Only Rajeshwari's related part:
These women have donned festive saris, applied henna on their hands and kept fasts for their reel-life husbands in Hindi soaps. But nothing can beat the special feeling, when it comes to keeping a Karva Chauth for their reallife hubbies. Yesterday was the day when women all across Mumbai dressed in their finest and observed a day-long fast for their husbands' good health.
Another lovely lady who celebrated her first Karva Chauth, and was mighty kicked about it, was Rajeshwari Sachdev Badola. "My mother never kept it and neither do they have the tradition in my inlaws' house. But since I really wanted to observe the fast, my mother-in-law told me to go ahead with it," she says. Rajeshwari has been fascinated with the idea of keeping this fast ever since her childhood. "I used to see women in my neighbourhood dressing up like brides and doing the puja. Once I pestered my mother to keep the fast to make me happy, but that was the first and the last time she kept it," she laughs. Rajeshwari wore her bridal outfit for the occasion and thoroughly enjoyed the day. "I think it's very romantic. People can say what they want to, but if I want to show my love for my husband this way, then why not?" she adds.
