"TVXQ on Musique, a French Magazine (TVXQ/DBSK/Tohoshinki)

Being at the top of ranking charts of Asian music industry for years, the korean boys 'DONG BANG SHIN GI/KI' became superstars adulated in lots of country. Since their last album's success, MIROTIC, realead in October, they're not ready to stop. Discover the universe of "The Rising Gods of the East"

Known under lots of name according to the country, Dong Bang Shin Ki/Gi shortened in DBSG/DBSK in Korea, Tohoshinki (THSK) in Japan, or Tong Vfang Xien Qi for TVXQ in China, their name modestly means "Rising Gods of the East". Those 5 cute korean guys who don't know crisis {note: it's in reference of a french song, so don't pay attention, stupid joke XD} are : Xiah (Kim Junsu), U-Know (Jung Yunho), Hero (Kim Jaejoong), Max (Shim Changmin) and Micky (Park Yoochun).The band has been formed thanks to a huge casting of SM entertainement in 2003. They started their career as an acapella band, but the diversity of their talent in singing and dancing let them do more than that.

The Korean population discovered them on stage in December 2003 in a special showcase Britney/Boa. There, they sung their first single "HUG", a wonderful balad which will release the month later and got a lot of success. In June 2004, they "punch" with their second single "The way you are". With good beats and "sexy style", this single raise them as idols. Plus, they are part of the summer album of SME.

After those 2 successful singles, there must have been an album. It will be called "TRI-ANGLE" and released in October. The title song will let us discover a collaboration with Boa and the band "The Trax". We can see a new face of our artists, and a more "visual kei" style. There will of course have success, and they start to be know abroad. They finally remake their first single "HUG", but in english for the international matter.

In January 2005, a chinese version of their first album happens. But there is still THE big thing : the Japanese industry. In April, they start entering it with "Stay with me tonight", followed by "Somebody to Love" their first Japanese singles. But the sales are still less compared with Korean ones. Between those singles, they released in Korea "Hi Ya Ya" and prepare their 2nd album "Rising Sun". This one will also be a huge success. Hero will injure his leg during this period and can't act in the PV, as well for "My Destiny" and will be replaced during live perf. They will end the year with a single collab with the 12 membered-band Super Junior called "Show me Your Love".

In March 2006, they release their new Japanese single "Asu wa Kurukara", used as One Piece Opening. But during April, troubles come : Hero is arrested for driving under alcool {note: I'll change my words, I'm not sure ^^"} and isolated from SME. At this moment, they release "Rising Sun" and "Heart Mind and Soul". This one, exceptional thing for foreign artists, will have a huge success. This success will La La La {<>

In September 2008, they come back in Korea with their album "MIROTIC" having a incredible success, with more than 460 000 sales. The Japanese single with the same name will also be #1. Right now, they're still successful and we will have to wait January 21st to know their 25th single "Bolero". Though their biography is already full, it seems like it won't ever stop.

THE MEMBERS

Xiah : "found" at the age of 12 thanks to his talents, he will be 6 years at the "Starlight Academy System". Thanks to this, he will be the first one chosen to enter the band. He is very calme and loves writing poems. He has also been into collaborations excluding the band : the wonderful song "Timeless" with Jan Ri In, and the AnyBand project with Epik High 's Tablo, the pianist Jin Bora and Boa (yeah! her, again!) they'll sing 2 songs "TPL" and "Promise U". This band was formed for a Samsung campaign.

U-Know : He's the leader. With his exceptional dancing skills, he will be the best dancer during SME dance competition, thanks to this he got into the band. To come this far, since middle school {note: not sure : the school before college}, he will form a dance band with whom he will perform at concerts. He also appeared in Dana's PV as rapper and back dancer. But he's not only an amazing dancer, he also created lots of their dance steps.

Hero : Hero is from english translation of his artist name YoungWoong. He is the main vocal. He was first at the audition, as well physicaly {note:? ^^'} as vocally. He's really perfectionist. His beautiful androgyne face and body will raise him in 2005 to be the Korea's most beautiful man. Being the oldest, he should've been the leader but U-Know asked before him, and that's an advantage to him: he doesn't feel that comfortable to the public!

Max : He chose Choikang ChangMin as his artist name that means "the strongest", "the best". To make it true, he always gives the best of him on stage. He's the youngest of the band, and was already one of the youngest at the auditions, but that didn't prevent him to impress the jury with his voice.

Micky : This latecomer only join the band 6 month after his formation! In despit of his young years in Korea, he left to America when he was 8. His stage name is linked to it, because in America, he was called "Micky", and it lasted. Located couple of years after, during a singing contest, he could pass the audition to enter SM. He also is passionated - useful to the band - : he loves writing songs.

As you can see, DBSG, or as you want to call them, is an inevitable band of the Asian musical industry, and tried almost all styles of music. Then, or we love, or we don't, but they're unavoidable . You only got one solution : try their music if you still haven't!"

Now, the vocal group TVXQ have the most momentum.
Full of hit singles. To be released on March, TVXQ's 4th album title, "The SecretCord" is already determined!

In the NHK Kohaku festival they sang "?????????????????????"... A hit throughout Asia, "Jumon-MIROTIC-"... and then there was their latest single release... "Bolero" was fully recorded and included in the enhanced 4th abum. The DVD includes a audio speech by each of the members and their fan Sekine Tsutomu is also included in the 3rd LIVE TOUR digest video recording.

At the same time, the title of the album and arena tour has already been announced and decided, "4th LIVE TOUR 2009 ~ The Secret Cord ~". Following to last year's, it will become the arena tour resulting to high performance as being expected from TVXQ.

Also today, the movie - Subaru - with the main theme, "Bolero" and a song in the NTV "Zoom In!! SUPER" "Zoom In! Saturday," the theme of the autumn weather "Kiss The Baby Sky" recorded in a powerful triple-side single was released! In particular, the musical arranger and songwriting members, Yoochun | Jaejoong music being recorded, was in the spotlight.
