Ok movies I can watch without comparing. But grrrrrrrrrrr asian dramas are ruining me.
I really do not joke when I say after each korean drama I watch the level of expectation only seems to get higher. I usually don't have a any time to watch tv. But the new ekta show Kitani mohabbat hai came out and it seemed nice. well the 1st episode touched my heart and I wanted to stick to something on IF. And the only way for me to pay regular attention to it was to by becoming the updater. And I did. The show is good. It is actually going good. It's not dragging neither is it making stupid lame rona dhona drama like other Ekta shows. The biggest problem comes when I have to rate the show. I end up giving it a 7. And everyone thinks I am going nuts since they think it deserve more than a 10. Ofcourse I went back and changed it. It seems so weird. the whole forum is goo goo gaga over the guy and the show saying it is the best.
and in my head I say I wish I could take part in that excitement.
Thanks Korean dramas...no no thanks BBF!! How can anything ever compare to it???? Unless they get the hottest 4 guys in india and make the most expensive indian show till date.
Do I make sense??😕

You make complete sense. Indian programming really is not cutting it for me anymore. I don't watch anything anything on indian television expect for the one good reality dance show. I mean before when I didn't watch Korean dramas, I thought indian shows were the best, well kind of.. But after you watch something like bbf and some other very lovely and hilarious dramas it just boggles my mind. And it's very hard not to compare dramas. since they all work by continuing storylines, great character development and such. When I watch bbf I tell myself god imagine if something of this standard came out in India. Plus, the media here is not all that great, at giving continuing hype, and I can understand because our shows go into deep downfalls, on a regular regular basis, and a lot of audience just stop watching the show because they get tired. East Asian shows are shorter, so people keep up easily.

Fatima,
My mother watches KMH and she kind of likes it.. though nothing new about the story.. it still is a bit refreshing as per her.. I have stopped watching Indian dramas a long ime back. No matter which PH makes them, all the dramas turn the same ... Korean drama though not so unpredictable , they still are good to watch because of the treatment.. As for Indian version of BBF .. it will be a mammoth task to find some really hot good looking men who can act as well.. We all have been spoiled by LMH so bad that there would always be constant comparisons to him 😳 and the rest as well....

That's exactly how I feel too... I have not been watching any indian tv serials past so many weeks except few indian reality shows Jhalak Dikhla Jaa... either I'm losing taste or these serials aren't living up to our expectations like other asian dramas...the repetitive concept and all

In asian dramas like Korean/Japanese/TW, they provide unique and completely different concept which was never shown on TV, no stereotyping, etc.
That's why I have been only depending on these dramas, these keep my interests up high always :D
I wish all tv serials were like that...

I love JDJ, the only indian show I wait for with excitement. Dance inida dance is also really good I just don't get enough time to watch it.
As for KMH nothing is new. The same arrogant guy with a good heart and good girl. It is nice though. No drag yet. Always little funny cute moments. Ekta is trying. I will have to give her that much! No special sound effects.
As for pulling of something like bbf I though it couldn't be done one ofcourse the lack of goodlooking men who can act but most importantly where will they find 4 gorgeous men who share a screen chemistry? They have to look like friend/brothers. Half of the swooning and fainting happens when f4 is simply walking or standing. Not sure when was the last time a telly actor walked and I thought I would pass out. (happened in kit for me)

Exactly!!!!!!!! contrary to the belief HYD or BBF is also the story about the relationship the F4 share... There has to be a great deal of chemistry between actors ...for them to pull of these roles..( though Woo-Bin & Yi Jung still give me nightmare from a previous episode😆) Though there are certain good actors but unfortunately they all are so past the age to potray these roles.. I am sad that I will nothing new to watch after 30 March... Although one can watch re-runs anytime but fresh episodes always excited us in anticipation of something good....
. My Bro makes fun of the lead male in KMH... when ever he sees him ... though he is a reasonably good looking guy but it seems as he soaks his lips in brine solution overnight....

lol....so how long has it been since ive stopped watching Indian Dramas....hmmmm lemme think...2 years????

once u get hooked on asian dramas....not else compares at all. One of the reasons I think i gave up on Indian dramas was the length...i love how asian dramas actually end ~ without killing characters, have generation leaps where a 20 year old is playing mother of 4 or without having people come back from the dead....its quite ridiculous if u think about it......where has creative planning gone? have indian drama directors lost their minds? possibly...or possibly they're so concerned on giving the indian audiences what they want, that they throw logic out the door......i guess, to each their own. I have to say the only show that i can compare to asian dramas is Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin (~oh gosh...remember the days?) ....I practically lived for the JJKN forum here....its been 5 years since, but I can still remember waiting for each episode eagerly every night, loved the way the story flowed, the direction was superb and it was great until they decided to continue the show without the storyline......duh duh duh........bad move....but anywayz, I will still say it has been the best show till date if I were to compare it to asian dramas...ofcourse asian dramas are in a league of their own but seriously, you just cant go back....

i'll love thee who reads my whole speech ~lolz

LOL you make complete sense...for the last 3-4 years i've never watched a Indian drama until it finishes & for the last 1-2 years i completely stopped watching 'em

since everyone is saying that
Kitani mohabbat hai is good and all that,i watched the first epi & i dint have a REAL urge to watch the next epi so i stopped & thought to my self **nahh...it seems like i'll stick to asian dramas until i die**😆..
in a way
i feel sad that i can't enjoy desi dramas anymore LOL😕😆
