How about if Nakul really misses his wife, loves her and is a nice guy? Would Sakshi still help Simran out during her hour of need? In that case, how would we justify Sakshi's decision of helping out because her dream was to work in India? Tougher call then huh? :)
Anyway, just felt that what we feel is pre-determined by the directors by the way they portray the extremes in these characters!

You hit the nail in the head. I think Sakshi agreeing to work with Simran and parting with nakul are two entirely different issues. taking up a job is kind of a route to 'escape' as i see it. It's got little to do with Saakshi wanting to help Simran out. Any other similar option wud have done.

Nakul is irritating and dominating, agreed. However, in a marriage, seldom scales are balanced on a 50 50 scales. As those of us married wud know, almost all of us are ready to give up more than we actually should to make a marriage work. In fact, i can gurantee that sometimes issues which we rebel against before marriage become kind of acceptable after marriage if we end up facing them. Whether we should or not is a different issue.

I would say here, rather than helping Simran out, Sakshi is kind of using tis opportunity to make a statement to her husband.

Right or wrong, well again, it's a personal perspective.

Great post Irao!!👏

I don't know what the right answer is.....I saw this episode today, and on the one hand that guy was quite a vile person cos he couldn't even understand his wife staying behind to deliver a baby for a couple who had no other choice...on the other hand he also stopped when he mentioned/asked her "why did she marry him" - it was as if it was a sore point with her more than him, and he was sympathising....he made it easy for her when he gave her an ultimatum and the way he did it....more to the point i think it made it easier for the director to get us on saakshi's side and advance the story that way... I think I am inclined to agree with scorpi..."for better or worst" but couples should do the utmost to stay together...what i saw today, i was not convinced that couple should have separated, even for the luvly dr.simran....

I hated the way this guy talked abt India, and it was really nice the way saakshi wanted to stay in India....but that isn't a reason to leave your husband....there are people USA that need help from doctors as well....it seemed that their marriage was in trouble already and i suppose as there are no kids involved then at least its not as bad parting without kids as it is parting with kids.....

just my tuppence...at the end of the day this is only a story....

have to add, I saw saakshi's acting today and she did a wonderful job....I wonder if mr.sinha wants to give her the lead instead of dr.simran, as niki aneja walia has already announced she wants to take time off from work and moce back to UK...for sure, this new actress could carry the serial well....not as well as the luvly dr. simran, but she would do a good job....👏

Well said. As was said here by you and a few others their marriage was already in trouble and this was an opportunity for her to walk out of the marriage - and in her mind for a good cause.. I guess we will know about about the Inside story as we continue to see the serial. If Nakul is really that vile, I don't know, frankly my symapthies are not with him then, but if he truly loves Saakshi and is good at heart, I think she will ultimately unite with him. I am not for divorce/separation and I believe that marriage is for life but I also think it all depends on the situation and circumstances. I would never say that if a man (or woman) were a sadist and all they do is torture their partner... (Not saying that Nakul was one) I have had 2-3 friends who have divorced and I can definitely say that something was seriously wrong which compelled them to take that step.. So it is usally the last resort for many - though we have to wait and see what happens in this serial and what really was the case here.
