hard work once and you set for later. Whenever you're making gifs next, use the actions option. Record your action of performing (topaz or sharpen) on each frame+layer and save it. Next time you do it again, you can just play the action and ta-da, its done!

PS : The PS version Naz uploaded HAS the convert to timeline option. So, those who want it or those who are sick of their current PS can try downloading hers instead.

actually i just found a sharpen action which said it works without the timeline option. it does work, but my gif started playing backwards so wierd ~_~
i guess i need to try this out! this method sounds great! but like if i make an action which sharpens a gif with say 12 layers. Later if i make a gif with 18 layers and use the action, it'll sharpen only the first 12 layers right?

That's because those actions include reversing the frames which is why your gif starts to play backwards once done. I have tried almost every method and all possible actions, did quite some digging about gif-ing, you see. 😆

I suggest you make your own action. You'll have to work a little more and be patient with it. Make an action for the maximum numbers of frames you make when gif-ing. Say, you don't exceed your gif frame limit more than 120. Then, make an action which works till 120 frames. That way your action is more feasible, whether you work with 12, 18, 50 or 100 frames, it'll work unless it doesn't go beyond the maximum limit of your said action.

TOPAZ ACTION (FOR GIFS) :
(Works best for those who do not have 'convert to timeline' option in their version of Photoshop)

So, I did a lot of brainstorming learning about making gifs in Photoshop and encountered a lot of issues which eventually lead me to a solution which I'd like to share with everyone. Apparently, some versions of Photoshop do not have the 'convert to timeline' option which is required to use filters, such as topaz or sharpen. That leaves you with no option but to apply topaz or sharpen on each and every frame and layer. Too much work, right? Actions are your saviour. I found some really good actions shared by some generous people on their tumblr blogs. As much of a boon they're, they didn't work for me well for some reason. I had to then make myself my own action and here I am.
Download : https://www.mediafire.com/?2420pfid9e1073x
*IMPORTANT :
- This action works upto 120 frames.
- Will only work if you have Topaz installed in your Photoshop.
- DO NOT delete your frames or layers until you have used the action. The action selects frames and layers and they are required to be in order. For example, it selects frame 1 + layer 1 and performs topaz on it. So, deleting any frames or layers before using the action means the action will not work properly.
- This action will not reverse your frames and you won't have to set it in order again or do any extra work for that matter. Just remember to not delete anything before using the action. Once you have, you can crop it, resize it, apply PSD's or textures or anything you want.
- This is just a topaz action, does not contain any PSD or coloring action. The PSD you can see above on the second gif is my own.
- Please do not re-post or claim as your own. Credit is not mandatory but will be highly appreciated if given.

^^ Indeed. It takes a lot of hard work to come up with solutions and gets even more harder to be able to share it. But hadn't it been for scores of people out there sharing their own knowledge, hard work and resources, I wouldn't know a thing about PS. Your knowledge is of no use if others can't benefit from it, learn, teach and share. <3
