Chapter 9:After Riya left the conference room the atmosphere there was very tense. Ayesha was the first one to recollect herself and so she spoke up "Humne iye kya kardiya?"
Others who had gained themselves after hearing her thought the same.
Shree: "Humne Arjun Sir aur Riya pe bharosa na karke bohat galat kiya."
Chotu: "Woh toh humare liye apni jaan ki keemat dene ke liye bhi taiyar the."
Lisa: "Guys tum logo ko shayad pata nahi par main toh Arjun Sir ko bulaane jaati hu maine dekha hai unhe. Aisa lagta tha ki who bohat suffocation feel kar rahe hai."
Sakshi: "Riya toh bohut naraaz hai humse uss din ke baad se baat bhi nahi kar rahi hai. Aur Arjun, woh toh case ke waqt bhi saath nahi hota."
Sameer: "Tum logo ne wohi kiya jo tumhe dikha. Aur abhi jaise Arjun behave karta hai uss hisab se woh shayad galat bhi nahi. Par maine kya kiya? Main use janta tha ki woh kyu aisa ban gaya hai. Jante huye bhi uss ko galat thairata raha. Ek pal keliye bhi usska saath nahi diya. Maafi ki umeed karna bhi mere liye paap hai."
Sameer took a deep sigh after he ended. He knew he was wrong and wanted to rectify his mistakes if only he got a chance.
Ayesha who was sitting beside him held his hands gently and sqeezeed it assuring him everything will be fine with time.
Taking the queue Sakshi said "Sameer, galti sirf tumhari nahi hai. Hum sab uske gunhegar hai. Hum sabko pata hai Arjun bhalehi rude, arrogant banta firta ho par hum sabki bohat fikar karta hai par fir bhi humne... Galti humne ki hai toh use sudharenge hum hi."
As she said she looked at others. All agreed with her and decided to do something for their mistakes. They were talking about all this when Riya barged in.
Everyone turned to her. She looked tense and she was panting. By then everyone knew something was wrong and Sameer understood it was related to his friend Arjun.
His friend. He knew he didn't deserve a friend like him that too after the treatment he gave to Arjun. But still he came to save them risking his own life. Nowadays Arjun called him Sameer and he knew the reason very well.
He knew he could never become Sam for Arjun again but in a corner of his heart he wished he could. So Sam was out of question. Then came Rathore Arjun had developed a good relation with him also and believed that at least professionally Rathore would be by his side. But he broke his trust again.
Then finally comes Sameer. At the very beginning of their friendship Arjun had given him the name Sam saying if he called him Sameer there seemed to have some distance in there relation and there was no feeling of 'apnapan' there. But now he was Sameer for Arjun.
Sameer was thinking about these when his eyes went to Riya and he let go of his thoughts as of now and concentrated on her.
Riya said "Mujhe half day chahiye." As she said others stared at her and Shree took the risk of asking her "Sab thik haina Ri. Tu bohut pareshaan lag rahi hai. Kya huya hai, kuch toh bata? Kahi Arjun Sir ke saath toh kuch nahi huya na?"
Riya somehow managed to control the urge to punch him and shout at him. After what they heard in the morning they had the audacity to even ask such questions.
Without answering she glared at him. A glare which even Sameer was afraid of so one can imagine Shree's condition. Then she said "Nahi sab thik nahi hai. Aur kaise hoga?"
Now everyone was worried that what had happened and why is Riya talking like this. But then they heard her continue as if in a trance "Arjun ke saath mera kuch nahi huya hai. Par pata nahi woh kaise hai."
This was the thing everyone was worried off and Sameer was dreading this. Without thinking he just blurted out "Kya huya hai use? Woh kaha hai Riya? Tum jawab you nahi de rahi ho?"
And now not even God could save him from the wrath of the angry wounded lioness, Riya, who knew her love was not fine and the reason was in front of her.
She angrily marched up to Sameer and decided to finish everything once and for all "Aap chahte kya hai main aaj tak samaj nahi payi. Jabse aapko Arjun ke saath dekha hai kabhi nahi laga ki aap dono kabhi ache dost the balki lagta tha ki janmo ke dushman hai.
Aapne Arjun ki joining se lekar unke yaha kaam karne tak, sab chiz se problem thi, wajah toh mujhe samaj nahi aya, I hope aap jante ho. Aapne pahle kya kiya woh choriye par hum sabke saamne bhi Arjun ko accuse kiya, bura bhala sunaya, kyu?
Par maine Arjun ko aaj tak nahi dekha ki woh aapke ilzaamo ke khilaaf kuch bole. Pata hai kyu kyuki aap ki baatone itna gehra asar kiya ki woh khud bhi yahi mante hai.
Past ki baare choriye itne dino baad mujhe lagne laga tha ki aap saath kaam karna seekh gaye hai. Achche dost na sahi par achche colleagues aap dono ban hai. Par guess what you proved me wrong yet again.
Aur iss sab ke baad aap yeh concern mat dikhaiye trust me bohat fake lagta hai. Arjun kaisa hai aap janna chahte hai na? Toh suniye woh thik nahi hai bilcul thik nahi hai. Jo strong fearless policewala duty pe ata hai woh unki asliyat nahi hai.
Woh aj bhi wahi beta hai jo apni maa ko tho chuka hai. Jo apne baba ke pyaar ke liye tarsa hai. Jisse yeh yakeen dilaya gaya ki woh apne maa ke maut ka zimmedar hai.
Woh ab bhi wahi pati hai jiske liye unki dosti aur pyaar sabse aage rahta tha. Jisne apne pyaar ko jaate huye dekha aur apne best friend ka saath chutna saha. Unki jagah main kya pata nahi koyi aur hota toh abhi tak zinda bhi hota ya nahi. Par unhone haar nahi maani.
Par kab tak woh thik rahenge, sahne ki bhi hadh hoti hai. Aap toh haath dho ke unke peeche pare hue hai. Itna kisike maut ne unhe nahi tora jitna aapke baaton ne unhe tora. Unke man me beyhadh dar baith gaya hai ki woh chah kar bhi aage nahi bar pa rahe hai. Unhe lagta hai jo bhi unke saath rahega, ya jisse woh chahenge woh apni jaan se jayega.
Kuch aur baaki reh gaya unhe kehne se? Koi aur allegations hai toh woh bhi suna dijiye, jaisa chal raha hai agar chalte raha toh aaj nahi toh kal woh khud hi apni jaan le lenge. An khush ho jaiye. Aap kamiyab ho gaye, yahi chahte the na aap. You should go and celebrate now."
Sameer was looking down what else could he do. He knew he had given lots of pain to Arjun but never in his dreams he could imagine that it was to this extent. On the other hand Riya was glaring at him and she was sure that she saw tears in his eyes. But he needed to what damage he had done to Arjun and the truth is now his tears or sorrows didn't matter much to her she gave him a mocking smirk and left the office.
She sat in her car and took deep breaths to control her anger and after she was a bit calm she drove off to Arjun's place. She reached his house and saw there was no extra lock outside the door which confirmed he was at home. She ringed the bell a few times but there was no response.
Her mind drifted to various kinds of thoughts and she just hoped that Arjun didn't take any drastic step. Praying to God she took out the key which Arjun had given her. She opened the lock and peeped in. And what she saw there swept the ground beneath her.
