Arthdal Chronicles ending is so annoying. If they are going for a season 2, Im not in for it. Wish they wrapped it here itself as it is a very complex plot & carrying it further is economically a bad idea.
Its a pre-historic mystic setup on prophecies not a gritty war-time politics, I see no reason for a saga.
I have to disagree. The writer duo who penned this show have written sageuks that have all been 20-50 episodes. They have never written shows that have ended at the 16/18 episode mark. I will say the way they've marketed the show is potentially disastrous as Korean shows never work on a season basis - they always air their shows in sequence from start to finish. But this show was always pitched to be 3 seasons, 18 episodes each - which Netflix actually agreed too and signed for. The issue right now is the cable ratings - which is still banking on a high chance of renewal.
And again I have to disagree - it may have a fantasy pre-historic setup, but it's definitely motivated by war-time politics. The fact that in the last episode Tanya refers to the people of Arthdal as subjects only proves this show is trying to depict how politics were established as a hierarchy and were carried forward. All of the motives are political, all of the characters are driven by politics even if they don't themselves think so. It's obvious to me at least because I've watched previous shows by the writers. The fantasy is a foundation, but the politics is what builds the show. There a few pitfalls to this show, but I don't think this is one of them. The way they've chosen to market it (which is no fault of their own and is truly a Netflix thing) is an issue though.
I watched a mini drama - You drive me crazy. 4 episodes only.
It was fun and leads had amazing chemistry

If they were in for 3 seasons of 18 epis each, they should have promoted it from the start instead of fragmenting each season into three more parts..Just like u said, its marketed wrong..Exactly how would a viewer like me who have no clue about this know about whats internally happening in the production with no confirmed news or a promo. I would obviously be disappointed. And yes if there is a s2, Its my choice to skip it/watch it.
Everybody has a different perspective, different way of watching it..I really like yours 👍🏼 but I dont have to agree to it..😊
Dropped the way we love..
The lies within is going good..
Absolutely loving 'Be Melodramatic', this is so underrated, thanx Poo I wouldn't have spotted it, if you haven't reco'd..The first half of the first epi seemed slow but once you are introduced to the characters, you are completely engrossed..Its a mix of comedy & serious moments..The emotions are worth watching..👍🏼
I am done watching Goblin! DONE DONE DONE!!!
IT WAS PERFECT!!! ❤️ AHHHH I LOVE ALL OF THESE CHARACTERS!!! From Sun-He to all of the CEOs of the company 🥳
I loved the scene where FL got her memories back! That desperation felt so effing real 💔
SAD LOVE INDEED!
Sam will be so proud 🤣
Why is nobody there when I have to gush about something!
Goblin is one of my all time favorites. So, I can totally relate to you here.😆
Tris goblin is my fav also...it was one of first five dramas I saw😆
I watched a mini drama - You drive me crazy. 4 episodes only.

It’s confirmed on the official IG page for the show. And yeah obviously I’m not pushing you to watch it LOL it’s your prerogative. It would be crazy to expect someone to agree with or do everything you’re saying 😆. That’s why the forum works, everyone has different opinions and you don’t have to agree with them. You shared your opinion and I shared mine that’s all 😊
Half way through Doctor John, loving it. Jo sung is Love ❤️
I just sometimes feel that romance in the show is a bit forced, the FL is riding on Ji Sung, he has chemistry literally with everyone in every show.
It's nice how there are dealing with Euthanasia. It's a taboo still in India, with only Passive euthanasia being legal here.
@vena.cava, such a nice username😆, are you a medico or someone into medicine?
Feel free to discuss any serial/movie that you are watching! New year, new thread✌🏼
