I need to understand something and maybe you all can help me but "why would Sia changing her name seem so normal". I just don't understand this show sometimes how that is so accepted. I think in a way it is a sick thing to do change a daughters name to the the one that has passed away. It happened twice in this show when gudiya was little she was named "neha" but changed her named to Aasta when little Aasta was kidnapped and now Sia changing her name. This is really sick and I am not understand.....so somebody explain to me.

Thanks.

Most of us are at a loss to understand the directors logic... the good news is that you are not alone... 😛

I wonder where Sinha gets such ideas from?

All I can say is that these things may not be normal in ourday today life but it's methodical in Simran's family, Sia's selfless nature and Sinha's imagination.

Thank you for responding because now I feel better..I guess the director is sort of crazy(and sick) ........just like when he had Sia having this attraction for Abhi which to me is a disgusting thing to bring into the show. We don't even have such story lines in the U.S. ......sort of a taboo!

Director is not having morals & the value for relatioships. This is utterly unacceptable. He is greedy to make money and forgetting the harm he is causing to viewers. He and Zee TV should be banned for telecasting such serials.

Oh gosh...I still remember the uncomfortable feeling I felt when watching Astiva with my parents, during the time Sia was lovestruck over Abhi. Even in english soaps, like Bold and Beautiful, they have not gone so far to introduce a father-daughter love storyline. I hate this borderline incest drama.

It might be possible that in between all these tragedies Sinha wanted to add little comedy,so changing the name has occured 😆 😆 😆

If you observed, even Simran calls her 'Sia', and is reminded by her that she changed her name to 'Astha'. The expression on Abhi's face is priceless!

In fact, so far, nobody has addressed her as 'Astha' yet.
Simran never called Neha's daughter as 'Gudiya' if I remeber right. She was always 'Asthu' to her.

I think name and language are the means of addressing and communication. Changing the name will not replace the person.

Sia is the worst comic character I can ever imagine. 😃
