Hello All! so weekends are usually when I like to watch a movie off my long list of korean movies to watch and I thought I'd post one today! - just watched it this past weekend and thought it may be helpful for people who are looking for new movies...
Love 911 (aka. Bandage)
Actors:
Han Hyo Joo (of Brilliant Legacy, Dong Yi) and
Go Soo (of Empire of Gold, Will it Snow for Christmas?)
So I will admit, I went into this movie mainly for Han Hyo Joo and Go Soo😳...being huge fans of both, I knew I wouldn't be disappointed in the acting, even if the direction failed me. Thankfully, I was happy with both.
The story isn't incredibly deep but makes for a light hearted movie with some moving moments. You have Kang-il, a firefighter who harbours deep resentment in the world after a tragic event and he makes it his mission to save everyone he possibly can, even if that means risking his own life. Then you have Mi-Soo, a cardiothoraic surgeon who hasn't really grasped the idea of "saving lives" as she seems to make medical decisions for almost selfish reasons. An incident on Mi-Soo's half (I won't say cause I don't want to spoil it) leaves her seeking out Kang-il for help and eventually leads to them falling in love.
Reasons to watch: It's fun, its light hearted and it's different. Han Hyo Joo does a great job of being a selfish and yet funny woman who really will go for what she wants. I'm not surprised she did well in this role since it's similar to a lot of her other roles in the past. Go Soo plays a great broading character and does fantastic in the emotional bits.
Reasons you shouldn't watch: If you don't like fire, or selfish doctors or beautiful people like Go Soo and Han Hyo Joo lol
I hope this review helps people check out some kmovies they otherwise wouldn't (I know, people usually love dramas, but kmovies have their own charms)😃 If it works, I'll try to do one every week or so. Oh and you can watch this on gooddrama.net!
