Yes this is an Ariya story

Hey guys...thanks a lot for reading and commenting. This is the last part of this TS so all your questions will be answered.

I know many of you had already made some speculations about this story. The thing is I wrote the end way before posting. I wanted to change it to what you guys expected but then I thought that if a story becomes predictable, it's not very fun so I stuck to the original idea. I hope you like it.

The next day, ETF met up for the further investigation. Everyone was discussing theories when Liza came rushing in.

Seeing her tensed face, everyone got alerted. Shree asked, "Kya hua Liza...itni pareshaan kyun lag rahi ho?"

Liza turned to Sameer and revealed something shocking. "Rathod sir, mujhe trigger aur gun par fingerprints mile hain. Hum suspects ke fingerprints se unhe match kar sakte hain."

A smile came on everyone's faces. They were so close to catching the culprit. Just then Chotu entered with the suspects. "Sir, yeh hain wo 4 ladkiyan."

A look of rage came upon their faces, thinking that one of these girls had attacked Arjun.

Everyone was in the interrogation room. They called in one girl at a time to investigate about their whereabouts. They were also collecting their fingerprint samples.

The first 3 suspects had perfect alibis and reason for being in that area. It frustrated the team to no end because they were going nowhere in their search for truth. It was now time to interrogate the last one. The girl was very beautiful, too innocent to even think of hurting a bug. But then again, innocent ones are usually the most dangerous.

Sameer sat across her with a stern face. "Naam kya hai tumhara aur kya kaam karti ho?"

The girl was a little intimidated by him. "Mera naam Riya Mukherjee hai sir. Main ek fashion designer hoon."

"Tum kal subah uss jungle ke paas kya kar rahi thi?"

"I went there to meet my boyfriend. Aur main unhi ke saath thi."

"Achha toh call lagao use."

"Sir, wo mera kal se phone nahi utha rahe."

"Koi baat nahi. Dobara try karo. Aur iss baar humare samne."

Riya took out her phone and dialled a number which was saved with the caller ID 'Majhyaa Premaa' but the phone was switched off.

Sameer signaled Shree to check her phone records and tap it. "Achha toh tumhare boyfriend ka naam kya hai?"

Riya was nervous which did not go unnoticed by anyone. "I'm sorry sir. Wo main aapko nahi bata sakti."

Suddenly the door slammed open and a frantic Liza stood in the doorway. "Sir, fingerprints matched."

Everyone was feeling something between happiness and anger. Sakshi asked, "Kaun hai wo?"

Liza pointed at the girl. "Ms. Riya Mukherjee."

Their heads snapped towards the girl who was fidgeting in her chair. An uncontrollable amount of rage consumed them and Sakshi ran up to her, slapping her across the face. Everyone marched to the table she was sitting on.

Aisha couldn't control herself so she burst out. "Tumhari himmat kaise hui humare senior ko jaan se maarne ki koshish karne ki?"

Sameer looked down on her with disgust. "Jhooth bola bhi toh kaisa? Jo ek minute mein pakda gaya."

Riya had tears in her eyes and looked confused. "Yeh aap sab kya bol rahe hain? Maine koi jhooth nahi bola. Maine kisi ko maarne ki koshish nahi ki."

Shree was infuriated. "Jhooth nahi bola toh apne boyfriend ka naam batao."

"Wo main nahi bata sakti. But sir maine kisi ko nahi maara."

Sameer spoke in a deadly voice, "Tumne humare team member, humari family ke ek sadasya ko maarne ki koshish ki hai. Aur proof hai murder weapon pe tumhari ungliyon ke nishaan. Iske liye tumhare khilaaf strict actions liye jaaenge."

Riya was sobbing begging them to believe her. Sameer ordered his team. "Aisha ki information ke hisaab se she is highly trained. Aisha, Liza and Sakshi tum iske saath raho aur isse sach ugalwane ki koshish karo. Shree, I want CCTV footage from the shops near that jungle. Agar yeh culprit nahi hai toh asli culprit abhi bhi bahar ghoom rahi hai. Chotu tum mere saath raho."

Like this, five days pass by. The girls tried interrogating Riya, sometimes threatening her and sometimes slapping her to speak the truth but she kept repeating the same thing that she was with her boyfriend and she didn't try to kill anyone. The boys didn't find any other clue about any other possible suspect. They all spent every night in Arjun's room, talking with him.

The entire team was in the conference team when Sameer got a call that Arjun has gained consciousness. The team rushed to the hospital. As soon as they reached Arjun's room, their eyes were wet with unshed tears. Without wasting a second, all the juniors ran to him and crushed him in a group hug.

Witnessing their love and concern for him, Arjun's eyes teared up. He hugged them back. When they let him go, everyone burst out into chatter at the same time. This caused Arjun to laugh out loud. "Arey ek ek karke bolo. Kya fish market bana diya hospital ko. Waise maine tum sab ki baatein suni thi jab main behosh tha.", he smiled genuinely. That shocked everyone and they shifted on their feet in nervousness.

Shree asked in a meek tone, "Sir aapko bura toh nahi laga humari baaton ka?"

Arjun smiled softly at him, ruffling his hair affectionately. "Kya koi apne chhote bhai ki baaton ka kabhi bura maan sakta hai?" Shree smiled brightly and hugged him again, not wanting to let him go away. Arjun turned to his team.

"Chotu, tumne mujhe mera favourite khana khilane ka vaada kiya tha. Aisha, ab se please meri baatein maan lena aur jhagda shuru mat karna. Liza, dekho tumhare operation ki dhamki ki wajah se main uth gaya...ab toh baksh do meri pyaari organs ko. Miss Anand, aapne kya aansuon ki nadiyaan bahani shuru kar di. Aur Sameer, mere bhai, football match ka ritual main kabhi tod sakta hoon bhala? Ab tum log samjhe ya samjhaun..."

Everyone engulfed him in another hug, tears of happiness flowing from all their eyes.

"Aur tum sab toh meri family ho. Aur family se door koi nahi reh sakta."

They were chatting happily for a while when Chotu said, "Sir, humne aap par goli chalane waali ladki ko pakad liya hai. Wo abhi ETF ki custody mein hai."

Arjun's face turned angry. He clenched his fists. "Kya wo ladki pakdi gayi? Achha hai ab uski interrogation main karunga."

A couple hours later, Arjun was discharged. He directly went to his office to have a 'chat' with the culprit. Here, Riya was sitting in a corner, shivering in fear and crying bitterly. She had been here for 5 days and had never felt more frightened.

Sakshi came in the room angrily, "Dekho humara wo officer bhi wapis aa gaya hai. Agar tumne hume sach bol diya hota toh achha hota. Lekin ab wo interrogate karega apne tareeke se, aur usmein tumhe bohot dard hoga."

Riya was petrified. She pulled her knees to her chest staring continuously at the door. She just wished for this torture to be over. Just then the door slammed open, banging against the wall, startling her. The entire ETF team entered and gave Riya an angry glare. Behind them Arjun entered, his face ablaze with fire and eyes red.

As soon as his eyes came in contact with the figure sitting in the corner, he froze. Her condition was horrible. Tear-stained face, fear-filled eyes, messy hair and an ugly bruise on her left cheek where the girls slapped her. She looked at Arjun in shock. Tears rolled down her eyes again.

"Riya?", he asked in shock.

"Arjun...", she whimpered.

That snapped Arjun out of his stupor and he sprinted towards her, pushing everyone out of the way. He was kneeling beside her, caressing her face and hugging her close to his heart. He whispered sweet words in her ears as her sobs subsided gradually.

ETF was shocked to see Arjun like this, acting so caring towards a murderer. Arjun faced his team with fury on his face and asked, "Kiski itni himmat ki usne Riya pe haath uthaya?", so Sameer told him the entire story. Pain filled Arjun's face hearing about the torture Riya went through. He pulled apart and cupped her face, slowly caressing her bruised cheek.

"Riya yeh sab kya hai? Tumne inhe apne boyfriend ka naam kyun nahi bataya? Kyun sach nahi bola aur chup chap sehti rahi? Itna pyaar karti ho apne boyfriend se?"

Riya looked at him with a smile, her beautiful dimpled smile. "Kyunki maine apne boyfriend se vaada kiya tha ki unki marzi ke bina main unka naam kisi ko nahi bataungi. Main unka bharosa kaise tod sakti thi? Aur pyaar toh main unse apni jaan se bhi zyada karti hoon."

Tears filled Arjun's eyes. She truly loved her boyfriend, to the point that she was ready to sacrifice everything for him. Something clicked in her brain and she looked at Arjun in horror. "Matlab jis officer ko goli lagi wo aap hain? Kisine mujhe bataya kyun nahi? Aap yahan kya kar rahe hain? Aapko toh rest karna chahiye. Dard ho raha hai? Dawai li? Kuch boliye na..."

"Arey tum bolne dogi toh hi bolunga na. Main theek hoon. Jab tak tum mere saath ho mujhe kuch nahi ho sakta.", Arjun said smiling at her worry for him.

Sameer couldn't take any more of this mystery so he spoke up, "Yeh kya ho raha hai? Arjun tum ise kaise jaante ho aur kaun hai iska boyfriend?"

Before Riya could say anything, Arjun piped up, "Sameer, guys, isse milo. Yeh hai Riya Mukherjee, my girlfriend."

Now everyone was stupefied. Arjun had a girlfriend...the girl they thought as a criminal was actually Arjun's girlfriend. Sakshi's heart broke hearing that but she controlled her tears. Shree came to his senses first and asked, "Sir aapne kabhi bataya nahi ki aap kisi relationship mein hain."

"Haan wo kya hai na, main nahi chahta tha ki kisi ko pata chale aur Riya ki life ko khatra ho. I love her too much to even bear a scratch on her. Main iss Sunday use tum sab se milwane waala tha but yeh sab ho gaya."

Everyone came out of their shock and congratulated the couple. The team apologized to Riya and Riya being the kind soul, instantly forgave them. She gelled up quite nicely with the rest of the team.

Just then something hit Aisha and she asked, "Sir toh fir Riya ke fingerprints gun pe kaise aaye?"

Everyone turned to Riya for the answer. She smiled sheepishly and said, "Wo actually kya hai na ki maine kal Arjun se kaha ki mujhe gun chalana seekhna hai. Main aise chhup-chhup ke milke thak gayi thi. Toh bas wo mujhe seekha rahe the aur mere fingerprints uss gun par aa gaye. I'm sorry ki meri wajah se aap sab ko problem hui."

Satisfied with it, everyone went to their work.

Arjun looked at the investigation board and a picture caught his eye. He turned to Shree, "Yeh kaun hai Shree?"

Shree looked in the direction he was pointing at. "Sir yeh Rakesh hai. Yeh hi aapko hospital le kar gaya tha. Lekin aap kyun puch rahe hain sir?"

"Chotu ise pakad kar lao. Abhi isi waqt."

Everyone was confused about Arjun's orders. As a chief, Sameer needed answers. "Use kyun bulwa rahe ho tum Rawte?"

Arjun turned to him with a cheeky smile and said, "Arey mujhe hospital tak le kar gaya toh uske liye thank-you bolna toh banta hai na."

Sameer shook his head in disbelief but he knew there was something else that Arjun was hiding from them. The team still had their suspicions but nobody dared question their strict boss' motives.

After an hour, Chotu entered the place with Rakesh behind him. He was shocked to see Arjun there but kept his emotions at bay. "Mr. Arjun what a pleasant surprise. Bhagwan ka shukar hai aap theek hain."

Arjun walked up to him and passed a dangerous smile. "Haan it is a surprise indeed kyunki tumne mujhe maut ke muh mein dhakelne mein koi kami nahi chhodi thi, haina?"

That shocked everyone. They thought the murderer was supposed to be a girl and here Arjun was accusing a man for shooting at him. It made them angry that they didn't catch this man earlier and instead thanked him for saving their Arjun's life.

That man was puzzled and began sweating nervously. "Yeh aap kaisi baatein kar rahe hain?"

"Ab tumhara jhooth nahi chalne waala Mr. Rakesh or should I say...Saddam?"

Now that froze everyone's hearts. This man was Saddam? The Saddam, who was one of the most wanted criminals, a very important person of the underworld and... "Saddam, as in the one we've been after for the past few years. Sikander's brother Saddam?", asked a very perturbed Sameer.

Arjun didn't bother taking his eyes off of Saddam and just nodded. There were suddenly seven pairs of eyes glaring dangerously at Saddam and if looks could kill, he would be six feet under the ground.

The man was still a little shocked, confused at how they got to him. "Tum logon ko pata kaise chala ki yeh sab maine kiya tha?"

Arjun turned to him with his trademark stoic face. "Qatil chahe kitna bhi chalak kyun na ho, ek galti zaroor karta hai. Mana tumne apna face cover kiya tha, aur get up bhi auraton waala kiya tha but shayad yeh bhool gaye ki auraton ko make-up kitna pasand hai. Apne chehre ke kuch nishaan mitana bhool gaye tum. Tumhari dayin aankh ke upar jo scar hai uski wajah se tumhare chehre par se parda hatt gaya."

Saddam cursed himself for making such a grave error. Chotu smacked him and Sameer started his interrogation, "Ab tumne Arjun pe kaise attack kiya yeh bataoge ki tumhari achhi khatir-daari karein?"

Saddam laughed maniacally. This Arjun keeps proving himself to be better than all the other enemies of him and his brother. God, this was the same attitude and brain they were a fan of. It made playing games a whole lot more fun.

Realizing that there was no way out, Saddam started talking, "Pichhle kuch dino se humari gang iss ACP ko follow kar rahi thi taaki iska khatma kar sake aur yeh humesha ke liye humare raaste se hatt jaye. 6 din pehle maine dekha ki yeh jungle ke paas jaa raha hai toh maine bhi iska pichha kiya. Wahan yeh apni item ke saath tha aur use goli chalana sikha raha tha. Main chhup ke sab dekh raha tha. Jaise hi iski item gayi, yeh phone pe baat karne lag gaya. Main bina awaaz kiye iske paas gaya aur jaise hi yeh muda, isi ki bandook se isko goli maar di."

Arjun again flashed a smirk and said, "Tumhe kya lagta hai mujhe nahi pata tha ki tum mera pichha kar rahe ho? Tumhe uss jungle tak laaya gaya tha. Aur yeh plan tha Riya ka. Wo jaanti thi ki main Saddam ko pakadna chahta hoon aur Saddam ki saari details usi ne mujhe di thi. Plan ke hisaab se main Riya se jungle ke paas milne gaya aur uske jaate hi usi se phone pe baat kar raha tha. Riya ko laga ki maine already apne officers ko wahin chhupa rakha hai aur isiliye wo chali gayi. Lekin maine aisa kuch nahi kiya. Bas mujhe yeh nahi pata tha ki tum meri hi revolver se mujhe shoot karoge aur uski wajah se Riya fas jaayegi. Ek advice doon? Agli baar mehenge kapde design karwao toh check kar lena ki designer kaun hai."

The team was already aware of Arjun's brilliance but today they were impressed with Riya's intelligence. Suddenly something struck in Liza's brain so she asked, "Toh fir tum Arjun sir ko hospital kyun le kar gaye?"

Saddam laughed again shaking his head. "Wo toh ACP ki achhi kismat hai ki uss din main apni biwi ke saath tha. Isko maarne ke kuch der baad meri biwi ne ise dekh liya aur use mere kaale dhandon ke baare mein kuch nahi pata. Bas isiliye mujhe ise hospital lana pada. Aur iski khush-kismati ki yeh bach gaya." Everyone just gave him murderous looks.

Suddenly, he snatched the pistol from an officer near him and was about to shoot at Arjun when a leg kicked his hand, causing him to drop it. Everyone followed that leg and saw Riya there. She slapped Saddam yelling, "Yeh mere Arjun ko chot pahunchane ke liye." And then she kicked him where sun doesn't shine, "Aur yeh humari family ko dukh dene ke liye."

ETF team was happy to see Riya accept them as willingly as Arjun did. Sameer shot a bullet at his leg, Shree tasered him, Chotu punched him, and Aisha, Liza and Sakshi slapped him hard, all saying, "Aur yeh humare Arjun/Arjun sir ka khoon bahane ke liye." Arjun's eyes teared witnessing everyone's love for him and he mockingly turned to Saddam, a proud look in his eyes.

Saddam was taken away while everyone praised Riya's quick-thinking.The last sentence Saddam spoke was, "Aaj tum bach gaye lekin Sikander bhai abhi bhi tumhare peeche hain."

Sakshi remembered something and voiced her question, "Riya phir tumne hume bataya kyun nahi ki evidence pe tumhare fingerprints kaise aaye."

"Actually, mujhe nahi pata tha ki aap kis officer ki baat kar rahe hain. Main sirf yeh jaanti thi ki Arjun police force mein ACP hain. And like he said, according to plan, he was supposed to be fine and have caught the criminal.", she said with a polite smile and mock-glared at Arjun.

The question was continued by Chotu. "Toh sir, Riya ka samajh mein aata hai lekin wo baaki ke 5 logon ke phone mein aapka number kaise."

Arjun laughed at their faces while answering, "Wo 5 mere informers hain. Riya se milne se pehle meri meeting thi unn sab ke saath."

That erased all the doubts of their minds. They all wanted to chat for a while longer. But duty calls, so everyone had to work while Riya decided to stay and make coffee for everyone and special tea for Arjun.

It was night time so Arjun took Riya to the roof of ETF. The view from there was simply breath-taking. On one side, they could see the vast body of water and on the other side, the city was lightened up with bright lights. A cool breeze was blowing, making the atmosphere more peaceful.

Riya was sitting in Arjun's arms on the ledge, his arms wound around her waist and her back touching his chest. He went close to her ear and whispered, "I'm so sorry Riya. You had to bear so much just because of me and my stupid promise. And thank-you so much for helping me in this mission."

She leaned further into him, shaking her head. "Shh...none of this is your fault. But aapko goli lagi aur mujhe pata bhi nahi tha. I'm sorry ki meri wajah se aapko uss jungle tak aana pada. Agar aapko kuch ho jaata toh main toh marr hi-"

Arjun quickly turned her around and covered her lips with his, cutting her in the middle of the sentence. Their kiss was gentle, pouring every emotion in it; their love, trust and pain. Arjun licked her bottom lip asking for entrance and guided his tongue inside her mouth. He pulled her closer to himself if that was even possible. He sucked on her tongue eliciting a moan from her.

Before things could get heated, he broke the kiss and rested his forehead against hers, both breathing heavily and eyes still closed. He spoke against her lips, "Aaj ke baad marne ki baat kabhi mat karna samjhi tum?"

She opened her eyes and smiled brightly at him. He kissed her dimple causing her to blush at the intensity of his emotions. Arjun gathered her in his arms and embraced her, his chest to her back.

"Apni aankhen band karo Riya."

"Arey but kyun?"

"Bharosa hai mujhpe?"

"Khud se bhi zyada."

"Then just do as I say.", he whispered.

She did as he asked and felt him kiss her head and trailing kissed down her neck. She tilted her head giving him full access to her skin. Sweet moans kept escaping her lips as he touched her soft-spot.

"Now open your eyes love."

Riya opened her eyes and it filled with tears immediately. In front of her was a very beautiful ring, held between his thumb and index-finger. Her heart just burst out with happiness and she covered her mouth in disbelief.

"Riya...ab zindagi sirf tumse shuru hai aur tum pe khatam. Bohot pyaar karta hoon main tumse. Itna ki ab tumhare bina ek pal bhi mujhse jiya nahi jaata. Iss dil ko dhadakna tumne sikhaya hai. Iss chehre ki muskaan sirf tumhari wajah se hai. Kya tum meri iss murjhayi hui zindagi ko fir se khilna sikhaogi? Will you marry me?"

Riya could only nod her head in a yes. Her voice seemed to have given up on her. A wide smile graced Arjun's face as he slid the ring into her ring finger and crushed her in a hug. Tears of happiness flowed from her eyes. Arjun wiped her tears and kissed her passionately.

"Aaj ke baad mujhe inn aankhon mein paani nahi dekhna."

Riya hugged him again. "I love you Arjun...so much."

Arjun kissed her forehead and smiled. "I love you too Riya."

"And we love you three." Arjun and Riya turned around to see the entire ETF standing there, some smiling through tears and some smiling proudly.

Shree teasingly spoke, "Bhai meri bhabhi toh bohot sundar hai. Ab toh aapko raaton mein jaagne ki aadat daal leni chahiye bhabhi. Bhai aapko ek pal ke liye bhi akela nahi chhodenge."

Riya blushed red and hid her face in Arjun's chest while Arjun laughed whole-heartedly. Sameer continued, "Kya yaar Arjun. Tujhe mujhse pehle ladki kaise mil gayi? Not fair."

Arjun teased him, "Dekh Sameer, main teri tarah fattu nahi ki ladki saamne ho aur main propose na karun.", while pointing towards Aisha. Aisha blushed and Sameer just glared at Arjun playfully.

The team came to the newly engaged couple and congratulated them. The night passed with the most important people of Arjun's life celebrating the most important night of his life together as a family.
