I recall in one of the interviews Sinha saying the following

"It will not only have Simran's daughter Aastha and Abhimnayu's daughter Gudiya as young ladies, but giving them company will be Dr Manas's son Sonu! "Though Dr Manas is currently in the US, on the show, he will be shown returning soon."

So I think baby Astha will be found.. but in the mean time they will show Simran slowly bonding with Gudiya.. and bridge the gap between abhi and simran slowly ..

This drama is far better then others where they will show Astha 18 years on searching for her real parents.. the drama has a real take on it..

i think simran wil become a very protective mother of gudiya
