is your cs5 a portable one? if so you can save it anywhere like a usb or something and you do not have to save it on the C drive. That's how mine works. My cs6 is not on my C drive, only my cs5

you can still sharpen your gifs, you just have to do it one frame at a time which can get annoying

But as pizzaholic said, choose the one that has a time line (if you have that) and then just install that. You should not need another. And even if one frame at a time is hard, you can use actions but not all actions work without a timeline.

You can use Actions on Gifs.

Convert them to video timeline > smart filters > use action :)
