Abhi is apprehensive about Simran taking the help of Yash – a young kid – feels he could be a little immature and irresponsible. Simran tries to allay all his fears by saying that it is not written on a person's face whether or not they are capable of coping with their responsibilities or not. She will be going and coming by car and so Abhi should not worry about her getting into trouble and Yash will be accompanying her and will look after her. Abhi still feels that it is not a good idea. Sia too feels that Abhi will be too tense whilst she is away at the hospital and since Abhi is ready to accompany her himself she should let him go with her instead of a total stranger. Simran tells Sia that if Abhi will accompany her, he will not write his book or the column in Bhavani's newspaper. This is what makes her very unhappy. She tells Sia that she knows that Abhi loves her and will willingly accompany her everywhere – he will never complain and happily stop doing his own stuff and just be by her side – she cannot be selfish and expect so much from Abhi. Simran feels that Abhi may be a bit upset with her but Abhi reassures her that he has no problem with her decision and appreciates her concern for him and tells her that since his writing makes her happy – he will start writing immediately!
Kiran is quite surprised that Yash could be working with Simran. Yash feels confident of getting the job and prays that her family does not influence her otherwise. He feels that he has come at the right time when Simran is in need of a "walking stick" and he will be that "walking stick" and will make her depend on him and which is one power he is going to misuse totally. Kiran fears that in time maybe Simran will influence Yash just as she has done so with Abhi in the past and Yash will be totally in awe of her and lose his goal of making Simran suffer!
Simran calls Yash to tell him that she would like to employ him to accompany her and asks him to start the very next day. Yash is ecstatic.
The following day, Simran is getting ready to go to the hospital and Abhi helps her with her jewellery. Simran tells him to keep writing and wants him to complete atleast one chapter whilst she is away else she will punish him!! Abhi jokingly tells her that he will accept her punishment as another award! Yash comes to take Simran to the hospital and brings a bouquet of yellow roses. Simran asks him how did he know her preference. Yash replies that he did not know of it just that when he was on his way to her house he saw the flowers and he bought a bunch for her. He asks whether he could take a picture of Simran holding the flowers. Simran is quite surprised but quite flattered too and Yash takes a photo. Abhi tells Yash to look after Simran and Shaguna gives Simran some yoghurt before she leaves. Sia asks Simran to drop her to her shooting on her way to the hospital.
At the shooting, Sia apologizes to Gaurav for being late and tries to tell him that she is quite excited about her mother going back to work but Gaurav is not interested and asks whether in all of this she got time to re-write the two scenes as he had asked her to do. Sia says that she did. Gaurav goes away.
At the hospital, everyone is surprised and very happy to see Simran and excited when she tells them that she will be coming to the hospital everyday like before. Urmila takes Simran to her cabin and gets her to sit on her chair. Simran is elated at the warm welcome at the hospital and introduces Yash to Urmila. Simran excitedly explains to Urmila how Yash is responsible for her taking this step of getting back to the hospital and that in just a few days she has taken to Yash and he does not feel like a stranger. Urmila tells Simran that Saakshi is in the OT and till then maybe she would like to go on her rounds. Simran is excited about going on the rounds and asks Yash to remain in her cabin till she gets back. Whilst Simran is away, Yash starts taking pictures of the room and all her files and books when Sid comes there and is angry to see Yash taking photos and gets into an argument with Yash. Just then Urmila and Simran return and Simran introduces Yash to Sid. Yash explains that he was clicking photos as he wanted to send the photos of his first day at work to his friend overseas. Yash asks Simran whether he can go around and see the hospital. When Yash goes away, Sid tells Simran that he is extremely happy to have her back at the hospital. Simran too says that being at the hospital makes her feel good too and her blindness is eating at her less!
Later, with Simran away Abhi is unable to concentrate on his writing and wonders how Simran would be coping at the hospital and whether Yash is able to take good care of her. Shaguna tries to calm his nerves and tells him to be tense and if there is any problem, her Ganpati Bapa will take care of it.
Yash is roaming around the hospital taking pictures. He is quite impressed at the hospital and realises that Simran has done very well for herself over the years. He feels that she has deprived him and Kiran of Abhi's presence in their life and his mother has had to suffer over the years due to her. Just then Saakshi comes out of the OT and Yash clicks her picture. Saakshi is surprised and Yash tries to flatter her by telling her that she has a very beautiful face. Saakshi tells him that he is not in a picnic spot or a garden but a hospital. She immediately grabs the camera from Yash's hand and removes the film roll. Yash tries to say something but Saakshi tells him to shut up and goes away.
