I dont comment here very often, but I just had to say I absolutely adore your work! But today, wont talk too much about it. I read what you wrote, and I know it's what every pakistani feels about the match! And you know what? When Afridi said I'm sorry in the Post-match presentation, I just blurted out loud - Dont be! Pakistan is a team that was not at all fancied, so many things have gone through with you guys and I know it isnt easy to come back from such a difficult and challenging situation.

But that's what a champion team does! They come back when no one expects them to! That's what a champion captain does - He leads and unites a team no one expected to see! So for that, he has nothing - absolutely nothing to be sorry about! I am a completely patriotic Indian, but trust me when I say this - if it hadn't been for India - I would support Pak all the way! Only because of the sheer courage this team has shown! Truly Afridi has found a new fan in me - and trust me - there are thousands of people like me!

So... Congrats to the Pak team, and you guys! It has been a performance that exceeded all expectations, and you guys have all the reasons to be very very proud of it! Because if I was a Pakistani - I'd be damn proud! Hopefully there would be no future trouble, and this team would go down to being it's normal devastating best! (: India needs some good competition in the top! 😆

Jokes apart, I hope Pak cric picks up from here. There's a lot of talent, and hopefully Afridi will bring this team to greater heights! Sorry for the essay😆 - I just had to write this. As much as every Indian is proud of their team; and as much as I just love my team - I dont have any hatred for Pak Cricket whatsoever! I think many Indians feel the same! I actually like your cricket team.

The siggies are BEYOND AMAZING. 😲 I love your style. And then on top of that its on the Pak Team....PERFECTION!!! 😛

I also loved what you wrote. I was also very thankful that Pakistan actually accepted the defeat and welcomed our heroes despite the loss and even appreciated their success. 😛

I was heartbroken when I saw this picture of me hero. 😭

And you know he apologized to Pakistan for the loss but I felt that it wasnt necessary. There was no need to apologize because with him, a #6 ranking team beat other teams that ranked better than them. Afridi is still the lead wicket taker (21). They broke Australia's 32+ world cup winning streak. Afridi united the team and gave us all hope... after all the fights and conspiracies he got us THAT far. For the first time in Mohali the Pakistani flag was raised and the Pakistani national anthem was sung. A lot of people dont know that he was appointed captain of the team only 2 weeks before the world cup tournament whereas the other teams have had the same consistent captain more 5+ years. I'm rambling but its only because I get so emotional over this and I expect people to appreciate the team just as they would have if we won.

He's such an amazing human being. After the match he goes to the Indian team and congratulates them all. During the post game interview, he thanks EVERYONE (God, family, PCB, teammates, fans) for how far they got. He thanked everyone but himself for the success. His humility left me in awe. My respect for him DOUBLED TRIPLED. QUADRUPLED. I was no longer mad at them losing because of HIM and his nature.

Afridi has shown that grace.

okay! em kinda teary ryrtnow after reading ur commnts n the siggies... em really speechless rytnow all i can say is that.. afridi couldn't win the world cup but for 30 days he30 days he made this country into a nation.

I've exhaused myself praising our team continuously. lol. So I won't say much.. but it's amazing how we feel proud of the team even after a defeat. How the players can make us proud even after a defeat. Its amazing really. Afridi has won my heart. I've never neem a fan of him but after his heart-felt and such a dignified speech and efforts, he has won over me completely. I don't think he even realizes what his gestures have done to the nation, Pakistani and Pakistani cricket. You're our pride man!!!

the article said EVERYTHING a literate pakistani, who loves their team like me and you wdve said, WELL DONE MAHEEN the article is FANTASTIC! it stole words from my mouth! i didnt feel sad or had a single tear in my eye wen we lost to the arch rivals, but i DID have tears in my eyes when my Captain apologized, said sorry for something he wasnt responsible, i have NEVER seen a captain as modest and perfect as Afridi, and no matter what i will NEVER be able to hate/dislike him for ANY reason in this world./... Hes Lost a semi, but hes won a HUGE place in the hearts of nOT just his nation, Pakistan but in the hearts of many in India, Eng, Aus, USA... all over the world! WE SALUTE YOU AFRIDI! :)

Now, the update is super fantastic, LOVE it!

Wahab, the whole team, Captain Afridi, everything is awesome!
