Oh my god I was thinking about the same dialogues 🤣 Especially the episode 4 one, where Mr. Lee had a comeback with "No, I like the reflection of my face on the glass." 🤣Originally posted by: incandescent
EP 1:YJ:Isn't it dazzling?MS: What?YJ:My aura. 🤣EP 2:I am far too good to be given to any woman.😆EP 3:In moments like these, the man is supposed to take care of the woman.YJ: Who cares about gender roles when it's this cold out? 🤣EP 4:YJ: Have I ever told you that you were pretty? MS: What?...No.YJ: Well, of course not because I've never felt you were pretty.MS: Your expression just now looked a little bit cute.YJ:I am not cute. I am fatally attractive. 🤣🤣YS: Do you like the whiskey I chose?YJ: No, I like the reflection of my face on the glass. From now on, I am going to be madly in love. With you. ❤️
I don't know what to say about this drama. Although it was simple and clich, I was still enjoying it but it went downhill after 12 episodes. The chemistry and the romance both fell flat. All the scenes between YJ and MS were unnecessarily long and the dialogues were boring. YJ's narcissism was funny at the beginning but then it just got repetitive. MS seemed like a refreshing character at first, but hardly showed any sort of depth. I ended up liking the other two girls more. I think the childhood counterparts of YJ and MS were much more interesting and had more depth in their interactions.
After one point I was more interested in the side couples then the leads, who did really well with whatever little screen time that was given to them. Ji Ah - Gwi Nam and Se Ra - Secretary Yang were a lot more fun to watch. I wanted to see more of their love stories but there just wasn't enough of them in the show.
YJ was a good boyfriend and even a good boss but he came across as such a bad friend. The much hyped bromance was one sided and I couldn't see one reason why YS would remain friends with him throughout the years.
The supporting cast was great but totally underutilized.
Poor Lee Tae Hwan. I'd be so mad if I were him. He was the second lead of the show but his character was reduced to nothing. He was just there as a prop.
In the end I only watched for the side couples and didn't care for the leads at all. Absolutely nothing about them excited me. Not the kissing, lnot the love making scene, engagement or even wedding. What a letdown. I didn't even enjoy PSJ or PMY's acting much. The other actors did better.
I can't say that I totally hate it. It started off well, but fizzled out in the end.
