ummm you can try

increasing the canvas size of ur pic (make sure u increase canvas size not the image size

make new layer

fill with ur desired border color

move new layer below pic layer

while pic layer is selected press cntrl+e and click the layer (to merge down)

you can try making a new layer and fill it with the color you want your background to be. and then delete it from the center by using rectangular marquee tool

u shoukd see a border arround 😃 flatten the layers.

yes u can do that with the transparent images too

but there is an other problem

it's not working in a transparent image

what i want do is to as borders to an animation which i made in imageready. when i increase canvas size on the last layer of animation it increases but not as the colour i wanted but as tranparent background😕

before making any frames in image reeady first increase ur canvas size save ur image open it in photoshop as well now fill ur desired border color open ur minimized image ready it will automatically update and now u have a colored border and now u can make more animation frames

my animation is already made and i just open this in photoshop to add some effects and add borders.

u know the mayur pic in my siggybox, i want such a border in my animation. in psp i do so 1st black border, then white and then black but i am unable to do is in PS.

do u know how to such a border is ps?
