How to make Double Exposure effect aka something like this

I admit, this tut is nothing diff. You can find double exposure tuts everywhere on the net. But I am still posting it . . . erm, cause I am vella? Also this is a supercool way of making edits, very amazing and nothing too hi-fi. You can do it in 10 minutes though the end result looks like it takes a lot of time. Youtube video will eats loadsa MB, save them for something productive *chatting, FF*😛

So this is initial pic

The final product will be upar wala edit.

Step-1

Open the first pic (download karlo or search for models pic on google make sure it has one single color as BG). The first thing you will do is duplicate it and click on the eye button of background layer. So basically you will be working on duplicate image, in case any mistake happens you can start all over again by deleting it and bringing back original pic. Ok? Ok.

Step-2

Ab erase karna start karo. Benfit of a single color BG is reoving it is super easy. Try Quick selection tool and masking.

Or you can do manually with a small brush. But always work on a layer mask cause mistake will happen and you don't want to start all over again. Click on layer mask, your foregound brush should be white and then start erasing. if you want to bring back an erased part foreground should be black, run over the parts and you can see them coming back.

Now it will look like this

Step 3.

Click on Black and White tool in adjustments. Now why black and white and not Gradient? I personally love gradient, but it doesn't have one thing which we can do with BW tool.

Play around with colors( red blue etc) you can see how your picture starts lightening or darkening.

Step 4

Now copy-paste this pic.

You can see it's a giant image compared to our tiny model so resize it (Ctrl+T) and place it accordingly. In my final image I have placed it such a way that the figure is in mid. You can do either that or keep only the forest in there.

Now lighten it and erase the bits that are coming on face. Your edit is almost ready.

Step 5

Another black and white adjustment over the forest, right click>clipping mask. Now Go crazy, level-another gradient-brightness/contrast. When you are done save it. In my final step I did this.

Voila. Told you super easy and takes less time. Bas dikhta tough hai.😎

These are extra styling I did.

BTW if anyone wondering how the eye color looks a bit blue then New layer on top of everything, pick a brush foreground color should be bluish, then put two dots over model's eyes, then change layer blending. This above one is lighten I think?
