Hey guys I'm here with the prologue of my Ariya story, though the title hasn't been yet decided but i hope you will enjoy it.😛😊😊Prologue :Life is never predictable.It always surprises you and leads you to somewhere you haven't planned.Acp Arjun Suryakant Rawte.. Sakshi fluttered her eyes open on hearing her two friend's name en started roaming her eyes around frantically.

"Ayesha ? Riya? Vo dono kahan hai.?

"vo dono abhi tak hame mile nahi hai sakshi.

Tum batao kya hua tha yahan pe.?

Rathore asked her patiently,even though he was having a hard time in calming himself down.

Sakshi looked down recalling last night ,then looked up to them with fresh tears brimming in her eyes.

"vo kal raat jab mai apne ghar pahunchi tab pata chala ki Ayesha ke ghar ki keys galti se mere pass reh gayi thi,maine bas usse yahi inform karne ke liye call kiya tha.

2-4 rings ke baad jab Ayesha ne phone uthaya tab vo kahin bhaag rahi thi,maine usse pucha toh usne kaha ki vo aur Riya kisi bache ke piche bhaag rahe hain.

Phir achank mujhe Riya ki chilane ki awaz ayi aur phone cut hogaya.

Ayesha ne mujhe address bataya tha,issliye maine bina dair kiye yahan agayi.

Jab mai yahan pahunchi tab Riya aur Ayesha kuch logons se ladh rahe the ,jinke pass bahut sare bache the.

Kuch bache toh...

Sakshi trailed trying hard to hide her sob,when chhotu gave her the water bottle.

She gulped the water in a go composing herself a little ,then continued.

"kuch bache toh already mar chuke the.

Riya ne mujhse kaha ki mai bachon ko leke bhaag jaaun jab tak vo dono unn logon ko sambhal rahe the,per vo bahut sare log the aur Ayesha ke pair me goli lagi thi.

Mai bachon ko yahan se nikal hi rahi thi ki maine dekha unn logon me se ek ne Riya ke hath me vaar kiya ek knife se aur mai uski taraf bhaag hi rahi thi ki kisine mere sar pe kuch maara ,aur...

Aur uske baad mujhe kuch yaad nahi.

As she finished explaining ,she couldn't help but cried remembering the state of her two friends.

Everything fell silent as all seemed to be in deep thinking.

Chhotu,shree shared a look of shock among each other,Rathore raked his hand through his hair while Arjun looked down .

"tumne hame phone kyun nahi kiya uss waqt? Yahan aane se pehle agar hame phone kardeti toh itna sab kuch ni hota sakshi.

Rathore muttered frustrated.

"vo sab kuch itna jaldi jaldi hogaya ki aap sab ko call karne ka khayal hi nahi aya.

Sakshi replied,controlling her sob.

"ab Ri,aur Ayesha ko kaise dhundenge? Hamare pass toh ki clue bhi ni hai.

Shree sounded worried.

"kaun the vo log,itne sare bachon ke sath kya kar rahe the ? aurr jinhone bachon ko itni berehmi se maara hai kahin vo Riya,aur Ayesha ko...

Chhotu paused himself,then shook his head.

"nahi nahi .vo dono thik hi hongi.

shree,aur ambulance bulwao aur Liza ko bhi bula lo yahan ke sare evidence collect karne kel liye.aur tum yahan sakshi ke pass ruko hum pura ghar search karte hain.

Arjun breathed in a go getting up from the floor,followed by Rathore & chhotu.

"yes sir.

Shree nodded following his command and brought the mobile out of his pocket to call liza.

"ghar ke har corner me dhundo.ho sakta hai Riya aur Ayesha yahin kahin ho.

Rathore chirped walking towards another direction when Arjun,chhotu did the same.

After few mins of search rathore heard chhotu calling out both his & Arjun's name,hence he rushed to the backyard from where Chhotu's voice was coming through.

"kya hua chhotu.?

Arjun asked as soon as he reached near him.

"sir ye dekhiye.lagta hai jaise meeti khoda gaya hai kuch chhupane ke liye.

Ek nahi bahut sare hai yahan.

Chhotu showed them the ground ,when shree &sakshi too joined them.

"kuch khodne ke liye leke aao.

Rathore ordered him.

"yes sir.

Soon the digging started en to their dismay the team discovered more dead bodies of the kids from under the soil.

"rathore.

Arjun called out from the spot he was digging and within minutes all reached by his side.

"shit. Ayesha.?

Shree gasped seeing her under the soil laying unconscious ,with few injuries on her body.

Rathore bent over to hold her head,while Arjun,Chhotu pulled her leg out en put her over the ground.

"Ayesha.?

Rathore patted her cheek constantly ,but she didn't buzz.

"sameer,pair me goli lagne ki wajah se bhaut khoon nikal gaya hai,hame Ayesha ko jaldi hospital leke jaana chahiye.

Sakshi muttered in concern.

"sir ambulance bahar agayi hai.chaliye.

Shree informed him,thus Rathore nodded picking her up in his arms and rushed outside towards the ambulance.

Arjun and chhotu searched in the other digs and helped other kid's deadbodies to come outside.

"Team Ayesha ko hospital le gaye hain ,maine Sakshi ko uske sath bhej diya hai.

Uh...kya...

"Riya nahi mili .

Arjun spoke before Rathore could complete his question ,sounding dejected.

Rathore moved his eyes to Chhotu ,shree who looked hell worried ,tensed and top of all less confident.

"ek aur baar try karte hain.Ayesha yahan mili toh Riya bhi hogi for sure.

He said to lift up their confidence ,thus all nodded starting their search again.

"itne sare bache jnki age 5\6 ke andar hogi,aur itni buri tarike se unko maut diya gaya hai.upar se hamare officers ko aesi halath me pahunchane wale ko hum chhodenge nahi sir.bas ek baar Ri mil jaaye.

Shree muttered angrily,earning a nod from chhotu.

Arjun stopped at a point looking all over the backyard once again.no more place was left for digging still there was no sign of Riya around there.

Releasing a sharp breathe he took two steps back but was tripped backwards over the dig they had rescued Ayesha from;making him loose his balance.

He somehow rtegained his balance standing inside the dig,just when he felt something unusal.

"chhotu yahan aao.

"ji sir.?

Chhotu approached him qyuickly.

" iske niche kuch hai.yahan se meeti saaf karo.

"ok.mai karta hun.

After chhottu cleared some more soil from the dig ,they could easily saw a wooden cardboard kept there.

"gaddhe ke andar cardboard kyun rakha hai.?

Rathore muttered to himself and something stroke his & Arjun's mind at the same time ,thus both looked up to each other in shock.

"chhotu cardboard bahar nikalo.

Both chorused ,and without wasting time asided he cardboard only to find Riya under it with her hands tied in a rope.

"Riya.?

Rathore called out meanwhile Arjun & chhotu brought her out.

Once she was out of the dig all took a double take at her.

Her right forearm was injured en blood was still oozing out of her wound,with a cut on her forehead and she laid unconscious.

"shree,chhotu leke chalo Riya ko ambulance ke pass.rathore ordered.

"ji sir.

Shree picked up Riya and took her outside towards the ambulance accompanied by chhotu,when arjun seemed to be lost in some deep thought.

"itne bachon ki dead bodies dekh ke dimag kaam ni kar raha hai. Ye koi chil trafficking gang ka kaam hai,aur vo kaun hai ye toh Riya aur Ayesha ke hosh me an eke baad hi pata chalega.

Rathore muttered with a sigh,but Arjun left from there without uttering a single word.

Few hours later...

"doctor ,hamare 2 officers kaise hain abhi.?

Rathore asked to the doctor standing in the hospital lobby,along with his whole team.

"dono abhi thik hain.bas Miss Ayesha ka thoda zyada blood loss hua hai ,iski wajah se unhe kamjori ho sakti hai,baaki apke dono officers hosh me agaye hain aap log mil sakte hain.

The doctor replied.

"ok.thank you doctor.

it's alright.

Once after the doctor left all entered the room ,where Riya & Ayesha were resting on two different beds en they had their eyes closed until they heard commotions in the room,making them open their eyes.

"kaise ho dono.? "

Shree was the first to speak.

"thik hain i guess.

Ayesha replied meekly.

tum dono ne toh dara hi diya tha sabko.

Chhotu shook his head.

"uh..sakshi kahan hai?'

Riya roamed her eyes around.

"haan sakshi ni dikh rahi,vo thik hai na.?

Ayesha looked concerned.

"sakshi thik hai,vo bas dusre room me aram kar rahi hai.

Liza replied this time ,making the two girls sigh in relief.

"kya hua tha kal raat.?

Rathore asked straight looking at them blankly ;that made Ayesha wonder of what happened to him for a moment.

The girls fell silent all of a sudden ,then Riya looked up exhaling a sigh.

"vo sir,kal raat mai Ayesha ko uske ghar chhodne jaa rahi thi toh raaste mein traffic bahut tha,issliye humne shortcut le liya.

Sab thik tha per suddenly ek chhota bacha hamare gaadi ke samne agaya.

Humne gaadi se utarke dekha toh vo bahut roye jaa raha tha.

Pehle hame laga aas pass ke basti ka hoga jo raasta bhatak gaya hoga,per phir usne kaha ki vo akela nahi uske bahut dost fase hue hain wahan.

Hum usse puchne wale the ki vo suddenly beach ki taraf bhaagne laga aur hum bhi uske piche bhaage.

"hum bas kuch dur gaye hi the k hame ek aur bache ki laash dikhi ,issliye hum gaadi ke pass wapas aye aur apne guns leke gaye.

Hum uss bache ko dhund hi rahe the ki 2 admi hame dikhe jike pass guns thi,aur vo sayad ussi bache ko dhunbd rahe the.

Humne unn dono admi ka pichha kiya toh uss ghar ka pata chala,jahan pata nahi kitne sare bache the .charon taraf khoon hi khoon tha aur hamne bina dairi kiye unn logon pe attack kar diya bcon ko safe karne ke liye.

Ayesha finished in a go.

"humne unn sab k capture kar bhi liya tha per jaise hi hum bachon ko bahar lene ke liye nikle kuch aur log agaye aur sabne mil ke hum pe attack kiya.

Sakshhi tab tak wahan aachuki thi issliye Riya ne usse kaha bachon ko le jaane ke liye,per usse bhi ghayal kardiya unn logon ne.

Uske baad vo hame bhi kahin ghsitte hue le gaye aur uske baad kya hua yaad nahi.

"kaun the vo log? "

Arjun questioned breaking his long term silence.

"pata nahi sir, koi bahut purane gang mebers lag rahe the .unki baton se lag raha tha ki vo sare check post,rules ke bare me jaante hain jab vo bachon ko kahin dusre city me shift karne ki baat kar rahe the.

Came Riya's reply.

"tum dono unki sketches bana sakti ho.?

Chhotu enquired.

"sketches ki jarurat ni hai chhotu.

Riya shook her head.

"kyun.?

"kyunki jab vo log baat kar rahe the,tab unme se kisi ek ka phone mere pass pada hua tha ,aur maine usme video recording on karke wahan jo purne boxes the unke bich me rakh diya tha recording ke liye.

Sayad vo phone abhi bhi wahin ho.?

Riya murmured hopefully.

"good job Riya.

Liza showed her thumbs up ,to which she smiled a little.

"chalo phir hum ussi jagah chalte hain.agar mobile wahan mil gaya toh uss gang ko dhundna muskil ni hoga.

Rathore eyed his team.

Nodding their heads all started taking an exit ,when Ayesha's voice made them stop.

"ek min sir,hum bhi aate hain.

She tried to get up from the bed,but Rathore's curt voice stopped her.

"nahi Ayesha ,tum aur Riya aaram karo .doctor ne tum dono ko rest karne ke liye kaha hai.

Case baad me bhi join kar sakte ho.

"per sir...

Riya started ,only to be interrupted by Arjun this time.

"And this is an ORDER.

Arjun gave her a pointed look daring her to question him further ,hence she sighed in defeat.

Shree ,chhotu,liza passed sympathetic looks to their friends before following their chiefs ,who walked straight out of the hospital.

"ye kya? Ye sab toh hame yahin chhod ke chale gaye.sab wahan case solve karenge aur hum yahan kya karenge.?

Ayesha chided.

She expected a reply from Riya ,instead found her lost somewhere in thoughts.

"Riya? Kya hua?

Kya soch rahi ho.?

"mai soch rahi thi Ayesha ki unn baaki bachon ka kya hua hoga?

Pata ni kitne dino se bhooke the sab ,upar se sab ko chot lagi thi.

Itna koshis karne ke baad bhi hum unhe bahar ni nikal paaye.

Riya mumbled dejectedly.

"aur upar se humn unhe dhundne team ke sath jaa bhi ni sakte.rathore sir ne jo mana kar diya hai.

Ayesha added half heartedly.

"per Ayesha ,hum aese chup bhi toh ni baith sakte.hum iss case me jarur apni team ki help karenge ,vo bhi Rathore sir se chupake.

Riya chipped determinedly.

"per kaise.?

Ayesha's forehead creased in confusion.

"shree,aur chhotu ki help se.

Riya grinned,making Ayesha grin as well.

A day later...

"sir ,video zyada saaf ni hai kyunki room ke lights bahut dim the,per yahan toh 10 se zyada log dikh rahe hain.

Shree murmured while playing the clip ,recovered from the mobile Riya had hid among some boxes in the house.

Rathore & arjun scanned over the video again and again to find any clue,when arjun finally found out something.

"shree,stop.

"haan.

Shree did as per he was said.

"ab zoom karo.

"ok sir.

"isko kahim dekha hua lagta hai.

Arjun pointed at a man's blurred pic on the screen,thus others too watched the pic keenly.

"arey sir ye toh Hari hai.pocket maar ke case me bahut baar andar jaa chukka hai.pichle mahine hi maine isse andheri police station me dekha tha.

Chhotu clarified acknowledging the man.

"right.

Shree,iska biodata nikalo.

Arjun ordered.

"ye raha sir.

Andheri ka rehne wala hai,chhoti moti chori kiya karta hai.

Iske naam pe kaafi chori ke cases hai.

Shree read out from his data base,then looked up to others.

"andheri me mera ek khabri hai,usse kuch information mil sakta hai.per hume uske pass jaana padega.

Rathore spoke rubbing his jaw thoughtfully.

"thik hai phir chalte hain.

Arjun stood up from his chair ready to leave.

"umm sir ,aap log jaiye tab tak mai iss video se baaki sabko identify karke hamare purane data base se compare karke dekhta hun .kya pata koi purana criminal mil jaaye.?

Shree looked at his two chiefs hopefully.

"aur sir mai pata karta hun Mumbai me kitne bachon ki missing reports likhayi gayi hai.

Maybe koi clue mil jaaye.

Chhotu shrugged.

"okay.hamare wapas aane tak jitna hota hai reports ready rakho.

Rathore spoke standing up as well.

"ok sir.

Both Chhotu,Shree chorused in union;singhing in relief inwardly.

Rathore & Arjun reached near a colony ,parked he SUV and walked towards a roadside vendor who was making snacks.

"pakode dena.

Rathore asked the man,who turned to answer him but stopped on seeing who he was.

"uh..deta hun.

He silently turned around en resumed his work.

Once the other customers left ,rathore cleared his throat a bit.

"Hari.uske bare me information chahiye.

"sahab maine vo kaam karna chhod diya hai.aap kisi aur ko puch lijiye.

The vendor replied without turning to him.

"achha? Ye chhod diya hai toh apna daaru ka theka bhi band kardiya hoga tumne,hai na.? "

Rathore taunted.

"sahab kyun roji roti band karne me lage ho? Information dena ab khatre se khali nahi hai iss area me.

"aesa kyun.?

Arjun asked breaking his silence.

"vo aaj kal yahan gundon ka ana jaana badh gaya hai ,aese me agar unhe pata chala ki mai police ko information de raha hun ,toh meri kya halath karenge aap soch ni sakte.

The vendor mumbled in a low voice.

"25 se upar bachon ko already maar chuke hain jis gang me Hari hai.abhi bhi unke pass aur bahut bache hain,aur tumhe apni jaan ki padi hai.?

Jo kuch pata hai jaldi jaldi bolo ,time ni hai hamare pass.samjhe ya samjhaoon.?

Arjun narrowed his gaze ,causing the vendor to gulp.

"vo kuch din pehle mai jab dukan band kar raha tha tab ek mini van vo chawl ke pass ruka tha,jisme se kuch 10 log utre the,aur unme Hari bhi tha.

Unke pass 2/3 suitcases the,aur thode dare hue lag rahe the.

Aaj kal Hari ka rutwa badh gaya hai is area me,log darte hain usse baat karne ke liye.

Lag hi raha tha ki chori se aage badh ke kuch aur kar raha hai aaj kal.

The vendor explained.

"aaj dekha tha tumne usse.?

Rathore questioned.

"nahi.kal se dikha nahi yahan.

"aur uska ghar.?

Came arjun's quick question.

"chawl ke andar hai.jo zyada band rehta hai.

"thik hai.agar uske bare me kuch aur information mile toh mujhe call karna.

Rathore ordered ,then walked away from him along with Arjun.

"uske ghar search karte hain,kyunki ek yahi clue hai hamare pass.

Arjun suggested.

"mai bhi wohi soch raha tha.let's go.

Inside the chawl they asked some people about Hsri,before breaking through inside his room,only to find it empty except few minimum furniture and a small trunk.

Rathore rummaged through the trunk while Arjun scanned every other corner of the room en suddenly he stopped on noticing something.

"Rathore.

"kuch mila.?

Rathore approached him quickly.

"ye dekho kitne sare bachon ke photographs.lagta hai bachon ko uthane ka kaam Raghu ka hai.kuch bache toh ache khase ghar ke bhi lag rahe hain.

Arjun spoke eyeing the pics ,after bringing them out from the under of the bed.

"aur ye dekho mujhe kya mila.tickets.jagah jagah ki bus aur train ki tickets.

Iss kaam ke liye vo sirf ek hi nahi bahut jagah ghum raha hai.

Rathore showed him the tickets in his hand.

"ye sab le chalte hain.

Arjun collected all the photos ,en Rathore did the same before heading for bureau.

"chhotu , railway police aur local police stations me hari ki photo circulate kardo .jahan bhi vo dikhe usse pakad le.

Rathore commanded as soon as he entered the conference room ,to which chhotu nodded his head.

"ok sir.

"shree kuch aur pata chala uss video se.?

Arjun asked taking his seat.

"haan sir,ye 5 aur log identify hue hain video me se.

First hai- Ali ahemad- college ka student hai,aur ek baar jail jaa chukka hai drug dealing case me.abhi toh farar hai,humne iski address pe puchtach ki thi.

2nd-Munna-local gangster hai,ek mahine pehle hi jail se aya hai aur chhupta phir raha hai kyunki kuch local mafia isse maarna chahte hain.

3rd-shakil ,ye Munna ke sath rehke kaam karta hai.iski sirf ek behen hai family ke naam pe,jinko maine bulaya hai bureau me 1 hr ke baad.

4th- jatin.iske naam pe bahut sare kidnapping cases hai.uska bhai MLA hai aur iss baat ka faida uthake ye illegal kaam karta hai.dono bhai partnership pe crimes karte hain .

uske bhai ke sare mobiles tracking pe rakha hai sir,aur kuch khabri personally uspe najar rakh rahe hain.

5th- Saman . engineering graduate hai ,phir bhi job na milne ki wajah se drug deal karta hai.hamare record me bhi iska naam hai.maine iske parents ko bhi bulaya hai 1 hr ke baad.

Shree breathed in a go.

"aur sir,ye rahe pichle 2 mahino se city se gayab hue kuch bachon ki missing reports.

Inme se adhe se zyada basti,ya chawl ya roadside families se belong karte hain.

Kuch colony ke bache bhi hain.

Ye sab school se lautte waqt,bahar khelte waqt aur kuch adhi raat ko gayab hue hain.

Zyada cases toh Andheri se hi hai.

Chhotu explained showing them some sheets.

"ye sari information tum dono ne itni jaldi collect karli.?

Arjun asked in amusement.

"good job shree & Chhotu.

Rathore gave them an impressive smile ,thus Chhotu & shree smiled awkwardly at them.

Two days passed...

Rathore kept an eye on Ayesha ,Riya in the hospital en sent Sakshi to her home for bed rest ,while other emerged themselves to reach up to the culprits by following each and every clue they got.

"team hurry up.hame jald se jald vo goudown me pahunchna hai jiski baat Jatin apne bhai se kar raha tha.i'm sure baaki sab bhi hume wahin milenge.

Shree,tumhe pakka khabar hai ki uss goudown me bache hain.?

Rathore looked at shree,to ensure his doubt.

"ha..haan sir.

Mai jatin ke bhai ki property list check kar raha tha,aur usme ye goudown ka naam mention tha.

MLA banne se pehle uski khudki ek sugar factory thi,jo usne power me an eke baad band kardi.per 2 din se wahan ke pass wale hotel se khana order kiya jaa raha hai,aur uss delivery boy ne address goudown ka hi bataya.usne ye bhi bataya ki usse bachon ki rone ki awaz bhi sunai di thi,per usse wahan dhamkaya gaya issliye vo chup raha.

Shree informed.

"lekin tumhe ye information mili kaise .? tum toh wahan gaye nahi the.?

Arjun raised his brow.

"vo..vo sir umm..chhotu.

Shree blurted out ,causing chhotu's eyes to widen that instant.

"chhotu tum gaye the.?

Rathore asked this time.

"mai? Haan..nahi sir.maine ek khabri ko bheja tha,vo mai jaata toh sayad unhe doubt ho jaata issliye.umm..hame abhi chalna chahiye sir isse pehle ki vo wahan se bhi kahin bhaag jaaaye.

Chhotu said in a convincing voice.

"hmm.let's go.

Rathore nodded.

Chhotu,shree walked away towards the exit hurriedly ,when Arjun kept watching their retreating figure intently then stopped rathore on the mid way.

"kya hua.?

Rathore questioned him confusingly.

"mujhe lag raha hai Rathore ki kuch chhut raha hai.

Arjun answered thoughtfully.

"kya chhut raha hai.?

"pata nahi.per i'm sure kuch chal raha hai jiske bare me hame nahi pata.

"c'mon Rawte tumhari gol gol baton ki adat ho gayi hai iska matlab ye nahi ki mujhe har baar ye tolerate karna padega.

Hamare 2 officers hospital me hai,1 bed rest pe hai, aur yahan case bhi kuch kam complicated nahi hai jo upar se tum agaye.

Saaf saaf batao kya baat hai.?

Rathore chided.

"tumhare pass hospital ka number hai na? Wahan call karo.

"what.? Ab tumhe hospital kyun call karna...

"just do it Rathore.

"fine.per baat kya karni hai.?

"unse pucho Ayesha,Riya kahan hai.

Rathore gave an incredulous look to Arjun on his reply ,but nevertheless dialled the hospital's number.

"hello.yeah ,ACP Sameer Rathore here.actually hamre 2 officers wahan admit hain.

Yeah wohi dono.kya aap bata sakta hain abhi vo kahan hain.?

Rathore cut the call in few mins and looked up to Arjun narrowing his gaze.

"apne room me so rahe hain dono.anything else.?

Arjun didn't reply him anything ,instead wore his goggle en walked out leaving an infuriated rathore behind.

"arey Yaar ye Ayesha aur Riya mar wayengi hame.mujhe na lagta hai ki Arjun sir ko hum pe doubt ho gaya hai.

Shree cringed getting inside the SUV.

"oye subh subh bol.agar aesa hua na toh hum dono ko Rathore sir aur Arjun sir shoot kar denge.

Chhotu shook his head.

"mere subh bolne se kya hoga? Tumne dekha nahi Arjun sir kaise sawal puch rahe the?

Maine pehle hi kaha tha ye risky hai,per nahi mera koi sunta hi nahi hai.

"abhi chhod.jo hogaya vo hogaya.unn dono ko bolde aram karein aur hum vo goudown jaa rahe hain.

"haan.mai message kar deta hun.

Shree was about to type the message when Rathore & Arjun entered the SUV taking their seats at the front & both Chhotu ,Shree gulped.

"kya hua.?

Rathore questioned seeing their tensed figure.

"kuch nahi sir.

The duo murmured in unison looking down.

Within half an hour the SUV stopped near the goudown only to be welcomed by firing.

Coming out of the SUV they managed to hid behind it en fired back at some of them,and the session started.

"inko sayad hamare aane ki khabar hogayi thi.

Chhotu murmured.

"aesa lag raha hai jaise pehle se hi firing ho raha tha.

Shree piped in.

"team andar jaane ki koshis karte hain and be careful.
rathore muttered eyeing them.

All nodded en started entering in dodging few bullets on th e way.

On getting inside Arjun kicked a man who was trying to shoot him,while Rathore,Shree,chhotu took their respective charges.

Chhotu twisted a goons hand who has ready to attack rathore from back,meanwhile Arjun stood mum near a corner on hearing some footsteps approaching him from the opposite direction but as soon as he walked to the front pointing his gun at the suspect,he became surprised.

"Ayesha.?

Ayesha's eyes widened on finding arjun in front of her,en before she could reply he asided her shooting a goon at her back.

There shree was advancing towards a room when he almost collided with someone making him fall backwards.

"ow.

He winced ,looking up to the person but the next moment his mouth fell open.

"RI? Tu yahan kya kar rahi hai? Oh my god tu hospital me nahi thi kya.? Arey yaar maine tujhe message bhi kiya than a? Aur Ayesha kahan hai.?

Shree blabbered quickly standing up on his feet.

"haan Shree tumne message kiya tha ,per tab tak hum already yahan aachuke the.aur Ayesha bhi yahin kahin hogi.

Riya replied hurriedly.

" hum aaj pakka marne wale hain.

Ek..ek kaam kart u aur Ayesha yahan se chale jao isse pehle ki arjun sir aur Rathore sir tumhe dekhein.

"kya? Per kaise...

"shree.?

Rathore's voice echoed through the hall en within secs he approached him towards the room.

"Riya.?

Shree gulped on hearing Rathore's confused voice,whereas Chhotu too reached there eyeing them in horror.

"Tum yahan.?

Tum yahan kaise aayi?

Tum aur Ayesha toh hos...

Rathore paused himself on suddenly realizing something ,then looked up sternly .

"Tum yahan ho toh Ayesha kahan hai.?

"vo sir..

Before Riya could complete Arjun's voice interrupted her.

"yahan.

All heads were turned to the entrance only to witness Arjun entering in followed by a limping Ayesha ,since she hadn't recovered from her previous injury.

"what the hell is happening here? Tum dono yahan kya kar rahe ho.?

Rathore roared angrily,while the two girls stood lowering their heads.

Just then all heard some commotion from a near by room making them alert en they held up their respective guns.

"sir,hamare yahan aane tak vo log bachon ko leke bhaag gaye the,per unka ek khaas admi abhi bhi andar hai.vo hame bata sakta hai ki bachon ko kahan leke gaye hain.

Riya informed them.

"this matter is not closed here. We will discuss it in bureau but for now let's finish the case first.

Rathore muttred en all broke inside the room .

"mere pass mat ana.

A guy in his early 40 shouted from inside the room who had a gun in his hand pointing at the ETF.

"darane ki jarurat ni hai.tu ek goli chala aur 6 tujhe return me milenge.

Rathore challenged him taking a step forward along with others.

"mai keh raha hun mere pass mat ana.

The guy tried to threaten them,but gulped seeing none of them backing off.

Being sure tto be caught he dropped the gun en swallowed something that was inside his ring and fell down that instant.

The whole team rushed to him while rathore patted his cheek.

"hame isse jald se jald hospital le jaana padega.

"nahi Rathore mujhe ni lagta hospital pahunchne tak ye bachega.

Arjun shook his head.

"ae tera leader kaun hai? Bache kahan hai.?

Rathore asked the guy who was struggling to breathe.

The guy blinked inhaling,releasing deep breaths then muttered one word before closing his eyes.

"Jodhpur.

The team absorbed his word then watched him stopping breathing before he laid dead.

"Damn it.

Rathore roared standing up while others fell in to silence .

ETF Office...

"irresponsibility ki bhi had hoti hai .

Tum dono ko maine order diya tha hospital me rehne ke liye ,per nahi tum log suno tab na.

Aur toh aur doctor se bhi jhuth bulwaya.

Mai janna chahta hun aesa kaunsa important kaam tha jo tum dono ne mere orders ko ignore kar diya.

Rathore roared angrily leaning both of his hands on the glass table.

The two girls kept mum lowering their heads ,while Arjun spoke up.

"sirf vo dono hi nahi rathore,chhotu aur Shree ko bhi toh sab kuch pata tha.

Rathore angled his head to shree,chhotu this time en now it was their turn to lower their heads.

"unbelievable. ETF officers ho tum sab,atleast discipline toh maintain kar sakte ho.

"sorry sir aapke orders follow na karne ke liye.

Humne jabse vo bachon ko dekha tha tabse wohi sab dimag me reh gaya tha.

Vo bache kab milenge ,kaise milenge wohi sab soch soch ke humne iss case me interfere kiya.

Ayesha murmured in a low voice.

"vo jo bhi ho per tum dono ko akele wahan jaana ni chahiye tha.pehle uss raat akele chale gaye aur ab ye.

Arjun chirped straight.

On hearing him Riya uppered her lashes to say him something ,but Arjun was fast enough to beat her to it.

"Haan Pata hai women empowerment.
Per yahan ke chief hone ke naate sabki safety ki zimmedari hum dono ki hai.
Samjhe ya samjhaun.? "

Riya nodded sighing, when Arjun got up from his seat ready to leave.

"OK. Kal Subah hum jodhpur ke liye nikal rahe hain, maine wahan officers ko inform kardiya hai.
Vo log Kuch na Kuch information ready rakhenge hamare pahunchne tak.

So get ready and reach here on time. Understood.? "

Rathore narrowed his gaze at his team.

"umm.. Sir, kya hum arahe hain aap sabke sath.? "

Riya bit her bottom lip looking at him hopefully, causing Rathore to give her a look of disbelief.

"vo bas mai confirm kar rahi thi. "

She quickly added lowering her lashes.

"ye Ri toh gayi. "

Shree shook his head.

Rathore exchanged a look with Arjun, before looking inbetween Ayesha and Riya en then sighed.

"okay. Tum dono aasakti ho. Nahi toh Pata chala hamare piche piche tum dono bhi wahan pahunch gayi.
But ye first and last galti maaf kar raha hun tum logon ki. "

As soon as his words finished both of the girls looked up with smile playing on their lips, along with their two other friends.

So sorry guys for the late update... You know when you have a job to handle then your past time hobby becomes too difficult to fulfill. Still I'm trying.. So now enjoy.!!!!!

The Wait

Part - 7

"Arjun sir ne bataya nahi ki vo Riya se milne aarahe hain." Shree murmured, still hiding behind the wall.

"Arey samjha kar, sir ko kabhi ye dikhana pasand ni ki vo kisi ki care karte hain, issliye sayad akele yahan aagaye."

Chhotu reasoned, to which Shree nodded his head in agreement.

"dekhte hai sir kya karte hain."

Both peeked through the wall, watching Arjun talking to the doctor, then went inside Riya's cabin.

After few minutes Arjun came out, thus Chhotu, Shree turned to the other side so that he wouldn't see them.

Once Arjun was gone both sighed in relief, when Shree's gaze fell on the doctor he was talking to few mins ago.

"excuse me doctor."

Shree called out approaching the doctor quickly.

"yes.?"

The doctor stopped on his way, and stood facing them.

"Umm abhi thodi dair pehle Jo aapke sath yahan baat Kar rahe the, kya aap bata sakte hain ki vo kis baare me baat Kar rahe the.?" Shree asked.

"Kaun ACP Arjun.?"

The doctor raised his brow.

"ji haan Wohi. Actually vo hamare sir hain, aur humne unhe yahan pehli baar dekha issliye Puch rahe hain."

Chhotu replied.

"pehli baar? Ji nahi ACP Arjun toh yahan Kai baar aa chuke hain." the doctor shrugged nonchalantly, thus both chhotu and Shree's mouth fell open.

"kya.?"

"Haan. Unke ek officer admit hai na yahan, toh Acp Arjun unse milne aate hain, aur Jo bhi doctor duty me hote hain unse apne officer ki health progress Puch ke jaate hain."

" aap ACP ARJUN SURYAKANT RAWTE ji ki hi baat Kar rahe hain na.?"

Shree eyed the doctor strangely.

" ji haan mai unhi ke baare me baat Kar raha hun. "

The doctor confirmed, looking at them confusingly.

" oh. Thank you doctor. "

Chhotu smiled and the doctor left from there.

" yaar yakin ni hua ye doctor ne Jo kuch bhi kaha abhi."

Shree mumbled in a daze.

"Sir ka ye side toh hum pehli baar dekh rahe hain."

Chhotu added amusingly, then looked at Shree who was still in some deep thought.

"kya soch raha hai.?"

"kuch nahi mai bas soch raha tha ki Arjun sir me kuch dino se kuch changes najar aarahe hain, nahi.? Specially jab se Ri wapas mili hai. Ab ye mera wehem hai ya sach, Vo toh waqt aane pe pata chalega."

"Haan."

Chhotu agreed with him, then both went inside Riya's cabin to meet her as always.

Few days rolled by...

An old couple were murdered in their own flat which was in a well-named society, and being a shock and a question mark on senior citizen's safety the case was in ETF's hand ;hence Sameer Rathore called out for his team early morning.

Being called for duty all reached on the crime spot on time, and started gathering initial information from the neighbors, the building watchman, and the maid of the apartment who had found the dead bodies first.

"ye Mr Patel apni patni ke sath yahan akele rehte the. I mean unke bache.?" Sakshi asked to a neighbor.

"ji unka ek beta hai Jo shadi ke baad America me rehta hai. Maine usse Kal kiya tha Subah, Vo Wahan se yahan aane ke liye nikal chuka hai."

The lady replied.

"Thik hai jab vo aaye toh unse Kehna ki ETF office me report kare."

Sakshi said.

"ji thik hai." the lady nodded.

"kaise secretary hain aap? Itni badi society aur security ke liye ek bhi cctv camera nahi? Itni irresponsibility.?"

Rathore warned, hence the man nodded fearfully.

Rathore chided on the man, standing with his head hanging low.

"nahi sir building me cctv camera tha, per vo kuch mahine pehle kharab hogaya tha? Pehle aesa kuch society me hua ni tha, issliye maine socha cctv ka rehne deta hun."

The secretary replied in a low voice.

"pehle kuch hua nahi tha, per iss baar hua hai, aur vo bhi 2 murder. Society me sabko bol dijiye ki hamari izzazat ke bina koi bhi city se bahar na jaaye, warna aapki security khatre me aajayegi."

Rathore warned, hence the man nodded fearfully.

There Arjun was searching inside the apartment along with Chhotu, whereas Ayesha was examining the dead bodies closely and Shree clicked pictures of the crime spot.

All murmured, just when Arjun's phone rang.

"Hello."

He received the call, focusing his eyes on the road while driving.

"what.?"

All in the SUV heard him muttering him almost in shock and Arjun applied a sudden break to the vehicle.

"Hum abhi pahunchte hain."

All he said before disconnecting the call, en accelerated the SUV again.

"kya hua.?"

Rathore asked breaking the silence.

No answer.

"kya hua Arjun? Tum suddenly tensed kyun hogaye.?"

Sakshi pressed further.

Still no answer.

"ab bataoge bhi? Sab tumhare jawab ka intezar kar rahe hain." Rathore snorted.

"Hame abhi hospital jaana padega."

Arjun said in a low voice, that made all instantly alert.

"hospital? Sir sab thik toh hai.?" chhotu asked, slightly worried.

"Sir boliye na, Riya thik hai na.?"

This time Ayesha questioned, looking hopefully at Arjun still got no reply.

"guys abhi jawab dene ka time nahi hai, hame bas jald se jald Wahan pahunchna hai."

Arjun spoke after a while, thus everyone's face fell assuming various reasons for why they were called to the hospital so urgently.

The moment the SUV stopped near the hospital, no one did waste time and ran inside the hospital premises, bumping with various people on their way but they could care less about it.

After all they were humans, apart from officers.

Already knowing where Riya's cabin was, they scooted to the second floor by the stairs as the lift was engaged and they were too much in hurry to wait.

Arjun haltered his speed just few steps away from her cabin, and let others go inside first then followed them with slow steps.

Shree, chhotu, Ayesha, Sakshi, Rathore barged inside Riya's cabin, with worried lines clearly visible on their respective forehead,while Arjun stood near the doorstep calmly.

"doctor kya hua aapne hame..."

Rathore suddenly paused himself from completing his own words, as soon as the doctor turned around revealing the bed to them.

The whole ETF team were huffing a little for breathe as a result of running and worry, when they met with a pair of dark brown eyes blinking at them, that left all in daze.

There was something in the moment that no one could speak a single word still their eyes were filled with happiness, pride and satisfaction.

Sakshi blinked craning her neck to Ayesha, who was now watching other's reactions, but rest of the team was yet to come out of the daze.

Arjun stared at the girl laying on the bed, blinking at each of them slowly.

Everything seemed to be same about her like before, excet- he doesn't think of her as weak and incapable ; only if he could spell it but his fear of getting attached made him shut his mouth.

"last minute me sabko shock dene ki aadat jaayegi ni tumhari. Hai na.?"

Rathore mocked, looking at him.

"NAHI."

Arjun replied straight looking back at him, then turned his head to Riya.

Rathore being in a happy mood ignored his blunt reply and focused on the current scene in front of him.

Chhotu rushed towards the bed and engulfed Riya in a hug, already sobbing meanwhile Shree getting no space bent over chhotu in order to complete the group hug.

"Chhotu, Shree kya kar rahe ho? Chhodo Riya ko, usse saans lene do."

Rathore said, thus the duo slowly detached themselves from her.

"Shree mujhe pinch kar na, yakeen ni horaha hai ki hamari Riya wapas aagayi."

"Aap log kaun hai.?"

Riya spoke in a low voice for the first time in the room, eyeing them confusingly, which made the duo's smile slip from their lips and so of the two girls standing beside them.

Rathore and Arjun's forehead screeched, as they looked in between Riya and the doctor, trying to gauge what was happening but then Riya's lips broke in to a smile at Chhotu, Shree's blank faces, flashing her dimple in that way.

"shakal dekho dono apni apni."

She still sounded weak, low yet it was enough for everyone's relief.

"Tu.. Tu mazaq kar rahi thi.?"

Shree fumbled with words, unsurely .

"Mai kabse yahan bore ho rahi thi, toh socha doctor ke sath mazaq Karungi toh kahin vo mujhe ek aur injection na laga de, issliye tum dono ke sath karliya."

Riya replied chuckling.

"kya Ri tune toh dara hi diya. Pehle jitna daraya kaafi ni tha kya.?" Shree complained.

"chhod na Shree, aaj iski saari galti maaf. Vo hamare sath mazaq ni karegi toh kiske sath karegi.?"

Chhotu took her side.

"kya tum dono ek side me ho gaye aur mera kya.?"

Shree whined, thus chhotu, Riya grinned at each other.

"guys ab tak toh Riya ke thik hone ka wait kar rahe the, aur ab vo thik hogayi hai toh ladh rahe ho? vo bhi hospital me." Sakshi said eyeing the doctor behind them, who only passed a smile at all.

"it's ok. I can understand. You guys take your time, we will talk later."

The doctor excused himself from the cabin, just when Riya's gaze fell on Ayesha, Sakshi confused of who they were.

"Riya ye Ayesha - encounter specialist, aur ye Sakshi - ex crime reporter hai. Dono ne kuch mahino pehle hi ETF join kiya hai. Ek aur member bhi hai Liza- forensic expert, Vo abhi lab me hai toh tumse milne baad me aayegi."

Rathore said clearing her confusion.

" HI. "

Both Ayesha, Sakshi waved their hands at her, and Riya smiled at them warmly.

" pata hai Riya tum kitni lucky ho? Yahan 4 officers tumhare thik hone ki beshabri se intezar kar rahe the. "

Sakshi smiled broadly, hence Riya moved her eyes to her teammates looking at each of them gratefully.

"Kaise hain aap sab.?"

Shree, chhotu just smiled at her, when Rathore walked up to her bed.

"ye sawal hame tumse puchna chahiye Riya. Kaisi ho tum.? "

"Thik hun sir. Bas afsos iss baat ka hai ki itna waqt kaise gujar gaya pata ni Chala. Doctor ne bataya mujhe sab Kuch , per aesa lag raha hai ki Jaise ye Kal ki hi baat hai.

Jaise Kal hi lag raha tha ki mai wapas aap sabko kabhi dekh ni paaungi."

Riya sighed deeply.

" Toh tum ye Kal ki baat maan ke Chalo Riya, Kuch ni badla hai inn 6 mahino me.

Jo kuch bhi hua usse ek bura waqt maan ke bhul jao, aur ab ye socho ki tumhe ek nayi zindegi mili hai, aur Usme tumhe bahut kuch karna hai. Thik hai.? "

Rathore patted her head a little, that made Ayesha smile watching him like this.

Riya nodded her head, then moved her eyes to someone who was silent among all till now, perhaps unwilling to make his presence known like always.

" aap kaise hain Arjun sir.?"

Arjun was caught off guard and slightly taken back by her question, but nevertheless nodded.

"Mai thik hun Riya."

And she smiled at him, just like the old days without blinking her lashes from him.

Part-10

Arjun doesn't believe this girl. One moment she swallowed a life ending bacteria and slipped in to coma for months, another moment she is wiping the invisible bacteria around a glass with so much concentration ;as if her whole life depends on it.

Shaking his head he waited for her to finish her job, when Riya finally being satisfied gulped down the glass of water.

As much as she was internally happy that Arjun came to meet her that too without any ETF officer behind him, but she knew there must be some reason.

"Umm.. Sir aap yahan.? Matlab kuch kaam tha aapko.?"

"Haan Riya, mujhe tumse ek Jaruri kaam hai." he replied in a serious tone.

"Haan toh sir kahiye.err.. Aap please pehle baith jaiye."

"Riya kya tum major buxi ko jaanti ho.?"

Arjun asked sitting on a small table beside the bed,en looked at her intently.

"major buxi.?" she looked confused and tried to remember who he was talking about, when Arjun took his phone out of his shirt pocket and showed her a picture.

"ye hai Major buxi, ek ex-army officer. Inke details se mujhe pata Chala ki ye 1.5 saal Delhi ke research bureau me tha, Jahan tumne apni training li thi, right? Kuch yaad hai inke baare me.?"

Riya looked at the photo carefully, then opened her mouth few seconds later.

" Haan sir inhe toh mai jaanti hun. Hamari training batch ki ye head reh chuke hain.per aap inke baare me kyun Puch rahe hain.? "

" Riya abhi ye jail me hain. "Arjun sighed.

" jail me.? "

Riya exclaimed in shock.

" Haan. Inpe apne neighbor ke ek 6 saal ki bachi ka khoon ka ilzam hai aur inhone khud surrender bhi kiya tha... "

Arjun explained the whole story to her, which she listened attentively and was visibly preplaxed .

"Sir mujhe pata hai major buxi ko anger problems hain, per vo kisika murder ni kar sakte."

"Riya, tum thoda bahut unhe jaanti hi ho, issliye mujhe tumhare pass jitne bhi information hai sab chahiye."

Riya seemed to be thinking something for a while before her eyes sparkled.

"Sir, jab hum research bureau me the tab hum Sabko ek mail id diya gaya tha, jisme hum khud kuch bhi research karke store kar sakte the aur baad me hum friends vo research ko ek dusre me share bhi karte the.

Aese hi meri ek friend thi Neha, jisne Major buxi pe research karke file ready ki thi, Usme kaafi kuch information hai.

Uski ek copy mere pass bhi hai, per uske liye mujhe abhi laptop chahiye. "

" laptop.? "

" mai abhi aata hun. "Arjun got up from his seat and left the room hurriedly, whereas Riya waited for him to return patiently.

Few minutes later Arjun came back with a laptop in his hand and handed it to her.

Riya quickly started working on it, while Arjun sat beside her all the time silently.

"ye lijiye sir hogaya. Aapko bas iska printout nikalna hai."

She said after few minutes.

"ok. Mai nikal dunga."

He stood up taking the laptop from her.

"thank you Riya."

A small smile appeared on her lips, as she spoke.

"thank you toh mujhe aapse Kehna chahiye sir."

He looked puzzled but however waited for her to explain.

"vo.. Yahan hospital me rehte rehte mai bahut bore ho jaati hun. Aaj achha laga atleast itne dino baad mai koi case me aapki help kar paa rahi hun.Issliye thank you sir. "

She smiled at him.

"Riya, agar tumhe lagta hai ki yahan rehke tum apna duty ni kar rahi ho, toh tum galat ho. Duty sirf field pe jaane se ni hota, uske liye bahut himmat chahiye, Jo tum me hai."

Arjun said truthfully, that made her look at him in astonishment.

'was he the same Arjun sir, who used to say she wasn't capable of being an ETF officer.?'

The thought rose in her mind, but before she could think more Arjun's voice brought her back to the earth.

"abhi mai chalta hun Riya."

He turned to leave,only to be stopped by her.

"ek min sir, err.. Mai isse wash karke dedungi."

She eyed his hanky in her hand, then upto him.

"uski zarurat ni hai. Keep it."

And he walked away, straight for the ETF office, to resume the case.

ETF OFFICE...

"YE Arjun sir ko gaye hue bahut waqt hogaya nahi? Gusse me ghar chale gaye kya.?"

Chhotu muttered in a low voice, rearranging few papers of the file in his hand.

"nahi. Arjun aese hi koi baat ko jaane de, ye toh ho ni sakta. Jarur vo case ko reopen karne ke baare me soch raha hoga." Sakshi murmured thoughtfully.

"kya lagta hai, case reopen hoga.?" Shree too joined them.

"jo case pehle se hi solved hai usse reopen karne ka kya faida.?"

Rathore interrupted them curtly, causing the trio to jump a little on their respective seats in fear, when another voice roared in the conference hall.

"Aur agar case solve ni hua hoga toh.?"

Rathore furrowed his brows to glare at Arjun's direction, who just came walking in his evergreen Rawte style,;whereas others geared up themselves for the upcoming drama between their two chiefs.

"tum phir wohi baat leke baith gaye Rawte? Mujhe laga bahar gaye ho, toh tumhare dimag se uska bhoot nikal jaayega."

"dusron ke liye insaaf ki khoj karne wale itni jaldi haar mana ni karte Rathore... SIR."

"I hope tum sirf apni ye baaton se case reopen ni karwaoge."

"tum mujhe itna toh jaante hoge ki mai saboot ke bina koi baat ni karta." Arjun retorted back.

"matlab sir aapko saboot mil gaya.?" Ayesha interrupted the duo curiously.

"saboot kahin bahar se ni mila Ayesha. Hum pehle thoda dhyan dete toh mil jata."

All looked at him confusingly, including Rathore, while Arjun leaned both of his palms on the glass table.

"samjhata hun. Shree, tumne mujhe Jo Major buxi ki details diya tha vo dikhao."

"ek min sir."

Shree quickly typed few words in his lappy and the details appeared on the projection screen.

"major buxi pe Jo 6 saal ki bachi ki murder ka charge laga hai, Usme weapon kya tha.?"

Arjun asked to no one particular eyeing the screen intently.

"Sir unki personal pistol."

Chhotu replied.

"right. Ab ye padho."

Arjun took a piece of paper out from the file he had brought with himself and forwarded it to Chhotu.

A curious and confused Chhotu read the piece of paper then looked up to Arjun, shocked this time.

Rathore took the paper from him and started analyzing it, wondering what could be in it.

"kya likha hai Usme.?" Shree questioned, looking at Chhotu.

"Usme likha hai ki major buxi ki vo pistol 2 saal pehle chori hogaya tha,ye uski FIR copy hai."

"chori hogaya tha? Toh hosakta hai unhe vo pistol wapas mil gaya ho.?" Ayesha narrowed her gaze.

"nahi Ayesha maine pata kiya hai ki Major buxi ko unki vo pistol wapas ni mili thi." Arjun pointed out.

"agar pistol chori hogaya tha toh ye baat Major buxi ne police ko kyun ni kaha.?" Shree looked puzzled.

"ho sakta hai unhone Jhuthi report likh wayi ho pistol chori hone ki.?"

This time Sakshi made the point, which caused Arjun to look at her incredulously.

"Really Sakshi? Aur aesa koi kyun karega? Police se bachne ke liye? Lekin vo toh abhi bhi jail me ho hai. Aur FIR 2 saal purani hai, toh kya Major buxi 2 saal se ek 6 saal ki bachi ka murder plan kar rahe the.?"

Sakshi sat speechless at his mocking tone, while Ayesha felt a little bad for her.

" Per Rawte ye research bureau ki report hai, tumhare pass kaise aaya.? Unke matters confidential rehti hai, toh tumne ye file kaise ready kiya.? "

Rathore broke his long term silence.

"ye file maine nahi Riya ne ready kiya hai."

As soon as Arjun finished his words, all eyes were shot up to him.

"Tum Riya se milne gaye the.?" Sakshi voiced out everyone's confusion.

"Point ye ni hai ki mai kisse milne gaya tha, point ye hai ki ye case jitna simple dikh raha tha utna hai nahi."

Arjun declared, then eyed Rathore intently.

"itna kaafi hai ya aur samjhana padega.?"

Rathore sighed frustratedly casting a glare glare at Arjun, before moving his eyes to his teammates.

"Ayesha, Chhotu tum dono major buxi ke neighbors se Puch tach Karo."

"Shree major buxi ke sare Purane records nikalo. Unki family, rivals sabke details chahiye mujhe."

"aur Sakshi, tum ye file achhe se study Karo aur vo 6 saal ki bachi ki forensic reports collect karke Liza ke pass bhej do."

"yes sir."

All nodded in union.

"Mai aur..."

Rathore lifted his lashes up to Arjun.

"Rawte, major buxi se milke aate hain."

Arjun straightened himself wearing his goggle and exited the hall along with Rathore.

Laying on the hospital cot Riya sighed outta boredom, en eyed the magazine in her hand pointlessly.

Day by day though her health was improving, but she was getting impatient to go out of that room and to live her life like before.

The thought that she was resting here day and night whereas her friends were working hard on cases, were making her feel miserable sometimes.

Speaking of friends she hadn't properly met anyone from the last two weeks, after Arjun visited her to the hospital.

She wasn't angry, knowing Major Buxi's case was getting tougher and needless to say no ETF member will breath in peace until they will find the real culprit.

However Shree, Chhotu managed to stole some time for her in between, but it didn't make her feel any better considering how much stressed her two friends were.

She so wished to join them as soon as possible.!!

A sound of throat clear snapped her back to the reality, and she craned her neck to the door only to find Rathore standing there in his usual self.

"Rathore sir... Good morning. Andar aayi ye na sir."

"morning Riya, kaisi hai tumhari tabiyat abhi .?"

Rathore asked standing near her bed.

tum kuch baat karna chahti thi mujhse.?

"umm...haan sir,vo mujhe aapse ek jaruri baat karni thi issliye maine aapko kal raat call kiya tha.

"haan toh batao kya baat hai? Tumhe kuch chahiye.?

"vo sir,pata ni aapko yaad hai ya nahi..lekin kuch mahino pehle apna aakhri waqt samajh ke maine aapse kuch kaha tha...

"Riya purani baatein ab bhul jao,ye tumhari nayi zindegi hai iske bare me socho.

"wohi soch ke hi maine aapko baat karne ke liye bulaya hai sir.

"matlab.?

"matlab ye ki sir, uss din maine aapse kaha tha ki agar zindegi me dubara mauka mila toh mai aapki training waste ni jaane dungi.ab jab vo mauka mila hai toh mai ni chahti phir kabhi meri wajah aap sab ke chehre pe bewasi dikhe jo maine uss din dekha tha.issliye sir,kya aap train karenge.?

Riya asked nervously,while Rathore stood mum for a while.

"pehli baat Riya,tum kamzor nahi ho kyunki tumne jo apni zindegi ka faisla 2 min me le liya vo dusre ni karpaate aur itna sab kuch hone ke baad tumhari ye pehli khwahish ko tumhara ye mentor kaise mana kar sakta hai.?

"matlab sir aap sach me...

"per meri ek condition hai Riya.

Rathore interrupted her quickly.

"kya condition hai sir.?

"yahi ki tumhe jaldi se thik hoke ETF wapas aana hoga.

and she smiled serenfully.

"done sir.

Few days later...

The morning seemed to be usual for others but for the ETF officers it was a rushed one.

Being called by the chief that too very early morning wasn't supposed to be normal ,right? Especially when all were late .

"arey chhotu jaldi chalana yar ,aese me bahut late pahunchenge yaar.

Shree whined rubbing his sleepy lashes,in order to wake himself up fully.

"achha abhi late ho raha hai,aur jo tujhe mai adhe ghante se utha raha tha tab late ni horaha tha.chhotu rolled his eyes.

"oye jaan bujh ke ni soraha tha mai.vo toh maine socha 5 min me uth jaaunga ,lekin pataa ni chala kab 5 min ka 30 min hogaya.

"haan ab vo chhod aur ye soch ki rathore sir ne itni jaldi kyun bulaya hoga.?

"case hoga uar kya.?

"hmm case hoga toh achha hai,warna ye Rtahore sir ke dimag me kab kya aata hai koi ni jaanta.

Chhotu murmured under his breathe.

Soon they reached the ETF office building and found Ayesha,sakshi too entering in hurriedly.

"arey tum dono bhi late ho? Chalo achha hai sab sath me daant khayenge.shree grinned.

"shut up shree.ab chalo andar.

Ayesha groaned.

"rathore sir ke sangat ka asar.chhotu muttered earning a chuckle from sakshi.

Before Ayesha could reply them they stood in front of their chief aka Rathore,or should they say an ANGRY RATHORE.?

"Good morning sameer.

Sakshi greeted him.

"8 baje bulaya tha maine sabko aur tum sab ab aarahe ho.?

"vo sir...

"No excuses Shree.responsibility bhi koi cheez hoti hai aur aesi chhoti mistakes mai ETF officers se umeed ni rakhta.

Yahan itna paperwork pending hai aur tum sabko ye mazaq lag raha hai.?

Aur tumhare vo second chief kahan hai? Unko bhi invitation dena padega ab aane ke liye.? "

" uski jarurat ni padegi. Najar ghumake dekhenge toh aapka kaam asan hojayega SIR. "

Came Arjun's mocking voice as he came walking out of his cabin and stood folding his hands across his chest.

" tumhari grand entry dekhne ke liye waqt ni hai mere pass Rawte. "

" sabke liye ek ek file rakha hai conference hall me. Aaj evening tak mujhe sabke reports ready chahiye. Now get back to work team."

All proceeded towards the hall silently, along with Arjun after nodding to their chief.

" Arey coffee? Aate hi coffee ready hai table pe.? " Ayesha exclaimed in surprise as they stood near the big glass table.

" lagta hai Rathore sir ne kiya hai ye. "

Chhotu smiled.

"maine ye ni kiya Chhotu."

Rathore replied from their back.

"toh..."

"Good Morning everyone."

The very familiar voice ringed in everyone's ear and all eyes turned to the other direction only to meet with a dimple smile, they missed to see in the office.

Riya stood dressed in a pair of jeans and formal shirt, ready to serve for ETF and suddenly the gloomy atmosphere disappeared.

So finally Riya came back to ETF.. How she will react when she will come to know about Sakshi's crush on Arjun?

The Wait

Part-6

Ayesha, Sakshi, Liza exchanged a disbelief look among each other.

This was new to them.

They had never seen Chhotu, Shree this much overwhelmed with happiness, that they were crying like kids.

They had never seen Rathore and Arjun switching their tough mode off... And all the sudden changes was because of a girl who was a colleague to them.

They wouldn't call Riya just a colleague, after watching the reactions of their teammates en now they were curious to get acquainted with the girl who has managed to occupy this special place in everyone's heart.

Arjun, however stood composing himself like the situation wasn't affecting him much, and he was okay with it.

"Shree, chhotu chhodo Riya ko. Tum dono suffocate kar rahe ho usse."

Rathore broke the long term silence in the room, thus the other duo departed themselves from Riya's frame, still staring at her intently as if she would vanish with a blink.

"Sir aapne dekha, Riya ki heartbeats chal rahi hai. Iska matlab vo..."

Shree paused himself, smiling broadly at the monitors attached to her body and Rathore had to admit he was seeing Shree this much happy after like ages.

"iska matlab Riya hamare sath wapas ETF me aayegi.!"

Chhotu exclaimed in shock.

"Per guys hame sabse pehle Riya ko hospital leke jaana padega. Usse abhi treatment ki jarurat hai."

Ayesha spoke interrupting them, while Sakshi, Liza nodded their heads in agreement.

"Haan. Mai bahar se nurse ko bula ke laa.."

Before Sakshi could complete, Arjun hurriedly bent down to the level of Riya and asided the thin blanket from her before looking up.

"Shree."

"yes sir."

By getting the hint Shree held the saline bottle in his hand, while Arjun picked up Riya in his arms carefully, much to Sakshi's amusement .

Rathore held the door open letting them go out, whereas Chhotu instructed the crowd gathered around to clear their way till the ETF SUV.

Arjun made Riya lay in the back seat with her head resting on Shree's lap, while Ayesha sat next to him.

Sakshi, chhotu occupied the last seat, whereas Arjun accelerated the SUV with Rathore in the front seat.

Soon the car stopped near a hospital, and Riya was immediately taken inside with the ETF members waiting outside.

An hour later..

Shree came back after informing Riya's family on call and glanced at the transparent glass door, inside which Riya's check up was going on.

"itna time kyun lag raha hai? Sab thik toh hoga na.?"

Chhotu asked anxiously.

"Chhotu fikr mat Karo, sab thik hoga."

Sakshi assured.

Ayesha stole a glance at Rathore, then at others.

Undoubtedly all looked tired.

"Umm.. Aap sab thake hue lag rahe hain. Mai sab ke liye kuch laati hun. Rathore sir aap coffee peeyenge.?"

She asked in concern.

"Nahi Ayesha mujhe kuch nahi chahiye."

Rathore simply denied.

Chhotu, Shree shook their heads as well, when Ayesha moved her eyes to them.

"Aur Arjun.?"

Sakshi asked this time.

"nahi."

Arjun muttered without looking at her, thus she sighed.

"Liza kahan hai.?"

Rathore questioned, suddenly realizing her absence.

"Sir, Vo jo chemicals hame mile the unki testing ke liye Liza lab chali gayi. Usne Kaha ki vo kaam khatam hote hi aajayegi."

Shree replied, to which Rathore nodded his head in understanding.

Just then a doctor came out of the room, making all stand in alert.

" aap me se patient ke family member kaun hai.? "

The doctor asked, eyeing each of them expectantly.

" Maine Riya ki family ko inform kardiya hai, per unhe aane me toh time lagega."

Shree murmured slowly.

"Doctor mai Sameer Rathore ETF chief aur ye meri team hai. Riya bhi iss team ka hissa hai aur duty ke baad hum ek family ki tarah hi hain, toh aap hame bata sakte hain."

Rathore said, when others except Arjun smiled at their chief's words.

"Oh hello. I'm doctor Khurana."

The doctor stretched his hand towards Rathore, who nodded shaking his hand with him and the doctor continued.

"Dekhiye maine X-RORA II virus case ke baare me pehle se suna tha, Kuch mahino pehle toh ye ek sensitive topic bangaya tha aur aaj Subah ki news me maine dekha ki kaise aapko aapki officer wapas mili.

Toh ye aap logon ke liye khushi aur mere liye surprising baat hai ki aapki officer bilkul thik hain. "

It took few secs all to register the words properly in mind, before they got it and their faces broke in to smiles.

Though Arjun didn't show, yet he released the breathe he was holding from the past few seconds and his face mirrored relief.

" patient ke body se X-RORA II virus almost dissolve hogaya hai. Bas thoda hi bacha Jo harmful ni hai."

The doctor shook his head.

"toh kya doctor Riya ki body se virus aese hi dissolve hogaya.?"

Ayesha asked, puzzled.

"nahi. Unhe antidote diya gaya hai." came the doctor's quick reply, that was enough to shock the rest.

"kya? Antidote.?"

Arjun gave a strange look to the doctor, then turned his head to Rathore who was surprised as well.

"ji Haan. Per uske sath sath unhe drugs bhi diya gaya hai, jiski wajah se vo abhi tak coma se bahar ni aayin hai."

"Toh doctor kya Riya.."

"nahi nahi chinta karne ki jarurat ni hai, Vo jald hi thik hojayengi.

Humne treatment shuru kar diya hai, thoda time lagega per recovery pakki hai unki."

The doctor assured, seeing Chhotu's already tensed face.

"thank you so much doctor." Shree beamed in happiness.

"It's alright. Ye mera farz hai jaise aap log apna farz nibhate hain.

Ek fighter ne toh abhi tak haar ni maani, and I'm sure thik hote hi vo ETF wapas join karne ke liye zyada wait ni karengi."

The doctor smiled watching Riya through the glass.

"aapne sahi kaha doctor. Vo ek aesi fighter hai jisne na kabhi haar maani aur na hi kabhi maanegi."

Rathore stated proudly and the doctor nodded his head in agreement.

"already aap sab abhi patient se mil sakte hain, lekin please dhyan rahe jaise patient ko zyada disturbance na ho."

"Hum dhyan rakhenge, thank you doctor."

Sakshi smiled, before the doctor was gone and all entered the room, where Riya was resting.

Chhotu walked till the bed and touched her hand.

"mujhe toh abhi tak yakeen ni horaha hai ki Riya.. Hamari Riya kuch dino me wapas aajayegi."

"jab vo uth jaayegi na tab hum usse bahut sari baatein karenge. Inn 6 mahino me humne kya kiya kya nahi sab."

Shree exclaimed happily.

"Guys vo itne dino baad uthegi aur tum dono usse apni baaton me bore karoge.?"

Sakshi narrowed her gaze, chuckling.

"Arey tum ni jaanti Sakshi, Ri hamari baaton se kabhi bore ni hoti.

Ulta Kabhi kabhi humse bhi zyada baat karti hai."

Shree answered.

"aur uske statistics aur percentage kabhi khatam hi ni hote." chhotu added.

"RI.?"

Sakshi's brows raised.

"Haan Shree hamesha Ri bulata hai Riya ko.

Pata hai? Itna hygiene freak hai ki coffee mug ko tissue paper se saaf na karne tak usko apne muh tak ni legi."

Chhotu chuckled.

"hmm.. Tum dono ki baatein sunke na mera bhi bahut mann kar raha hai Riya se baat karne ka. Bas vo ek baar thik hojaye, phir hum sab masti karenge."

Sakshi smiled along with Chhotu, shree.

There were 3 other people who were listening to their conversation silently from a little distance from them, and Rathore actually smiled seeing them this much happy ;Which went noticed by Ayesha beside him.

"Bahut attached hai na Riya sab se."

Ayesha murmured in a low voice.

"Haan. Itne mahino baad maine Shree aur chhotu ko itna khush dekha hai. Jab tum usse jaanne lagogi phir tumhe pata chalega ki vo kaisi hai, aur sabke sath uski itni attachment kyun hai, chahe kuch log Kitna bhi chhupane ki koshish karle."

Rathore muttered eyeing Arjun, who was standing still in the room, not talking, not reacting anything.

Just then Rathore's phone rang and he went out of the room to receive it.

By the time he finished the talk and came back Ayesha had too joined Sakshi, chhotu, Shree in chit chatting, while Arjun choosed to be a mute spectator there.

"Team."

All heads were now turned to the chief's voice, and all looked at Rathore's serious posture.

"Professor Prakash ko arrest kardiya gaya hai. Vo abhi ETF office me hai."

Rathore announced.

"tum sab yahin ruko, mai aur Rathore jaake aate hain."

Arjun said, knowing none of them would be ready to leave Riya anytime soon.

"Umm sir, mai chalta hun aap dono ke sath. Baad me wapas aajaunga." Chhotu spoke.

"aur sir mai bhi."

Shree piped in.

Rathore's forehead screeched at the duo, but however he nodded.

"aap log jayiye, hum log yahin rukte hain, agar kuch jarurat hogi toh call karenge."

Ayesha chirped referring to herself and Sakshi.

"OK. Let's go."

Rathore walked out of the hospital room followed by the other duo,even though they were hesitating to leave Riya's side.

ETF office :

A 65 year old man was sitting in the interrogation room surrounded by the ETF officers, then roamed his eyes around the room.

"Abhishek kahan hai? Mujhe usse milna hai."

"aapko aapke pote ke pass bhej diya jaayega, per hamare sawal ke jabab dene ke baad.

Baaki sab Kuch toh Abhishek ne hame bata hi diya hai, bas ek sawal baaki hai. Ye..."

Rathore put Riya's photo on the table, before looking up to the professor.

"ye hamari officer hai jiski body me X-RORA II virus tha, per doctor ne hume kaha ki uski body se virus dissolve hogaya hai kyunki usse antidote diya gaya tha. Kaise.?"

"jiski body me mera medicine jaayega, uski body me koi aur bimari kaise ho sakti hai?

Issliye mai chahta tha pehle Vo dusri bimari chali jaayein phir testing karunga."

The professor replied.

"Per vo antidote aayi kahan se.?"

Arjun questioned.

"Aayi matlab? Aap bhul rahe hain ki mai scientist reh chuka hun,aur ek scientist apni problem ka solution khud nikal sakta hai.

Maine khud banayi thi vo antidote."

The professor sounded proud with himself, thus others sighed.

"Ek doctor, ek scientist.. Agar dono apni professions ka galat faida ni uthate toh sayad kuch achha naam kama paate.

Chhotu, le jao inhe."

Rathore ordered standing up from his chair.

Chhotu came walking forward towards the professor, who looked up to him.

" ek police officer toh nahi, per ek dost hone ke naate keh raha hun... Thank you, Vo antidote banane ke liye. "

All looked at chhotu well understanding his emotions and kept mum, while chhotu took the professor out along with him.

One and half month passed...

ETF kept solving cases, Riya was still under treatment,Ayesha was still hesitant over her feelings towards Rathore, Sakshi was still continuing her little crush on Arjun, Chhotu,Shree still got scolded sometimes by their chiefs - everything was same ; except the chief had no more regret in his eyes for not being able to save his teammate, two friends were eagerly waiting for their friend's arrival,three girls were equally excited to have another girl in their gang and ARJUN?

Well Arjun was reserved like his usual self, non responsive to any other thing except crime cases, but who knows he might change in near future for good?

Everyone except Arjun used to visit Riya in the hospital on a regular basis, specially Chhotu and Shree who spend many hours in her room talking to her like she listen to them everyday.

Rathore too visits her frequently, along with Ayesha, Sakshi and Liza, but none forced Arjun ever knowing how he is.

It was another regular evening, when after ending the shift both Chhotu, Shree headed for hospital.

On reaching there they entered the lift, meanwhile Shree got a call, which he received while following chhotu out of the lift past few minutes.

Suddenly Chhotu grabbed his hand towards a wall hiding themselves behind it, much to Shree's confusion.

"Kya hua.?" he asked, disconnecting the call.

"sshh .. Maine abhi abhi jisko dekha hai na, agar tu dekhega toh hosh udd jaayenge."

Chhotu said in a low voice, only audible to Shree.

"Kaun teri 11.30 wali.?"

Shree smirked.

"Arey nahi re. Vo toh sabzi mandi aati hai, hospital kyun aayegi."

"toh kaun.?"

"Arjun sir."

"kya.?"

Shree almost yelled, then slowly peaked through the wall and indeed Arjun was there,talking to a doctor.

"udi baba! Ye Arjun sir yahan kya kar rahe hain, inki tabiyat kharab hai kya.?"

"lekin Subah se toh bhale changey lag rahe the."

Chhotu answered.

"toh phir.?"

Shree's forehead screeched, en it took few minutes for the duo to get the real thing in their mind and they looked at each other with wide eyes.

"RIYA SE MILNE.!"

both murmured in union, then grinned.

Okay just to make one thing clear that I'm not a cheesy type writer.. I mean I'm not going to make Arjun fall for Riya all of a sudden and confess his feelings and all... Those episodes i had watched them together all i wanted their chemistry to grow slowly with love and understanding.. So love will take time as Arjun is still not over of his wife but but.. There will be Ariya scenes ;-) no worries about that (-: (^_-)

By the time the clock stroke 10am in the next morning, the ETF team barged inside the Hospital with the local police following them behind.
"Team, jitne bhi hamare list me hai sabko arrest Karo. Ek bhi chhutna nahi chahiye."
Rathore ordered strictly, to which others nodded except Arjun; who walked ahead straight to Dr Sudeep's cabin along with Rathore beside him.
Dr Sudeep stood up seeing the two ETF chiefs standing near the doorstep of his cabin, glaring him hard,making him gulp in fear.

" Sir.. Aap log.."

"Sach chahe Kitna chhupane ki koshish karlo Sudeep, Vo aaj ni toh Kal samne aa hi jaata hai."
Rathore stated the fact.
Sudeep didn't reply anything, but lowered his head.

"Kahan hai vo.?"
Arjun asked firmly.

"Sir, I'm sure usse Kisine fasaya hai. Mai usse bachpan se jaanta hun, sir vo aesa kaam ni kar sakta."
Sudeep tried to convince them, but the facial expressions of those two tough cops in front of him said it all.

Nothing was going to change their mind.

" tumhara best friend kya kar sakta hai aur kya nahi vo tum khud dekh lena. Hame bas batao kahan hai vo."
Rathore narrowed his gaze, sounding hell serious.

"Sir vo 2nd floor.."

They didn't Wait for him to complete his words and approached the lift hurriedly, holding their guns in their hands.

"Chhotu.Ayesha"
Arjun called out them signaling towards the stairs, before entering the lift.

"yes sir."
Both chhotu, and Ayesha went by the stairs loading their guns as well.

On reaching the second floor Arjun and Rathore started their quick search in the wards, when Rathore's eyes finally caught the culprit.
"Rawte."
He called out putting both of his hands on the either sides of his waist, whilst glaring the junior doctor Abhishek.

The guy's eyes widened on seeing the cop and he ran towards the other exit of the ward, only to be blocked by Arjun himself.
Desperately wanting to escape the guy went to jump out of the window, but Chhotu was quick enough to grab him back by his collar.

"ye kya batameezi hai? Aap ek doctor ko aese kaise treat kar sakte hain? Chhodiye mujhe."
The guy struggled to free himself.

" Doctor nahi, hum har mujrim ko aese hi treat karte hain. "
Chhotu spoke and pushed him towards Rathore,who held the doctor by his collar too and threw a punch on his face.

" kuch nahi kiya hai maine. "
The guy objected, wincing loudly while rubbing his cheek and got up only to get another punch on the other side of his face, this time from Arjun.

Just then Shree, Sakshi too arrived there, then no more words were exchanged in between the officers and all started biting the doctor one by one, except Sakshi who stood near a corner quietly.

An hour later..
ETF OFFICE :-

The doctor was sitting on a chair in the interrogation room, all injured and covered with bandages, lowering his head.

"Dr Abhishek Kumar, tumhare cabin se mile sare papers se pata chalta hai ki tum kitni mann lagake logon ka illaz karte the, ek illigal medicine se.
Tum toh doctor keh lane ka bhi layak nahi ho.

Rathore asked bitterly, slamming a file on the glass table in front of him.

The doctor chuckled shamelessly, and Shree shook his head standing at a little distance away from him.

"apna philosophy apne pass rakho, aur Jo hum Puch rahe hain uska jawab do.

Rathore narrowed his gaze.

"Nahi. Vo nahi hai mastermind, ye hai." Arjun came walking inside and put a photo frame on the table, making the doctor alert in nano secs.

"nahi. Inka koi lena dena ni hai mere kaam se. Ye sab maine apni marzi se khud kiya hai."

"ye hai kaun.?" Rathore questioned eyeing the photo frame.

"Ye professor Prakash Kumar hai Abhishek ke Dada ji Jo ki ek scientist reh chuke gain.
Liza ke mutabik medicine me Jo chemicals use ho rahe the vo ek scientist hi study karke cautions ke sath use kar sakta hai,aur interesting baat ye hai ki Professor Prakash Ussi orphanage ko sponsor karte the, Jahan Raghu kaam kiya karta tha. Ab ye Koi itefaq toh ni hai, hai na.? "
Arjun folded his arms across his chest raising his brows at the doctor.

" tum apna muh khologe ya hum tumhare Dada ji ko tumhari tarah treatment deke sach bulwayein.? "
Rathore asked, irritated with his silence.

" Nahi. Aap please unhe kuch mat Kijiye, mai... Mai batata hun."
The doctor stuttered, then then took a long breath before continuing.

" Mom, dad ke death ke baad Dada ji hi meri family ban gaye. Meri har chhoti, badi cheez ki dhyan rakhte the vo, aur mujhe unke sath kabhi apni parents ki kami mehsoos ni hui.
Kuch saal pehle Dada ji ek medicine pe research kar rahe the, lekin government ne unke project ko harmful batake approve ni kiya aur Dada ji ne jab protest kiya tab unhe research center se bhi bahar kardiya gaya. "

"uske baad Dada ji depression me chale gaye, khana peena sab chhod diya tha unhone. Mujhse unki ye haalat dekhi ni gayi, issliye maine unhe kaha koi approve kare ya na Kare aap vo medicine jarur banaiye.
Hamare ghar ke lab me unhone apna kaam start kiya aur unhe Jo bhi chahiye hoti thi vo mai laake deta tha.
Ek hi problem thi ki medicine banane ki har process me unhe testing ke liye koi chahiye tha, issliye maine Raghu se baat ki.
Dada ji ke sath mai bhi kabhi kabhi vo orphanage Chala jaata tha, aur wahin se mujhe pata tha ki Raghu ko bas paison se matlab hai, chahe kaam koi bhi ho.
Per vo orphanage ki owner ne hamari baat sunli aur maine usse maar ke accident ka naam dediya . phir hum dheere dheere orphanage ke logon ko lab le aaye, aur sabko bata diya ki vo kahin aur shift ho rahe hain.? "

" Aur Dr shukla? Unhe kaise phasaya.? "
Arjun asked interrupting him.

" jab maine hospital join kiya tha tab baaki ke 3 doctors asani se mere hath me aagaye. Socha jin patients ke bachne ki umeed Kam hai, Vo mere Dada ji ke research ke kaam aasakte hain, aur tab hospital ke famous doctor the Dr shukla.
Agar vo kuch kehte the, toh log usse hi sach maante the, issliye mujhe vo apne kaam ke liye chahiye the.
Maine unhe paise offer kiye the per unhone mana kardiya, ulta police ko inform karne ki baat bolne lage aur Ussi din maine unki family ko utha liya.
Uske baad toh vo aaram se razi hogaye mera kaam karne ke liye. "
The doctor finished in a go.

" lekin tumhara plan tab fail hogaya, jab 2 families ne apni relatives ke maut ko leke complain kardiya. "
Shree pointed out.

" Dada ji ko 2 patients urgent chahiye the testing ke liye, issliye Dr Sahani ne jaldi jaldi me 2 patients ko mara hua boldiya aur vo patients ke jaise dikhne walon mask pehna ke unki families ko dedi. Lekin had badi me humse Dev mathur ke jaisa dikhne wala admi ke hath ka cut miss kardiya aur Ussi me sab khel bigad gaya. "
The doctor shook his head.

" toh Raghu ko tumne zeher diya tha.? "
Chhotu interrogated.

" usse toh marna hi tha. Police ki dhamki deke zyada paise maang raha tha mujhse. Issliye maine uska muh band karwa diya. "

" bol toh aese rahe ho, jaise bahut bada kaam kiya hai tumne."
Sakshi exclaimed in disbelief.

" kyunki usse koi fark hi nahi padta.
Doctors ko Bhagwan maan ke log viswas karte hain, aur isne toh uss viswas ko apna dhanda bana diya. "Ayesha snorted.

" maine Jo bhi kiya apni Dada ji ki khusi ke liye kiya, aur iss baat ka mujhe Koi pachtava ni hai. "the doctor chirped straight, when Rathore slammed a pic on the table.
It was Riya's photo, thus Arjun's hard face softened a little.

" Aur ye? Ek ETF officer thi vo. "
Rathore shot a murderous glare at the doctor, who let out a sadistic chuckle.

" OFFICER THI? YA HAI.?"

Rathore stood up straight staring at the doctor blankly, then moved his eyes to his teammates who were in the same state like him.

Chhotu came walking forward and made the doctor stand by holding his forearm harshly.
"Dekh agar tujhe lagta hai ki hame jhuth bolke tu.."

"Saansein chal rahi thi uski. Tab nahi jab aap log ke pass uss room me thi, tab jab hum usse autopsy ke liye leke gaye the.
Dr Shukla jaane wale the aap logon ke pass batane ke liye ki patient zinda hai, lekin maine unhe rok liya.
Same color, same height aur same physic ki ladki ki body thi hamare pass, humne bas ek mask lagake aap logon ko dediya. "

Chhotu's grip loosened that instant on hearing his words, then Shree reached up to him as fast as he can.

"toh... Toh ab vo..."
Shree stammered, unable to complete his own words.

"ab ka ni pata mujhe. Lab bhejne ke baad maine usse wapas kabhi ni dekha.
Waise bhi kya fark padta hai, aap logon ke liye toh vo already mar chuki hai na.?"
The doctor narrowed his gaze, looking at each of them flatly.

"dusron ke emotions tum jaisa insan nahi samajh sakta, jisne khud apne hathon se kisiki jaan le li.
Ye tumhari bewakoofi hai, agar tumhe lagta hai ki ye sab tumne apne Dada ke pyar me kiya, jabki sach ye hai ki tumhe mental illaz ki jarurat hai."
Arjun spat angrily,wheras others were trying to cop up with the current situation amidst their vulnerable state.

" team let's go. "
Rathore announced, before walking out of the interrogation room, followed by Arjun and other teammates.

" hame aur late nahi karna chahiye. Professor Prakash ko hame jald se jald rokna padega."
Arjun spoke thoughtfully.

"Per Sir, ye Abhishek itna confidentally baat Kar raha tha, isse toh ni lagta ki Sab itne asani se hamari pakad me aayenge." Ayesha pointed out.

"vo Jo bhi ho Ayesha, hame risk lena hi padega.
Shree, police forces bulao.
Sakshi, tum kuch ambulances ko Abhishek ke resident jaane ke liye bol do, pata ni hame Wahan kitne patients milenge.
Chhotu, Ayesha tum dono Professor Prakash ko sabse pehle custody me lena aur haan Liza ko bhi Wahan bula lo. Understood.? "
Rathore finished in a go.

" yes sir. "
All muttered slowly, causing Arjun to turn around to face them.

" ye waqt emotional hone ka ni hai guys. Hum pehle ETF officers hain, uske baad kuch aur. Ye baat hamesha dhyan me rahe. "
" yes sir. "
All muttered, this time a little more confidentally, then went away leaving the two chiefs behind.

"Chalein.?"
Arjun wore his goggle.

"Jo baat tumne baakiyon ko kaha Vo tumpe bhi laagu hota hai."
Rathore gave him a look, wore his google as well and walked away without waiting for Arjun's response.

As per the prior expectations Abhishek's residence was full of goons, who welcomed the cops with firing.
The ETF team, and the police force responded them with equal force and aggression, that resulted few injuries to few police officers and death of few goons.
After reaching inside the mansion they found the way to an underground lab, where Arjun and Chhotu tossed few goons in hand.
They were astonished to see such a big underground place, and by big they meant it was really big with modern medical equipments around.

"Sir.. Sir ek min."
Shree approached them quickly with few yellow colored goggles, with Liza beside him.

"ye Kisliye.?"
Rathore questioned.

"Sir vo Liza ka idea tha ki hum yahan smoking gas chhod de. Isse patients ko kuch ni hoga, per baakiyon ko smoke ki wajah se vision problem hogi aur tab tak hum easily apna kaam kar sakte hain. Bas sab ye goggles pehen le."
Shree explained.

"smart move Liza."
Sakshi smiled and Liza nodded her head in reply.

Each of them took the goggle from Shree, when the entire place got filled with smoke.

"Team Spread out."
Rathore moved his gun in the air, and all went away in different directions followed by few local officers and nurses.

Shree, Sakshi who were in the west found rooms full of different chemicals and other equipments.
Chhotu, Ayesha in the south witnessed the dead bodies of people, while the smell and scene made Ayesha almost vomit.
Rathore with Liza in the north direction rescued few patients who were kept in separate rooms.
There Arjun in the east directed the nurses to take the patients to hospital immediately, while checking each and every room properly.

"c'mon do it fast. Sare rooms check Karo aur sabko bahar le Chalo."

His legs suddenly stopped moving forward, as his eyes caught a blurry glimpse of someone from the door of a room, which he was going to close and he pushed it open walking inside the room mechanically.

Amidst the gas the room was filled with, he took off the yellow goggle from his eyes, when his legs dragged him towards the bed until the blurry glimpse of the person laying on the bed was clear to him, and the screeched, confused lines of his forehead disappeared in the fog.

He stared at the girl's face who had her eyes closed, then moved his eyes upwards to the machines attached to her body which were bipping, counting down her heartbeats.

He couldn't help but remembered the first day he had met her. The girl who was in the first day of her fieldwork, yet hated to be underestimated and didn't fear of telling what was in her mind.
The girl who did not know how to shoot, still never refused to take risks.
The girl whom he thought of less capable of field work, was here laying on the bed not ready to give up from the last 6 months.

Releasing a sharp breathe he pressed the bluetooth on his ear, still not moving his eyes from the girl.

"Guys.."

"Rawte, mujhe Dr shukla ki family mill gayi hai. Unki wife ki toh maut ho chuki hai, per bachhon ki saansein chal rahi thi, aur maine unhe hospital bhej diya hai. Wahan ka kya haal hai.?"
Rathore asked over the call.

"Sir, yahan jitne bhi chemicals mile hain hum sab lab bhej rahe hain. Per professor Prakash yahan ni hai."
Shree sounded disappointed.

"don't worry Shree maine officers bhej diya hai. Vo bhi arrest ho jaayenge."
Rathore assured.

"aur sir yahan ki toh haalat bahut kharab hai. Charon taraf bas lashein hi dikh rahi hai." Chhotu spoke.

"ek kaam Karo Sakshi, aur ambulances bulwao.jitne bhi zinda hai sabko urgent treatment ki jarurat hai, aur..."

"Guys RIYA..."
Arjun interrupted Rathore and his two words were enough to hitch everyone's breath.

All stood still while the girls took a glance at their teammates, unable to say anything and waiting for Arjun to continue.

"Rawte? Tumhe vo mili?"
Rathore asked slowly.

"sab east ki taraf aajao. Jaldi."
Arjun replied and disconnected the call.

Rathore, Liza did no delay and hurriedly proceeded towards that direction.

"aap inn sabko please ambulance me le jaayiye." Shree said to a nurse before running away followed by Ayesha.

Chhotu almost bumped with few police officers on his way, and searched inside each and every room to find where Arjun was.

Sakshi was the first to spot Arjun through the glass door and called out for Shree.

"Shree yahan."
Both She and Shree rushed inside, whereas chhotu too reached up to them at the same time.
Rathore entered in secs later, huffing for breath only to found all stunned staring at the girl laying on the bed, not moving with closed eyes.
Arjun blinked his eyes, en turned his head to the rest, where Shree, Chhotu were in tears, Ayesha, Liza, Sakshi had disbelief looks on their faces and Rathore was still stunned.
Shree, Chhotu exchanged a look, en in no time they caged Riya's sleeping frame tightly in a hug, resting their heads on the either sides of her shoulder.

Hii. good evening guys. As i had promised I'm here with the part One of "The wait". Let me tell you i have made some changes in the story like "Riya's favorite hero, the hospital where she died etc.. Etc. (you will get to know while reading the update :)) so enjoy.!

Also thank you so much for the amazing response in the prologue and cs. :)

The Wait

Part-1

It was a regular morning, where the ETF chief Sameer Rathore was having some talk with the commissioner on call in his cabin, the second chief Arjun Suryakant Rawte was working over some old case in his own cabin ;whereas others were busy in chit-chatting plus their paperwork together in the conference hall.

Ayesha, Sakshi were talking about a new mall in their city, with Chhotu enquiring about the food court of the mall from them, but the one person quiet among them was Shree ;who was doing his work silently all the time.

"Arey shree, tum itne Chup chap kyun ho.?"

Ayesha asked pausing her discussion with Sakshi.

"uh. Kuch nahi bas kaam thoda zyada hai issliye."

Shree replied looking up for a nano secs, then shifted his attention to the file again.

"kaam toh hum bhi kar rahe hain, per tumhari tarah aese upset hoke nahi.

Lagta hai Sameer aur Arjun ka asar hone laga hai tumpe."

Sakshi chuckled along with the other duo, but shree didn't buzz.

"Shree, kya hua hai? Tu Subah se Chup chap baitha hai, sab thik hai na.?"

Chhotu sounded a little worried.

"haan guys sab thik hai. Tum log bekar me tension le rahe ho."

Shree assured them calmly.

But they were far from believing him.

"dekho abhi bhi tensed lag rahe ho. Liza se phir jhagda hua.?"

Sakshi raised her brow.

"nahi. Liza toh Kal hi usse achhe se baat Kar rahi thi, aur.. *pause * ek min. Liza se yaad aya, shree tum Kal Liza ko movie ke liye leke jaane wale the na?

Vo aaj Subah bol rahi thi ki tumne last moment me plan cancel kardiya. Kyun.?"

Ayesha questioned, looking at him curiously.

" achha ye baat hai. Pakka iski wajah se Liza ko gussa aaya hoga aur Shree ka mood kharab hogaya.

Waise kaunsi movie thi.? "

Sakshi grinned.

" Vo hai na Sidharth Kapoor, uski nayi movie release hui hai. Liza ka toh vo favorite hero hai."

Ayesha replied, thus chhotu's smile suddenly disappeared over a small realization.

He passed a sad look to shree, who was already looking at him returning the look.

" ab tumhe kya hua.? "

Sakshi asked on noticing chhotu's changed facial expression.

" kuch nahi."

Chhotu mumbled in a low voice.

And both of the girls exchanged a confuse look at each other.

Before they could ask more, Rathore came walking to the conference hall.

"Are you done with the paperwork guys.?"

His forehead screeched a little, finding them all quiet, which wasn't normal.

He was well acquainted with their chit-chat sessions but he was ok with it, as long as they were doing their work perfectly on time.

But today was different.!

" kya hua? Koi problem hai.?"

"No. No sir paperwork almost hogaya hai, bas thoda hi baaki hai."

Shree spoke on everyone's behalf, hence Rathore didn't say anything further, eyeing each of them intently.

Just then a commotion outside of the hall grabbed their attention, thus all turned around only to find a lady of mid 65 entering in hurriedly, followed by the guards.

"dekhiye mam aap andar ni jaa sakti."

"nahi mujhe yahan ke chief se milna hai. Mile bina mai ni jaaungi."

The lady stood in front of Rathore.

The guard was about to pull the lady back, instead stopped when Rathore showed his palm, motioning him to stop.

"Kya aap ACP Sameer Rathore hain.?"

The lady asked, sobbing.

"ji. Lekin aapko kya chahiye.?"

"dekhiye aap meri madad Kijiye please. Mai bahut umeed leke aayi hun."

The lady cried out, joining both of her palms.

30min later...

All the ETF officers were sitting in the conference hall on their respective chairs, lost in deep thoughts.

" Anita Mathur ji, Jo bahar waiting room me baithi hain, 2 din pehle apne bete Dev Mathur ko ek hospital me uski heart me hui hole ki surgery ke liye admit kiya tha.

Treatment ke dauran uski maut hogayi thi, Jiska reason doctors ne excess blood loss bataya hai.

Per Anita ji ye nahi maanti, unke hisab se doctors ki galti ki wajah se unki bete ki maut hogayi.

Unhone ye bhi zikr kiya hai ki unke bete ki dead body ke hath me ek cut ka nishan tha, Jo surgery se pehle ni tha.

Ab Vo chahti hain ki hum unki help karein. "

Rathore explained in a go, then looked up.

" kya lagta hai team.? "

" ek laute bete ko Khone ke baad Anita ji kaafi depressed hogayi hain. Issliye sayad hospital ko blame kar rahi hain. "

Shree shook his head.

" iss Umar me bete ko Khone ke baad toh Koi bhi maa aese hi bolengi. Maine aese bahut cases pe report banaya hai, Jahan aksar family members doctors ko blame karte hain. "

Sakshi murmured.

" aur vo police ki baat bhi kar rahin thi. Police ne koi action ni liya matlab ho sakta hai unhe bhi ye Koi case na laga ho. "Ayesha shrugged.

" per vo toh kitni umeed leke hamare pass aayin hai. Agar hum bhi unhe yahi kahenge, toh unpe kya gujrega.? "

Chhotu looked at them expectantly.

" Rawte.?" Rathore now set his eyes on him, who was swirling a pen in between his fingers.

"mere khayal se Chhotu sahi keh raha hai.

Mana ki hame ye Koi case nahi lag raha hai aur hospitals me aese incidents hote rehte hain. Phir bhi Anita ji ke liye hame ek baar hospital me Puch lena chahiye. "

Arjun said turning his head to Rathore.

" i think that's right. Let's go. "

All came out of the conference hall and stood near the lady, who was seated on the couch, still sobbing.

Rathore motioned Ayesha to talk to her and she nodded bending down on her knees in front of the lady, wiping her tears with her palm.

" maaji aap please rona band Kijiye,hum hospital jaake pata karenge ki kya matter hai."

The old lady's face lit up a little, and she suddenly smiled hopefully.

"sach.?"

"ji. Aapke pass aapke bete ka koi photo hai.?"

Shree asked this time.

"haan. Mere pass hi hai."

She took a photograph out of her vanity bag and passed it to him.

"ek kaam Karo Shree tum aur Rawte jaake hospital me Puch tach Karo. Chhotu, Ayesha tum dono local police se baat Karo. Mai aur Sakshi inhe ghar chhod ke aate hain."

Rathore commanded in his usual strict voice.

"aapka beta kaunse hospital me tha.?"

Arjun questioned the lady, taking the boy's photo from Shree.

"ji Sanjeevani Hospital."

Came her reply that made four of the men's eyes snap upto her and their faces paled that instant.

Arjun was the first to blink and craned his neck to witness Rathore looking away with an unknown emotion overpowering his stern face, whereas Chhotu and shree's heads were hanging low hiding their moist eyes.

Part-2(A)

Ayesha, Sakshi aware of the sudden change in atmosphere tried to gauge the tension in between them, but were clueless about the reason.

"Sir, err.. Kya mai Ayesha, chhotu ke sath local police station jaa sakta hun.?"

Shree asked in a low voice.

"Per shree tum.."

"It's OK Rathore. I'll go alone."

Arjun said interrupting him and walked away, while others too departed to do their respective works as per their chief's command.

Chhotu patted Shree's shoulder, whereas Ayesha decided not to shoot her questions at them and the trio drove away.

Arjun parked the SUV outside of the hospital, glancing at the hoarding which had two words written over it, with bold letters.

Sanjeevani Hospital.

This was the second time he was there and the feeling of uneasiness was already swallowing him.

Keeping the random feelings aside he entered in and stood near the reception, where the receptionist girl was busy in talking over the landline phone.

"yes? Kya chahiye aapko.?"

The girl asked putting the receiver down.

"ACP Arjun Rawte. ETF. Dr Shukla kahan milenge.?"

Arjun asked showing her his ID, and remembering the old lady taking the doctor's name again and again earlier.

"oh one sec sir."

The girl checked something quickly in her computer, then looked up.

"Sir Dr Shukla second floor ke 4no ward me patient ko check kar rahe hai."

He nodded making his way towards the lift, looking for ward no4.

On finding it he was about to go there, but stopped noticing a doctor coming out of the ward, followed by a nurse.

" Dr Shukla.? "

The doctor turned around on being called from back.

" Yes.?"

"Arjun Rawte. ETF. Aapse kuch sawal puchne the."

Arjun folded his arms across his chest.

"Ji puchiye."

The doctor motioned the nurse to leave and shifted his attention back to Arjun.

"Dev Mathur. Kya aap Unhe jaante hain.?"

"Dev.. Mathur. Ji haan vo yahan ke patient the 2 din pehle."

"Patient the.?"

"haan. Ek surgery ke dauran unki maut hogayi thi. Agar aap unke baare me puchne aaye hai, toh I'm sure aapko ye pata hi hoga."

"unhe exactly kya hua tha.?"

Arjun enquired, ignoring his previous smart comment.

"Dekhiye unki heart me ek hole tha, upar se unhone dair se apna treatment karwaya. Aese me surgery ke chalte Zyada blood loss ki wajah se unki maut hogayi. Ab maut ko rokne ke liye hum doctors hai, Bhagwan nahi."

"lekin yahan toh log doctors ko hi Bhagwan maante hai Mr Shukla.

Khair,patient ke dead body ki hath me ek cut ka nishan tha, uske baare me aapko kya Kehna hai.?"

"ek junior doctor ki wajah se vo Chhota sa cut hogaya tha, lekin iska matlab ye ni ki vo cut ki wajah se patient ki maut hogayi."

The doctor shook his head then continued.

"humse jitni ho sakti thi humne kiya. Zaruri nahi ki hum har kisiki jaan bacha paye.

Ye baat unki maa samajh leti toh hospital ko blame ni karti. Ye hospital hai aur hum roz yahan kisi na kisi ki maut dekhte hai.

Mujhe toh iss baat ki hairani hai ki itni mamuli si baat ke liye police aur ETF yahan tak aagaye. "

The doctor looked at him in disbelief .

" Hame kya karna hai, aur kya nahi vo hum pe chhod dijiye, aur achha hoga ki aap apne kaam pe dhyan de. Samjhe ya Samhjhaun.?"

Arjun glared the doctor.

" mera vo matlab.. "

The doctor paused on hearing someone crying loudly, that grabbed Arjun's attention.

Both watched a woman and a boy crying uncontrollably near another corner of the corridor, with someone laying on the stretcher fully covered with white cloth.

" uh. Ye sab toh normal hai. Yahan kisiki chehre pe muskan aati hai toh kisiki aankhon me aansu."

The doctor said and Arjun nodded wearing his goggle, then proceeded to leave.

After coming out of the lift he made his way towards the exit, but stopped near a particular ward, which was empty.

He stood near the door, reminiscing the day he and the whole ETF team were desperately waiting for the doctor to arrive, when someone was fighting for her breath in front of their eyes.

She wished to live, but they were helpless.

Two of her friends were crying, praying for her, a chief had his head hanging low and He?

He was looking in to her eyes, silently saying her not to lose hope.

Even though she was breathing her last, but she was eager to make him understand that she could feel his pain.

The pain of losing someone close.

The pain of having your first love incomplete.

6 months... 6 months has been passed away, but everything was still the same and fresh.

He knew this was the sole reason for what Shree refused to come with him ;chhotu would have done the same.

The thing was they still could show their emotions openly, whereas others couldn't.

There Rathore and Sakshi dropped the old lady in her house, talked to her brother for few minutes then Rathore accelerated the SUV to drive back to ETF with Sakshi beside him.

"Umm.. Sameer mai kuch puchun.?

Sakshi broke the silence between them.

" haan pucho. "

Rathore replied, with his eyes fixed on the road.

" office me sabko kya hogaya tha? Specially jab Anita ji ne hospital ke baare me kaha tab.? "

Rathore's facial expressions changed a little, but he composed himself and kept mum.

"vo.. Lagta ni ki ye Koi case hai. Anita ji ke bhai bhi yahi keh rahe the."

He spoke after a few minutes of silence, avoiding her previous question.

"hmm." Sakshi hummed, getting the cue that he doesn't want to answer her query, thus she didn't press it further.

Hello.. First of all extremely sorry for this long part but no Riya's arrival in it coz it was important for the brief description of the case. So i decided part five in two parts :-) part 'A' here and part 'B' will be updated soon (in two days)...so yeah Enjoy and thank you so much for the lovely response (^_-)

Part-5(A)

6hrs later...
ETF office :
The conference hall was in pin drop silence, even though five friends were sitting altogether with none of their chiefs around.
Normally they would have chit-chat, tease each other taking advantage of the absence of their chiefs but not Today.
Today no one had words to strike a conversation, no one had that playfulness to cheer up the gloomy atmosphere.
Ayesha, Sakshi were worried now for the four men of their team.
None of them had spoken much from the last 6 hours. Rathore and Arjun still hadn't come out of Rathore's cabin, whereas Shree and Chhotu were sitting like living zombies.
Liza, who had came to the office after hearing everything from Ayesha on call was worried too and lend her silent support to her friends.
There in Rathore's cabin Rathore was still staring at that particular name in the notebook, while Arjun seated on a chair across Rathore's table was yet to gather himself from the shock and to come back to the reality.

Being ETF chiefs they did not have the privilege to show their emotions openly in front of the team members and that was the sole reason for Rathore excusing himself to his cabin right after returning from the hospital ;what surprised him was Arjun following him to his cabin, but his mind was too much occupied to hover over it, hence the duo ended up with being silent from hours in his cabin.

"pehli baar aesa hua hai ki mujhe samajh ni aaraha hai kispe believe karun aur kispe na karun."
Rathore spoke closing the notebook.

"aesa kaise ho sakta hai? Uss din hum khud Wahan the aur aaj ye.?"
He added questioning himself, then sighed.

"kya tum uspe believe karna chahte ho Rathore.?"
Arjun asked, staring at particularly nothing.

"ek police officer hone ke naate.. Nahi. Mujhe uspe believe ni ho raha hai. Ye Koi trick ho sakta hai, ya koi jaan bujh ke kar raha ho.
Per ek normal insan, ek mentor hone ke naate.. Haan. Mujhe lagta hai ki ye Koi miracle hai, aur mai chahta hun ki yahi sach ho. "
Rathore replied honestly.

" Tum hi nahi Rathore, ab toh sab chahte hain ki ye sach ho. "
Arjun murmured, clearly remembering shree, chhotu and other's faces earlier.
They all have developed a hope now and he?
He was still hovering over it, as according to him Fate and God never had been in good terms with him.

" Mai aaj raat yahin rukunga case ek aur baar study karne ke liye, aur tum.?"
Rathore turned his head to him, knowing what would be his answer.

"Mai bhi yahin ruk raha hun."
Arjun replied, thus Rathore nodded getting up from his chair.

"baaki sab ko bol deta hun jaane ke liye, waise bhi bahut late hogaya hai."

As Rathore came out of his cabin, Arjun stood near the door leaning his shoulder against the frame.

"Liza, tum Kab aayi.?"
Rathore's voice made all look up, bringing a pause to their respective thoughts.

"Hello sir, mai bas thodi dair pehle aayi. Vo Ayesha keh rahi thi ki kuch medicine se related documents hai, mai bas wohi check Kar rahi thi." Liza answered slowly.

"guys abhi ke liye utna hi kaam Karo, baaki ka Kal Subah kar lena. Bahut late hogaya hai, tum log ghar chale jao."

"aur sir aap.?"
Ayesha looked at him in concern.

"Mai aur Rawte yahin ruk rahe hain. Hum dono case ko ek aur baar study karne wale hain, aur Jo bhi developments hogi vo hum sab subah discuss karenge. OK.?"
Rathore looked at each of them expectantly, but all he got was silence in return.

"Umm.. Sir mai bhi yahin rukta hun. Vo computer se Sara data load horaha hai, toh mai soch raha tha Subah tak kyun wait karna.?"
Shree mumbled.

"Mera bhi ye medical papers check karna adha hua hai, so mai bhi apna kaam khatam kar leti hun."
Liza piped in.

"ab sab yahin ruk rahe hain toh mai ghar jaake kya karungi. Waise bhi yahan sabse achhi coffee mai hi banati hun, aur mai chali gayi toh tum sab meri coffee miss karoge na.?"
Sakshi chuckled, along with her friends that lightened up the atmosphere a little.

" Per guys.. "

" Sab yahin hain toh Chalo, adha case ko pura karte hain. "
Arjun approached them cutting Rathore's words off in middle en shared a look with him.
The look that clearly conveyed the message 'No one was going to leave tonight.'

Rathore sighed.

" Okay. Hum case ko 98% solve kar chuke hain, baaki Jo 2% hai usse hame jald se jald solve karna padega.
Hospital ke 5 doctors ek medicine racket me samil hain, jinme se hame 4 doctors ke naam pata hai, lekin utna kaafi ni hai. Kyunki 5th doctor ka naam pata na chalne tak hum koi action ni le sakte. Ab tak hamare pass jitne bhi information hai unke hisab se iss 5th doctor ko hi pata hai ki iss racket ka mastermind kaun hai, per unfortunately hamare pass uss tak pahunchne ka koi bhi lead ni hai. "
Rathore finished in a go.

" Nahi Rathore, asli mujrim hamare aankhon ke samne hi kahin hai, bas humne abhi tak uspe dhyan ni diya hai. "
Arjun spoke occupying his seat.

" kya matlab hai tumhara Rawte.? "
Rathore raised his brow.

" Matlab case ko shuru se shuru karte hain. Jitne bhi leads, statements mile hain usse wapas analyze karte hain,toh paheli ke Jo missing parts hain vo khud samne aa jayenge, aur hamara asli mujrim bhi.

By the time Arjun finished, the other 3 men were eyeing him strangely.

Sakshi said amused, and Arjun suddenly realized what he just said.

His forehead screeched being confused with himself, then turned his head to Shree.

Shree nodded confidently, quickly doing something in his lappy then eyed the LED screen of the conference room, where the hospital's image appeared.

"Sanjeevani Hospital - ek purana, jana mana hospital Jahan kuch din pehle 2 mautein hui thi, aur dono ki family ne ye dava kiya ki ye Koi natural death ni hai."
He clicked a button of the keyboard and another image appeared on the screen.

"Sudeep jain - Sanjeevani Hospital ka ek junior doctor, jiska ye manna hai ki hospital me jarur kuch gadbad chal raha hai, jiski wajah se logon ki maut horahi hai.
Sudeep ek middle class family se belong karta hai, issliye darr ke ye baat kisi se ni bol paya, aur chupke se ETF ko report kardiya. "
Chhotu explained, while the 3rd image appeared on the screen.

" Hospital me undercover jaane ke baad, hame pehla suspect mila, Raghu - hospital ka Ward boy aur iss racket ka pehla lead.

" Unka background bahut simple hai. Pichle 10 saal se Dr shukla ek dusre hospital me job karte the, Sanjeevani hospital unhone kuch 1.5 saal pehle join kiya tha.
Mai unke pehle hospital gayi thi, aur Wahan sab Dr shukla ko achhe se jaante hain aur maante bhi hain.
Unke kuch Purane doston ne Kaha ki Dr shukla bahut mehnati the aur kind hearted bhi.
Unhone Kai baar khud ki salary se logon ki treatment ki hai, issliye Wahan unka bahut naam tha. "
Sakshi replied casually.

" Aur unki family.? "
Rathore asked curiously.

Unhone apne neighbors ko bataya tha ki unki biwi, bachon ke sath unke naye ghar me shift hogaye hain, aur vo log unhe surprise dena chahte the, issliye unhe inform ni kiya tha. "

" Toh kisiko Pata hai unki family kahan shift hui thi.? "
Ayesha narrowed her gaze.

" Nahi. Kyun ki uss din ke baad Dr Shukla kisi se bhi apni family ke baare me zyada baat ni karte the, hamesha taal dete the aur uss ghar me vo 1saal se akele rehte the." Sakshi shrugged.

"Ab family kahan hai, Vo toh sirf Dr Shukla hi hame bata sakte the. Per unhone toh pakde jaane ke darr se hi suicide karli."
Chhotu huffed.

"Pakde jaane ke darr se nahi chhotu, unhone apni family ke liye suicide karli."
Arjun spoke breaking his silence, when all gaped at him in shock.

"kya.?" chhotu asked, puzzled.

"Jara socho.. Ek doctor Jo apni salary se dusron ki treatment karta ho, jisse log itna maante ho vo patients ki maut ka sauda kyun karega? Paison ke liye? Nahi.. Vo toh uske pass already bahut hai, toh phir?
1 saal pehle Raghu ne hospital join kiya aur Dr Shukla ne usse apne kaam pe laga liya, aur thik 1saal pehle Dr Shukla ki family kahin shift hogayi jiska zikr unhone kabhi kisi se nahi ki.
Kyun ki unki family kahin shift ni hui thi, unhe kidnap kiya gaya tha. Ye unn logon ne kiya jinhone ek imandar, mehnati doctor ko corrupt hone pe majbur kardiya.
Yaad hai jab hum Dr Shukla ko arrest karne pahunche, toh vo ghar ke andar gun ki trigger dabane se pehle khidki ki taraf dekh rahe the? Vo hamari taraf nahi, khidki ke pass rakhi hui table ke upar apni family photo ko dekh rahe the, aakhri baar ke liye. "
Arjun finished confidently, spinning the pen in between his fingers.

" Toh kya Dr Shukla ki family ko bhi uss medicine ki testing ke liye le gaye the.? "Sakshi sounded sad.

" Nahi. Agar Dr Shukla apni family ke liye itna bada risk utha rahe the, toh jarur unhe assurance mili hogi ki unki family safe rahegi. Issliye toh vo iss racket me itne achhe se kaam kar rahe the. Per ab jab Dr Shukla ne suicide karliya hai, toh unki family ke sath kuch bhi ho sakta hai. "
Rathore replied.
All fell silent afterwards for a while, and Arjun interrupted it few seconds later.

" jahan ruke the, wahin se chalu Karo. "

" Dr Shukla ke maut ke baad hame unki personal diary mili, Jo unhone chhupa ke rakhi thi. aur usme se hame 3 aur doctors ke naam mile Jo iss racket me samil hai, jabki unhone diary me ye mention kiya hai ki hospital se unhe milake total 5 doctors ye racket Chala rahe the aur unka ek head bhi hai. "
Ayesha spoke continuing the discussion.

" Dr Shukla ko 5 ba doctor ya unke head ke baare me kuch ni pata, issliye diary me unke naam ni hai.
Aur humne unn 3 doctors pe barabar najar rakha, per vo log bahut safai se apna kaam karte hain, bina koi sabut chhode."
Chhotu pointed out.

"unn 3 doctors se ek hai Dr sahani, Jo Kal phone pe Kisise ward no-11 me milne ki baat Kar rahe the. Sayad ye vo 5ba doctor tha. Lekin jab hum Wahan pahunche, Wahan koi nahi tha."
Sakshi shook her head.
"Aur aaj Dr Sahani chhuti pe the issliye humne Chup ke se unka cabin search kiya .Wahan se hame ek secret cabin ka raasta mila jiska ek exit hospital ka murda ghar hai."

"Haan aur Dr Sahani ko abhi tak pata ni hai ki hame unki racket se Judi sari illegal papers, documents mil gaye hain."
Shree added quickly.

"aur sir aapko jo medicine ke documents mile hai, Vo pura toh nahi hai per Jo chemicals ki list hai, usse lagta ni hai ki ye akele ek doctor ka kaam hai?
I mean ye chemicals bahut harmful hote hain, aur inhe puri tarike se study karke bahut Cautions ke sath scientists use karte hain. "
Liza pointed out.

" toh ho sakta hai inka mastermind ek scientist ho.? "Ayesha raised her brow.

" vo toh tab Pata chalega jab hame uss 5be doctor ka naam pata chalega. "
Chhotu said.

" Aur Kal Dr Sahani ke hospital aane se pehle hame usse arrest karna padega, nahi toh usse sab pata chal jaayega police ke baare me, aur vo bakiyon ko bhi alert kardega. "
Ayesha inhaled a sharp breathe.

" DAMN IT.! hum Jahan the abhi tak wahin hai, aur time bhi nahi hai hamare pass. "
Rathore banged his fist on the table.

"Shree tumhare pass sare doctors ki schedule hai na.?"
Arjun asked calmly, still not moving his eyes from the screen.

"Haan sir. Ek min.."
Shree took a paper out from a file and forwarded it to Arjun.
Arjun briefly examined the paper, then stood up.

"mujhrim hamare samne tha Rathore, wohi ward no-11 me, aur hamse chut gaya."

"kya.?"
Rathore's forehead screeched.

"lekin sir, hum jab Wahan pahunche Wahan toh Koi ni tha."
Chhotu objected.

"tha chhotu. Thik se yaad karo jab hum ward no-11 me pahunche tab Wahan kaun kaun tha.?"
Arjun questioned turning his head to him.

"Hum Jab Wahan gaye tab Wahan ek nurse, ek patient aur Sudeep tha aur toh Koi ni tha."
Chhotu murmured thoughtfully.

"Exactly! Dr Sudeep. Schedule ke hisab se Kal Sudeep ki duty first floor pe tha, toh vo uss waqt second floor pe kya kar raha tha jab hum Wahan pahunche.?"
Arjun folded his arms across his chest.

"iska matlab Sudeep hi vo 5ba doctor hai.?"
Sakshi's eyes widened.

"lekin aese kaise ho sakta hai? Sudeep toh case ki starting se hamari help kar raha hai."
Ayesha looked puzzled.

"aur agar vo racket ka part bhi hai, toh vo samne se ETF ke pass kyun aayega.?
Usse toh pata hoga ki aaj ni toh kal vo sab pakde jaayenge."
Liza added curiously.

"Haan Rawte, ye possibility ke chances Kam hai."
Rathore stated.

"Maine Kab kaha ki Sudeep hi vo 5ba doctor hai?
Lekin Sudeep achhe se jaanta hai ki vo mujrim kaun hai.

Sakshi looked up to him.

Arjun put the schedule paper on the center of the table, en all piped their heads in outta curiosity.

Chhotu stared at the name in shock.

" ye toh Sudeep ka best friend aur hospital me junior doctor hai. "
Shree exclaimed.

" Dosti... Bahut kuch karwati hai logon se."
Arjun murmured,hence Shree's mind suddenly travelled to somewhere else.

" ab jab hame hamara mujrim mil gaya hai, toh Subah ye khel khatam karte hain. Be ready team. "
Rathore announced in a loud voice.

All nodded, while Shree lowered his head.

" Sir.?"
"haan Shree.?" Rathore turned his head to him, waiting for him to speak up.

"Sir kya.. Kya unn logon ke pass jitne bhi patients hai, sab sahi salamat honge.?
I know sir mai iss waqt ek selfish insan ki tarah baat Kar raha hun, per Jabse vo naam, Vo photo dekha hai na sir tabse dimag me bas wohi khayal aaraha hai."
Shree gulped, en other's faces paled knowing whom he was talking about.

" pichle kuch dino se uski bahut yaad aarahi thi, aur aaj ye sab dekhke aesa lag raha ki jaise Subah ke sath sab gayab hojayega.
Mujhe yaad hai vo uss din hospital me keh rahi thi ki vo jeena chahti hai per..."
Shree couldn't complete his words wiping his wet cheeks, when Chhotu wounded his arm around him silently consoling him.

"Shree aaj Jo bhi hua vo tumne nahi hum sabne dekha, toh ye Koi sapna toh ni hai . Ek baar socho tumhare sath ab tak tumhare friends hai, family hai per Riya? Uske sath pichle 6 mahino se koi ni hai, per phir bhi vo akele ladh rahi hai. Agar vo abhi tak haar ni maani toh tum kyun maan rahe ho.? Ayesha spoke slowly.

"Haan naam me galti ho sakti hai, per photo me? Aap sab ne toh photo dekhi hai na.? Ye Koi beham toh ni hai." Liza shook her head.

"aur pata hai kya? Mujhe Subah se feeling aarahi hai ki hum bahut jaldi Riya ko wapas dekhenge. Iss baar photo me nahi, live dekhenge."
Sakshi grinned.

"ab toh mujhe bhi aesi feeling aarahi hai ki hum Riya se wapas milenge. Tum dekhna Shree."
Chhotu smiled a little.

"Shree, mujhe ni pata Kal kya hoga per Jo bhi hoga hum sab as a team face karenge. Okay.?"
Rathore looked at him expectantly and Shree nodded slightly composing himself.

Rathore looked up to the man who was still standing silently observing them, with an unreadable expression on his face.
Sameer Rathore knew that look on Arjun Suryakant Rawte's face, that appears whenever he's trying to say so many things but holding himself back or he's confused with himself.
Surprisingly he was watching this expression on the tough cop Rawte's face after so many years of his wife's death.
Rathore knew after Roshni's death, this man - in front of him was a living robot with no emotion, no affection and no confusion.
But today for a change he could see Arjun was trying to say something, but backing out instantly.
That means it was no where related to work he wanted to say, it was something else for particular someone that he didn't want to admit of caring.
Arjun released a sharp breathe stealing a last glance at the team, and walked away to keep himself reserved in his own world, afraid of any slightest emotional attachment anymore.

By the time Rathore and Sakshi reached the ETF office, all were present there.

"Team kuch mila.?"

Rathore asked sitting on his chair.

"Sir, local police bhi ek baar Anita ji ke kehne pe hospital gaye the, aur unka Kehna hai ki isme koi Sachai ni hai." Ayesha started.

"ek laute bete ko khone ke baad Anita ji depression ke chalte hospital aur doctor ko blame kar rahi hain,Jo aksar kuch log karte hai." Shree added.

"haan aur aese me hum doctor ya Hospital pe case toh ni kar sakte."

Chhotu shook his head.

"Anita ji ke bhai ka bhi yahi Kehna hai . Unhone Anita ji ko samajhane ki bhi koshish ki thi, per mujhe lagta hai unhe thoda time lagega iss sadme se bahar nikalne ke liye."

Sakshi sighed, then all heads turned to Arjun, waiting for him to speak up.

Feeling their gaze on him, Arjun swirled on his chair to face them while sipping his cutting Chai.

" hospital se bhi utna hi pata Chala jitna tum sabko already Pata hai. Dev ke hath me Jo cut tha vo usse surgery ke dauran ek junior doctor ki galti ki wajah se lagi thi. Bas baaki sab tum log jaante ho."

"lekin tumhe dekhke aesa lag ni raha hai ki tumhe Jo answer mila usse tum satisfied ho."

Rathore pointed out, hence Arjun looked away thinking something deeply.

"mujhe vo doctor ki attitude thodi ajib lagi."

"ajib matlab.?"

Sakshi looked puzzled.

"pata ni ye logically sahi hai ya nahi, per jaisa ki Sakshi ne Subah kaha tha aksar hota hai ki kisi patient ke maut ke baad, uske family wale sadme me doctors ko blame karte hain.

Toh Zahir si baat hai doctors ko aese situations handle karna aata hoga,ki kaise logon ko samjha bujha ke, aaram se baat karke shaant kiya jaaye.

Per Dr shukla ke baaton se aesa lag raha tha jaise unhe patient ki maut se Kam aur iss baat se zyada pareshani thi ki police aur ETF Wahan tak gaye the Puch tach ke liye.

Unki behavior se aesa lag raha tha jaise vo apni attitude ke niche kuch chhupane ki koshish kar rahe the. Sayad darr? Ya apna gunah? Ya phir... "

" tum pehle sahi keh rahe the Rawte. Tum Jo keh rahe ho vo logically bilkul sahi ni hai.

Kisiki attitude ki wajah se hum ye decide ni kar sakte ki usne koi gunah kiya hai.

Aur waise bhi Jo log sahi hote hai, Vo bhi attitude dikhte hai, jaise ki TUM. "

Rathore spoke interrupting him, earning a glare from Arjun.

" chalo Kam se Kam mai aapko sahi toh laga. Thank you.. SIR. "

Both of the men glared each other, while others kept mum not daring to interrupt them.

Next day ETF office..

None was present except Shree and Chhotu who were engrossed in both of their respective worlds.
