Chapter-25

Arjun read the reports repeatedly not believing them....."yeh mere shree ke bilkul nahi hosaktha....." he closed his eyes.

"Par Kabir mujhe yeh baat kyu nahi bataya abhitak.....mujhe usse baat karna hoga!" Thinking he started coming down but hearing Shree's name he increased his pace.

Coming near the stairs he got shocked seeing his brother, yelled..."Shree!" running down the stairs.

Coming to his side, Arjun cupped his face, "Chote..."

He was trying to wake him, while the others were having teasing smirks....."Kabir ...waha kada kyu hoh tum, dekho kya hua isse?"

But seeing their smiles he narrowed his eyes, "Ho kya gaya tumsab ko, mera bhai behosh hain aur tumlog hassrahe hoh?"

"Aur nahi toh kya dekho...waha!" Sameer said, who turned and saw Shree looking at him with his eyes wide open, with a smile, "Bhai mujhe kyu nahi hua!"

Arjun realised it's just a drama...looked at all, pushed Shree slightly.., "Yeh kya bekhudi mazak hain!" He yelled on them angrily.

"Arjun hum bas apke saath prank kaarahe tey!".

"Prank! Usse aise dekhar mere jaan nikhalgai.....lekin mei kise baat karraha huh!" Arjun shouted on them.

"Bhai...hum bas mazak karahe tey!" Shree tried to pacify him with guilt.

"Tu chup rahega...ek shabh nahi tere muh se, samje?" Arjun glared at him.

"Bhai.."

But Arjun just showed his hand, "Just shutup, Shreekanth...ek baar kehne pe samj nahi atha.."

Turning to all "Tumlogon ko mujhse baat chupana, mujhe pareshan karna bahut acha lagta haina .. yeh bhi nahi socha, usko aise halath mei dekhkar mujhe par kya beethegi...aur tumdono!" Looking at Sam, Kabir..."tumdono bhi inke saath diya...."

"Arjun gussa kyu horrahe hoh...bas mazak hih toh hain!" Sameer tried to coax him.

But Arjun glared at him angrily, "Mazak...Sameer tumhe lagata hain mei mazak ke mood mei hongha woh bhi shree ke reports dekhne ke baad!"

Hearing him both Sam and Kabir looked at him in horror as Arjun threw the file on the table, looking at them...but Sameer expression only increased his anger, "Tumhe bhi pata tha...aur tum mujhe batana Jaruri nahi samja...aur Kabir, kya wajah thi iss baat ko mujhse chupane ki?"

"Arjun hum chupana nahi chaha...tum busy tey aur wakth nahi mila!' Kabir tried to pacify him but Arjun stopped him, "Shree keliye mei kabhi busy nahi huh..tum dono ne yeh baat mujhse chupakar badi galti ki...."

Shree seeing their fighting, intervened, "Bhaiya...please shanth hojayiye, I am sorry!"

Arjun turned glaring at him..."Don't Shreekanth!"

"Mujhe tumlogon se kuch baat hih nahi karna, joh marzi mein aye woh karo, mere paas ane ki jarurat hih nahi!" Saying he left the house angrily leaving them in guilt.

Arjun drove from there rashly covering the distance to his house in just 15minutes! He directly went to his mother's, who were shocked seeing his state. Arpita coming to him, "Arjun beta...yeh apko kya hua?" she asked caressing his face.

Arjun hugged her tightly, "Maa..." Which made them both worry.

"Arjun, kya hua beta...batayiye!" They were so much worried as Arjun would never show his vulnerability.

Arjun shook his head just increasing his hold....they both took him to her room, made him lay on the bed. Arjun kept head on his mother lap silently soaking into her comfort to calm his heart. Here the two were worried seeing his condition. Arpita caresseing his hair, "Arjun batayiye...kya hua...apko aise dekhkar mujhe bahut dar lagrahi!"

Hiding his face, he told what ever happened...."maa... Humhara shree,woh bahut hih week hai...mei kaise usse theek karu...woh badle ki aag mei apna dyaan rakhna choddiya do saal se... Aur mei kuch karbhi nahi paraha huh!"

"Maa... Agar mere bhai ko kuch hoga toh mei kaise jeepaunga! Mar javunga uske bina mei!" Arjun cried hugging her. The mother's felt bad seeing his state... Gayatri caressing his back, "Arjun beta...aap chinta mat kijiye...kuch nahi hoga shree ko, humsab haina!"

They tried to calm him...with emotional turmoil Arjun drifted into sleep. Noticing it Arpita said, "mera beta kitna sehraha hain....kabhi apne dard ko bahar sabke samne nahi raktha...chupchap sab sehen karthe aya hai."

"Haa... Arpita....Arjun kabhi kuch nahi kehta, sabka dyaan rakhtha, lekin kabhi apne mann mei kya hain kuch nahi batata...aur aaj incharon ne issko bahut teez paunchaya!" Gayatri was truly angry on others. She immediately called them to mansion."Ane dho batati huh!"

They Even informed their husbands calling them from study.

In Singhania mansion, all were quiet processing what happened. "Hum sab milkar Arjun ko bahut hurt kiya aaj!" Kabir said after much silence.

"Haa... Woh humhe kabhi maaf nahi karenghe!" Sakshi replied sadly.... she was scolding herself for even agreeing to the prank. "Yeh jante huye bhi Arjun Shree keliye kitna protective hain, humsab ko yeh mazak nahi karna tha.."

"Mazak ka kuch nahi hota, agar Arjun woh file na dekhe hote...jiske baare mei humne usse abhitak nahi bataya...lekin uss file ko dekhte aur saathi yeh mazak, ussko bahut teez paunchai.." Sameer informed them.

Shree was silent, as he was the one who decided to prank his brother..."yeh sab mere wajah hua, na mei yeh prank karna sochte na yeh sab hota!" He said looking down with tears.

The trio looked at him, Sakshi going towards him, lifted his head, "Nahi bacha....aisa mat kaho...humsabse galti hogai...humhe Mana karna chahiye tha tumhe lekin hum bhi tumhara saath diya na...yeh tumhara akele ki galthi nahi, humsabka hai!"aand took him into hug.

At the sametime Sameer phone rang, who lifted the call. But hearing from otherside he looked at others, "Chalo...ghar, mom bhularahi humsabko!"

"Par achanak! Aaj toh dinner hum yaha karnewale tey na?" Kabir said with frown.

At the sametime a servant came, "Sir...chotimam ka call aya woh dinner na banane ki boli!"

"Achanak...theek hain tum jao." Kabir dismissed him.

"Chalo..chalte hain, Arjun se baad mei maafi manghen ghe!" Sameer said and with that all started for RR mansion.

Coming to mansion they noticed the house was silent, "Ramu kaka...sab kaha hai?"

"Sab...badesaab ke kamre mei hain! Aapsab ka intezaar karrahe woh log!" Ramu kaka replied going from there.

"Sab, dad ke kamre mei kyu hai?" Shree frowned but all went to that direction.

Entering inside they stood in shock seeing their angry faces, but what shocked them was looking at Arjun who was asleep on Arpita's lap. Watching him they looked down in guilt..

"Mom...apne bhulaya?" Sameer asked getting courage.

Gayatri glared at them, wanted to shout on him, "Gayatri rukho...aur tumsab bahar chalo!" Surya stopped her and ordered others.

"Arpita aap Arjun ke paas rahiye!" Surya said softly and all came into hall.

The elders glared at the four, "aap sabko jarasabhi sharmidagi hai ki nahi apne kiye par?"

"Par mom, hua kya hai?" Sameer asked her.

"Hua hain ki humhe sab pata hain Singhania mansion mei kya hua....itna ghinona mazak...woh bhi Arjun ke saath?" Surya fired on them.

The four looked on with guilt, "Papa, humhe sach mei nahi pata Arjun aisa react karega..."

"Yeh aap bole rahe Sakshi? Jabki aap yeh achi tarah jante ki Arjun, Shree ko apne bete se kam nahi mantha...aap bhi toh shree ko apne pehla aulad manthe haina toh aise mei aap yeh sab kaise karsakthi...sochiye agar yehi mazak Arjun ya koi aur apke saath kiya hota toh?" Gayatri asked her.

"Aur aap Sameer beta...ghar ke bade hoh na aap! Yeh dono to bache hain nadan hain lekin aap toh samajdar hoh, ek zimmedar hodhe pe hoh phir apne aisa kyu kiya...aapse yeh ummed nahi thi!" Surya scolded him dejectedly.

"Aur aap Kabir...ek doctor hain aap, ek aise position mei hai log apko bhagwan manthe..., Arjun bhi apko kam nahi smajtha....aur aap Arjun ke saath bachpan se hain...kya apko nahi pata woh kaisa hain...aap unse yeh baat kaise chupai.....aur iss mazak mei saath diya" Rajveer asked him.

"Shree aur sakshi ko chodo, manlete woh dono kuch nahi jante... Issliye woh yeh mazak kiya lekin aapdono, sab jante hue bhi undono ko woh karne diya? Prank se bi jyada hurt woh iss baat pe hain ki aapdono usse apne hih bhai ke halath chupai.." Gayatri scolded the duo.

Shree was till now listening to them silently, who was not even pointed out...."Please, aapsab inhe kyu daath rahe...galti toh meine kiya...bhaiya ko meine teez paunchaya...aap mujhe sunayiye unhe nahi...iss sabki jadh toh mei huh!"

But before the elders could say something the trio at a time, "Shree ki koi galti nahi.." and looked at eachother.

The elders looked at them who were trying to protect shree, shook their heads...Sakshi moving front, "choti maa Shree ki koi galti nahi thi.....sachmei,... aur apne sahi kaha, agar aisa mazak koi mujhse karega mei bikul bardash nahi karthi...mei Arjun ki dard samaj sakthi huh...aur humsab ko yeh afsoos bhi hain ki humhe unhe bahut hurt kiya, lekin jaanpuchkar kuch nahi kiya hum...!"

"Beta... humsab jante hain, aaplog kabhi ekdusre ko hurt nahi karsakthe... hum bas aap sabko kush dekhna chahte....aur Arjun ko toh aap bhali bati jante hain, woh apna dard kabhi kisise share nahi kartha siwai aapse....aaj unhe aisa dekhe humsab ko bahut teez paunchi!" Gayatri replied sadly.

"Dekho...hum tumbachon ke mamle mei kabhi interfere nahi karthe...kyunki yeh aaplog ko aapas ka mamla hain, par aaj yeh mazak hadh se jyada hogai kyunki iske karan Arjun ko bahut teez paunchai... Issliye humhe bolna pada!"

"Aapsab kya karthe yeh hum nahi jante...lekin aap sabko Arjun se maafi manghne hoga aur unhe manane bhi hain...!woh bhi aaj raat tak!" Rajveer said to them going from there.

As the elders left they all immersed themselves in guilt for hurting Arjun somuch. When Arjun wokeup they tried to talk to him but he avoided the four locking himself in the study with his father's.

The four tried to pacify him but Arjun was not in a mood to listen anything. The elders also didnot say anything but felt bad seeing their children....

Before dinner the four cornered him, catching their ears, "Arjun..maaf karde humhe... please!"

But Arjun gave a deaf ear to them moving from there without a word. On dining table the environment was silent. Shree not able to bear his brother silence, "Bhaiya... please mujhe maaf kijiye ...mei aisa mazak kabhi nahi karunga!" He apologised with tears.

Arjun clenched the spoon tightly ignoring him, but Shree was not done... "Theek hai aapko mujhse naraz rehna haina toh rehiye...mei apko manaane ki koshish kartha raha aur aap kuch sunnekeliye tyaar hih nahi...agar aap ziddi hai toh mei bhi apka chota bhai huh, aapse bhi jyada ziddhi huh!"

Before he could say something, "Shree..tum chupraho...aur dinner karo!" Sakshi stopped him but Shree not listening to her, "nahi....mujhe nahi khana... jabtak bhai mujhe maaf nahi kartha, aur mujhse baat nahi kartha mei nahi khanewala!"

All were worried listening to him, "Chote...bas! Chupchap khalo!"Sameer warned him.

"Nahi... Mera kya galti hain, mei toh bas apne bhai se mazak karraha tha.....joki harwakht kartha rehta huh..,.. mujhe toh yeh bhi nahi pata uss reports mei kya hai! Mujhe kuch nahi khana!" Shree said adamantly..

Arjun with tight jaw...."maa, kehdijiye apne chote bete se chupchap khane khale....warna!"

"Warna kya?" Shree asked halting him.

All the family looked on worriedly, at their fight.... "Warna yeh Shreekanth Rawte, aajse tumhara ETF ana bandh hoga!" Which shocked them.

"Aisa kuch nahi karsakthe aap ..kyunki mere galti ke bina aap mujhe ETF se nahi nikhalsakthe!" Shree didn't backdown which only angered Arjun.

"Nikalsaktha huh...unfit for the work ke basis pe...and I have every authority to do it!"

"Ekbar karke toh dhikayiye..!" Shree challenged him.

"Bas.." Arjun slammed his hand on the table startling everyone...."Don't you dare to test my patience, Shreekanth! Chupchap khalo!"

Sakshi seeing them both, "Arjun aap shanth hojayiye...aur Shree tum bhi!"

"Sambhalo apne dewar ko!"

"Shree... meri baat manno, aur khalo..." Sakshi catching Shree hand nodded her head in no, blinking her eyes indicating she would handle.... and started feeding him, who ate silently,...which gave relief to everyone.

Arjun satisfied, completed his food and went from there not giving a chance to listen. Directly going to his room he got busy reading a book.

The four were seeing him from the door, which he was very well aware but still didnot relent. Outside, "Bhai...kuch kijiye! Mujhe unki narazgi aur sehen nahi hota..." Shree pleaded them.

They were worried for his health as he was taking stress on other side Arjun was not getting pacified. "Chote...please, stress mat lo...teri tabeeth karab hoga!"

"Par...bhaiya, mujhse baat toh dur dekh bhi nahi raha hai!" Shree whispered looking at Arjun direction longingly.

Sakshi having enough of Arjun stubborness, worried about Shree dragged him inside. "Arjun aap kabtak naraz rehenghe humse...Mana ki galti hogai humse, humhe woh prank nahi karna tha...par Arjun aabh aap joh karrahe woh galat hain...kya aap chahte ki Shree ki tabeeth sach mei kharab hoh...apko pata haina woh kiska bhi narazgi sehen karthe lekin apke nahi....phir.... Dekhiye usse...aapke bartav se kitna teez paunchraha hain!"

"Sakshi...koi behas nahi...aur sab yahase jao! Mujhe kisi se baat nahi karna." Arjun replied without lifting his head.

Shaking her head, She made Shree to lay on their bed, "chupchap soja...kisko teri fikar hoh ya na hoh mujhe jarur hain!" And started caressing his curls, signed showing towards Arjun blinking her eyes..

Shree looking at her understood her signs then looked at Arjun who was having indifference, turned around placing his head on Arjun's lap..."Bhaiya...I am sorry... please mujhe maaf kar dijiye, mei kabhi aisa mazak nahi karunga, sachiii!!" He cried wrapping arms around his waist..

Arjun reslove broke immediately, though he was showing indifference it broke him totally inside but when Shree hugged him, his anger flew away instantly.....lifting his hand, started caressing his hair, "Shh...Chote...bas abh ro mat, mein naraz nahi huh!"

Looking at him, "Pucca!"

"Ah pucca!" Arjun smiled at his innocence, kissed his forehead. Sakshi had smiled as atleast her plan worked...

"Arjun...mei tumhara guneghar huh....I am sorry.....hum tumse baat nahi chupana chaha...jab reports ayi mei seedha tumhe inform karne aya....lekin tum sakshi ko lekar farm house gai...tumdono ki itni khushi ke din ko kharab nahi karne chahte...party ke baad batanewale tey...lekin mauka hih nahi mila..."Kabir replied knowing he would understand.

"Aur hum cases mei itna ulajgaye ki yeh baat mere dimag se nikhal gaya....aaj tumhe batane wale tey... lekin isspehle tumhe patalaga aur yeh sab hogai! We are sorry Arjun!" Both apologised sincerely.

Arjun looked at them, "Mujhe iss baat ka koi dukh nahi tha...mujhe par prank kiye..lekin iss baat ka jarur hain tumlog mujhe yeh baat chupai...aur afsoss ki itna dyaan rakhne ke baad bhi, Shree ki reports mei koi sudhar nahi!"

"And mujhe bhi maaf kardho, mujhe aisa react nahi karna tha..... Par mujhe uss wakth kuch samaj hih nahi aya.." Arjun replied as he understood their words.

"Toh iskamatlab aap mujhe bhi maaf kiya?" Sakshi asked him.

"Bilkul nahi...tumhe toh rokhna chahiye na sakshi, inhe?" Arjun looked at her.

"Arjun....aap na aiwai hih mujhe satathe hoh.." sakshi pouted at him, making him smile, "acha...yaha ajao!" He invited her into side hug who leaned happily.

Atlast the matter settled between them this was observed by family who had smiles on their faces, "Chalo acha hain...panchon mei sula toh hua!"

Arjun gazed at shree who slept then looking at Kabir, "problem kya hai? Mei toh isse roz dawai deraha huh phir isski reports mei sudhar kyu nahi?"

Kabir explained him everything, listening to which Arjun was feeling low... "Abh hum kya kare?"

" I don't know, agar tumhe vivek ki suggestion acha bhi lage, mujhe himmat nahi hoga usse woh injections dene, bahut royega yeh mai sure huh!" Kabir whispered slowly!

"Lekin mujhe yeh idea best lagrahi, humne eksaal se sab try kiya siwai yeh...isse bhi try karthe hain kya pata iski halath mei kuch sudhar aye! Dard hoga par kamsekam isski halath sudharjayegi na!" Sameer suggested.

Arjun was in deep thinking, "Kabir kitna powerful hoga?"

"Bahut painful hoga!" Kabir informed.

Nodding, "tumlog sone jao...mei kal subah apna decision bataunga!" With that they both went wishing them gudnyt.

Sakshi looking at him, ", Arjun?"

"mei kya karu, Jaan....!" Arjun replied looking down at Shree.

"Jiju ki baat manalijiye, dose increase karke dekhthe haina hum!" Sakshi replied keeping her head on his shoulders, "Aap jyada stress mat lijiye...aur mujhe pura barosa aap joh bhi faisla lenghe usmei shree ki balai hih hoga aur mei apke har decision mei saath dungi!"

"Arjun...mei kal nahi apavungi office..." Sakshi informed him.

"Lekin kyu Jaan!"

"Woh mujhe papa ke saath jana hoga... project final touchings aur quotation baki hai....kal woh har hala mei pura karni hogi..kyunki parso raat ko unke flight hai!" Sakshi said to which Arjun nodded.. "Sameer ko mail kardho leave letter..."

Nodding at him, she kissed his cheek, "Thankyou...aur shree keliye jyada pareshan mat hojayiye...jabtak hum hai usse kuch nahi hoga.."

Entire night Arjun didnot sleep, he was looking at Shree and Sakshi who were his everything.

Next-day morning, Arjun discussed the matter with his father's then with Sameer and Kabir....coming to a decision. When Shree came down he saw his brothers frowned, "bhai aapdono ko der nahi horaha hai kya?" He asked looking at watch.

Arjun looking up "Hum tumhara hih ka wait karrahe chote!"

"Par kyu?" Shree frowned taking place beside his brother.
Arjun stroking his hair, "Gudmrng chote...abh tumhara tabeeth kaisa hai?"

"Acha issliye mujhe kuchdinon se sardard aur ultiyan horaha hai?" Shree asked but looking at their faces he realised his mistake.

Arjun making him to look at his eyes, "Chote...yeh tum kya bolrahe hoh...sardard aur ulti..aur yeh baat humhe kyu nahi bataya?"

Kabir taking place on other side checked him, "Shree yeh baat apko pehle batana chahiye na?"

"Par hua kya?" He frowned with confusion.

"Iskamatlab woh tablets tere body pe asar nahi karrahe...tere body dawai se ladhrahe hain!" Kabir said with worry.

"Kabir hum kya kare...agar woh tablets asar nahi karrahe toh kya guarantee hain dose increase karne ke baad asar karega!" Arjun asked him.

"Woh toh mujhe bhi pata nahi...iske alawa ek hih option toh hain humhare paas joh isko bhikul acha nahi lagega.." Kabir replied back.

"Isko acha ya na acha lagne ka koi gunjayish hih nahi...joh iske liye sahi wahi karneghe hum!" Sameer replied.

"Par kya?" Shree frowned looking at the three.

Trio glancing at eachother, Arjun took his hand making him look, "Woh dusra option yeh ki pills ke jagah injections use karna!"

As soon as he head Shree removed his hand, "Nahi...bilkul nahi!"

"Chote...bachon ki tarah behave mat karo..yeh tere balai keliye!" Sameer scolded him.

"Lete.... agar mere lene se teri thabeeth theek hoga toh ek nahi dus bhi lene keliye tyaar hain hum." Arjun replied making him look at him.

Shree nodding his head, "bhaiya...please mujhe nahi chahiye…."

Arjun sighed hugging him, "acha theek hain...pehle shanth hojao tum!"

Shree nodded catching his hand tightly.... "Mei tumhe ek option deta huh!"

"Kabir tera dose increase karega aur tu bina koi nakhre woh lenghe...aur humsab ki har baat manoge....aur joh diet plan hoga woh jarur follow karoge.....pandra din baad tera blood test phirse hoga...agar koi bhi sudhar nahi hua toh tumhe woh injections lena hih hoga..bina koi behas ke!" Arjun kept his condition forward.

Shree started thinking about what he said intently nodded his head, "Theek hain...mei iss pandradin mei itna acha khayal rakhunga ki mujhe injections kya dawai bhi na lene padega!"

"Itna hih nahi chote...tumhe humhe akar batana hoga agar dubara sardard ya ulti ya aisa koi bhi baat huyi samje!" Kabir warned him who nodded.

"Theek hain mei tumhara dawai bhejdeta huh...time se lena!"

Shree nodded at him, hugging his brother, "Thankyou bhai..abh mei jaa raha huh..."

After his exit, Sameer, Kabir looked at Arjun who had serious expression on his face. Seeing their looks, "kya hai?"

"Shree kya hua?"

Shaking his head, he cropped the report upto his name and sent to liza who opened it in her system. Seeing it, "Shree...yeh sach mei tera reports hai?"

When he nodded she fired at him angrily, "Dyaan kaha rehta tumhara...apna khayal rakh rahe hoh yaa har wakht case, laptop issmei ghuske reh rahe hoh din bhar!"

Her outburst startled them both..."Liza baat kya hai?" Ayesha asked calming her.

"Shree...mei mbbs nahi ki...iskamatlab yeh nahi ki mujhe treatment ka knowledge nahi hai...... Aise mei iron aur b12 course lena hoga na!"

"Meine Mana kiya ...abh kuch toh madad karo!" Shree pleaded with them..."dekho Liza agar tum meri madat karogi toh mei tumhe apne saath drive par lejavunga!"

Liza looked at him as if he was even real, "Shree tum itna kyu darr rahe hoh...deere deere normal hoga na!" Ayesha asked him with concern.

Shree looking up, "Hey deva..abh inka kaise samjao..waha joh insaan hain, agar unhe mere reports mei sudhar na dikhegi woh mujhe jabardasti mere khaan pakad kar keechkar jayega...meri ek na nahi sunegha...."he made crying face.

Seeing his expressions, "Acha theek hain hum madat karenghe, lekin Shree agar tu apna dyaan nahi rakhega toh mei Arjun sir aur Rathod sir ko sab bataungi...phir khalena unki daanthawai ke saath har roj!"

"Inhe kaun batayega....jisse mei darraha huh woh yeh dono hih toh hain," still nodded his head, hugging Ayesha first then Liza. But realising he moved far quickly giving a sheepish smile, "Acha mei chalta huh!"

After his exit, Ayesha gave a teasing smile, "Lagta hain, Shree ko apne feelings ka ehsaas horahe...warna woh tumhare paas kyu ayega madat manghne!"

Liza who was happy with his hug, "hmm... lekin Ayesha, mujhe uski chinta horahi...."

"Chinta mat karo....sab theek hoga, kaha na woh hum joh kahenghe woh karnekeliye tyaar hain!" Ayesha consoled her.

"Usse healthy food aur rest ki jarurat hain lekin mujhe nahi lagta yeh itna asan hain, office mei itna stress hain....yeh ghar pe akele apna dyaan raktha bhi ya nahi pata nhi!" She murmured worridely.

They got a case, immediately involved in it forgetting everything....

Otherside, the car in which Sakshi, Suryakanth and Rajveer were going met with a accident.
