I have some very general questions.

How do all the creative people here fit in time to practise their skills. Do you put aside certain days and times or just randomly do something when it pleases you? I would like to improve my skills but I am short on time usually (I get very busy) and so wanted to ask what various methods people had to see if I could adopt one.

Secondly, does anyone make their own font or do you just download them all the time. Same for brushes and textures. I would like to create my own so was wondering how people who made their own custom brushes/texts/textures etc did so.

Also could someone define what a psd is? I know it is the filename that gets saved but is it just a photomanipulation that someone does. I have seen a few and was wondering why they were called psd. sounds quite silly but I am quite new to this.

Going to buy a new laptop as my present one crashed.

I have few doubts. Can someone clear it please.

1. Does CS6 works in Intel core processors. Or which is best CPU for photoshopCS6 ?

2. Which is the best operating system for Photoshop. Will CS6 work in Windows 8.1 ?

I am using Intel core i5 and I use Cs6

and Of course PS will work in Windows 8.1
